Well you can't see it in that picture so I was just going by what still needed done with the prototype. And I did not notice it was a gen while browsing quickly on tapatalk.
  4. I only have 2 photos of my LH112 on my phone. Although I am unsure what version I have, I will note that the dial texture is absolutely amazing and the fonts are pretty damn close, thats why I went with the LH. Now I purchased a 219 specifically for the crystal and case because my LH112 case is pretty scratched up and my crystal is not in the best of shape (I've been wearing this thing 5 days a week for the past year and a half). I was going to have my watchsmith mix and match the parts around from my LH112 and 219. I have the plans ready to go (which to use: movement, case, caseback, crown guard, etc.) but now I am faced with the delima on what dial to use. Here are the 2 photos I have, and can take more when I get home. I guess I will wait until Monday when I get my 219 and see in person what dial looks better.

Looks great! The only issue for 'me' is the CG lever still.
  6. Okay, I am still waiting for some watches from China to finish my 219/111/112 swap-around-build but I have a few questions. After reading all these 'reviews' about the 219, 177, 111, etc I am noticing everyone is complaining about the sandwich dial, that the cut-outs are not 'deep' enough. Now this is one of the reasons I ordered a 219, for the dial of my future 112 build. So my question is this, should I just re-use my Little Hero 112 dial for my 112 project or use the new 219 dial? My original idea was to use the movement and dial out of my current LH112. After talking with some members they convinced me that the 219 dial is much better than the LH dials, but after reading reviews and looking at photos, everyone complains about the depth of the cutouts, which to me is a HUGE issue. Thoughts, input? Thanks in advance!
  7. I'm on tapatalk and it let's me upload images from my iPhone like this:
  8. It looks so nice! Just wish it wasn't destro...
  9. We have the same tastes brother! Im gonna build a 010/114 as soon as I am done with the 112. What dial are you using for your 010? Nothing like the base dials!
  10. And yes, I will use the J caseback then, I didn't think about the 219 caseback being so limited.
  11. I love it! I am going to use the 219 dial too, seems to be a little better than the LH I have. How different is the 111J case versus the case of the newest Hublot factory Panerais'? (005, 219, 318)
  12. SWEETNESS! SO I have everything I need to complete this build. I will make my mind up on what CB and CG I will use later.
  13. The 112 is my favorite Paneari and I currently own a LH112, but its not in the best of shape, so I am building another one out of my current LH112, a 111J, and a 219L. I am going to use the LH movement out of my 112, the caseset of the 111J, and the crystal, sandwich dial & hands of the 219 but I need help with the Caseback and CG. So I have a "J" & "L" series caseback I want to use but I want to make sure the series goes with the dial, movement and CG. (no I dont have the LH caseback ) So if I am using a sandwich dial and a movement like this, what caseback should I use, "L" or "J" series? And what crownguard shuold be on it (brushed/polished)? A rollerball CG like the J series or a non-rollerball CG like the H series (like the LH CG)? I've been trying to look at photos all over the place to try to get everything figured out. Thanks in advance, and if I dont make any sense, tell me and I will try to explain it better.
  14. Gonna have to grab one of these up. I love all the sandwich dials!
  15. IF you want a 005K and dont feel like waiting, check around and see who has the 318L in stock, its the same watch from the same factory only the 318L has a different case back vs. 005K. This is the route I took because the 005K's were out of stock everywhere. My 318L:
  16. Any chance these would fit a Seawolf? I am in need of a good datewheel for my stainless Seawolf
  17. Which one is it? I just ordered myself one.
  18. What about these new deployant clasps Andrew is selling? http://www.yourtrustytime.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=37_61&products_id=6961
  19. Okay, I found some answers... I have a bunch of options. 1. I can send my 112 to Rex and have him re-lume the dial/hands as well as apply his AR onto the crystal and call it a day. 2. I can order a 005 and have him swap my 112 parts into the 005 (and visa versa). 3. Order a 111J and 005, use the 111J caseset and the 005 crystal and have eveything swapped around Cheapest way around would just be #1. Will a 111J caseback fit a 005 case? (can I put an open caseback onto a pam with a closed caseback?)
  20. The only Panerai I own and the watch I wear the most is my DSN/LH 112 (DSN case/crystal/case back, LH dial, LH hands, LH crown, LH CG, LH movement). After some time, it needs a "refresh", what I call a "refresh" is a new lume job, and a new case/crystal. The case that its in right now is just scratched, which doesn't bother me but the lume does NOT last long and the crystal has NO AR on it. What I need to find out is what direction to take this. I dont want to spend an arm and a leg and dont feel like waiting months to have the work done. I have a few options at this point. I can pick up a new 111J and having all my parts swapped into/onto that case, this way I will have a new case and a nice AR crystal --OR-- I can just live with the case I have right now and just buy an AR crystal and have them instal it while the lume is getting done. What I want to do is send my 112 to a watchsmith (not sure who to use, thats why I am posting here) and have them re-lume the dial/hands as well as swap all the parts from my 112 into the 111J case and visa-versa (or have them re-lume the dial/hands and replace my crystal with one with GOOD AR). What do you guys think? Anyone in the USA that will be able to do the work for me? Anywhere I can find a good AR crystal and/or case-set? Am I Better off buying a 111J and using those parts? Any other suggestions how I can "refresh" my 112? Thanks in advance!!
  21. Lookin good! I agree, but I wanted something that was a little more durable and wouldn't show scratches as well.
  22. Actually I just taped the crystal off but yes, there is a little bit of overspray near the 3 o'clock marker on the bezel. I loved that thing so much, and got more compliments on it than any other watch. It was rugged, and wore it daily as my play watch. Pools, spas, ocean, skiing, quadding. I ended up selling it to fund a gen. I think I might buy another and do it again.
