I dont know what series my gen rubber came from but like I said, it is the most comfortable strap, my 112 and/or 219 have the rubber on it at all times. Put a wanted ad up on risti and/or TZ looking for the gen rubber you want (deployant or tang). Thats what I did and had many emails and messages about them. Dont forget to do research on the seller and/or ask for references. I know its only $75, but you dont want to end up with a rep strap or get beat for your money.

GREAT photos! 112 is my absolute favorite Panerai. I will own the gen sandwich dial some day soon. But until then I will wear my franken LH112.

I have noticed a difference between the gen rubber that comes with the boxset and gen rubber for deployant. The Gen Panerai rubber for deployant is the most comfortable rubber strap in my opinion. I couldnt live without my gen rubber and gen deployant. I switch it between my 112 and 219 all the time. It's the reason I picked up my first 112.

Do you want the inexpensive 21j version or do you want to spend $350+ on the Swiss version? Id stick with the v2/ultimate since it's the updated one. Personally, anytime a Swiss version is available I buy it. It's a better starting point if you plan on modding it like I do. (Asian clone isn't bad either, but for $50 difference Id go with Swiss) I ended up going with Andrew (yourtrustytime.com), and requested the black rubber and made sure to get the second version of the clasp. But just so you know everyone else has the same "v2 ultimate" (Josh, Angus, Tony, king, etc) it's just who you prefer to buy through.

I have a gen rubber and comparing it to the rep rubber, it's night and day. The new H factory rubbers look the part but they are not as soft and they smell horrible. You can grab a gen rubber on risti for about $75, tang or deployant. DONT buy them off eBay, I bought a few over the years and they were just rep rubber straps in gen panerai bags. Luckily the sellers refunded my $

I too never saw any pictures of white Ploprofs but went into the AD and tried a white one on and fell in love. I just received my QC pics of my White Swiss Plo from Andrew. When I get it next week I will post up many pictures.

But are they "REAL" swiss movements? I am always leery about falling for the "swiss" word from these Chinese factories. I mean I can't tell if my "swiss" Seawolf is any better than something I have with an Asian clone.

One more thing... Should I go with the "Ultimate SWISS 2824" or "Ultimate ASIAN 2824"? So after doing research lastnight/this morning I found out that I want a V2 Ploprof on rubber, then order a 24mm mesh bracelet that tapers to 20mm so I can use the Omega clasp from the rubber. Then it will go to PBDAD for some aqua colored lume and waterproofing. IM excited. Anyone with a White V2 Ploprof they want to sell, HIT ME UP :thumbsupsmileyanim:
