  1. Wow Great News SSteel. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication. Taking a Screenshot of every page is a great idea, Thank You.
  2. Put me down for the contribution as well.
  3. Gen or Franken? I can't Tell. Love It !!!
  4. Thank you so much Dan. Much Appreciated. Reading it now. Awesome.
  5. I would love to get a copy of this as well !!
  6. Yup you'll have to trim the feet, which hurts it's resell-ability if you choose to part the dial out later. The next best thing is the BP dial. It's 90%. Thinner hour markers / Slightly bigger, closer to the gen maxi dial markers.
  7. When I state "Biggest Tell" I mean, when you look at a watch, your eyes goes first to the dial. Reps have a hard time getting the silver rings and Lumes right. It's always too big and shiny and bubbly. Looks like Halos Gens have a very thin and more ambiguous silver rings and the lume is white and flat. For me, it's an instant tell. When I used to work at a Watch shop, I used to authenticate watches, first by the dial. If the dial fails, I don't have to look at any other parts of the watch. When I build my frankens, I focus on the dial first. Then prioritize other parts after.
  8. imho you should unpaint your parnis insert. But I do like the dial on your BP GMT IIC much better than the other dial with the gen insert. It is much closer to gen (Maxi) dial
  9. The bezel assembly and insert look amazing. But I can tell instantly it's a rep by the silver rings around the hour indices... It's too thick and it's not Maxi enough. If you're going to spend $$, why not fix the biggest tell? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Rolex-Mens-New-Style-GMT-MASTER-II-Black-Maxi-Marker-Dial-116710-/281084942884?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item4171f7da24
  10. The New 2013 TC dial is much better than his old 2012 Dial
  11. That's the old 2012 TC Dial. The new TC Dial Looks like this:
  12. For me, if I want to know if a watch is fake or real, First I look at the dial. Instant tell of a fake is the dial indices / Hour markers. Reps have rarely gotten it rightn BP/TC/BK, the hour markers are too small. It's not Maxi enough. The lume application is too bubbly/uneven and the silver surrounding the lume is too thick. The Indices / Hour markers from the YM would be a great switch if applied to the TC dial. It would be gen spec, but expensive. http://blog.tc-sub.com/
  13. wow Looking forward to downloading this myself. Fingers crossed
  14. $1650 for just the case?? HOLY Crap. I think my Honda Civic has a BB value of around $1500... Yea I could never pull this watch off.
  15. Yes the colors are really different. The gen has a slight sheen and for a lack of a better word, "Sparkle" as you move the bezel around. Like little green specs of color that shine. The pearl lies flatter and the metal around the pearl is thinner and flatter Here is a link to TC's blog about the pearl: http://blog.tc-sub.com/2013/01/tcs-pursuit-of-perfect-sub-progress.html
  16. Here is a Bezel Comparison TC on left, Gen on Right.
  17. The color is off and the Pearl is off as well.
  18. Date alignment looks good. Now you just need to change the insert, as it's an instant tell.
  19. I think something is .... lost in translation.
  20. Ebay. This one is a bit more, but i've seen them range from $1200 - $2000 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Mens-Rolex-3135-Automatic-Movement-DATEJUST-SUBMARINER-YACHTMASTER-/261006058293?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item3cc52c6335
  21. Beautiful. Now you need to source a gen LV green insert to be accurate. Wear it well.
  22. I guess if you have 1k dollars for the gen bracelet. Why stop there, get the gen dial for $800 Gen crystal for $250 Gen insert for $450 Gen 3135 movement for $1500 That's about $4500 Might as well buy a gen 16610Lv
