Thanks for all the suggestions, very much appreciated.
I decided to buy a brushed refurnishing pen. One problem i had was that there was a tiny scratch om the cg. Intructions on the pen was that it is able to remove minor scratches!
Like what w0lf mentioned, for a historic cg that is tapered using a sandpaper is tricky. The refurnishing pen was a easier method.
Will take some pics when i borrow macro lens from my friend.
Cheers,
Dan
Hi Pam Modders
Whats grit sandpaper should i use to achieve the brushed finish as shown on the pic.
Or will a brushed Refinishing Pen do the trick? Appreciate the tips!
Yeah, DW is V3. Its not too bad. Kain strap is the Veteran series, black pearl calf with ivory stiching.
i think there is a newer version on PT. U can try that. loooks goood. And better lume.
Pam 318 movement is same 005. Panerai OP II, 16½ lignes, 17 jewels, Côtes de Genève decoration on the bridges. Glucydur® balance with Nivarox® I spring, 21,600 alternations/hour. Incabloc® anti-shock device.
Manual Wind Pams use high beat 6497-2. Only the earlier Pre-V models uses the usual low beat 6497.
Apparently high beat is less noisier and the second has a smoother sweeping move (of course u wun be able to differentiate), and more reliable.
Just received the N 005M and its really a great build. Still very much a noob and i haven't held a gen 005 or the highly touted H 005K to compare. Thus feel free to add in comments on how i can improve the watch or is it good enough P.s: Thinking of getting the H 005M to combine the best parts.
Nuff said, here are the pics.
The gap between the CG and lever is pretty big.
Disappointing caseback. Shallow engravings.
Gunny Strap
Lever View
Wrist Shot
Forgot to take a lume shot. But its very good.
