Tommy I still think it best to go for the 2.0mm size. Remember that one member here has a couple of genuine crown which he has painstakingly measured and they are 1.91mm thick so we are already going over that with 2mm. At 2mm they will look perfect. A 2.2 run for the Pre-A types as a seperate deal is an excellent idea and I am sure you would sell plenty of them (count me in on a couple of those)

The tracking now shows "Awaiting Customs Charging" God only knows what that means - any other UK people seen that one before?

Well the news is this. I can tell you that Guilles on the Panereh review paid around 220euros for his acrylic crystal. I have a company here that I have sent the specs to but am still waiting for an answer - 220eu is a lot of dosh!!

I can tell you that he paid a considerable sum of money for the mods done on this. The plexi crystal alone was 220 euros and the Rolex movt was somewhere around 1000 dollars - I just missed a Cortebert (the same thing) for $200 a couple of weeks ago!!!! Not entirely fair to call it a fake but at the end of the day that's what it is!!!

So far that's about 32 (including myself!!) - more more!!

Day bloody 4:

Will be ordering the wheels tomorrow (today now!!). No need for paymnets now - I will update the boards with more details at the appropriate time. Suffice it to say our dreams are to be realised soon!!! No luck with obtaining 7753 wheels. The answer is go to the name on the dial - so if anyone wants to call Panerai and ask them to supply the wheels be my guest.

Not so fast speedy!!! I posted about the 6 o'clock sub hands from 188/196 being the same size as the gen months ago - the crystals will be forthcoming soon. I am just waiting for a sample crystal to arive (but this has a slightly shallower dome) ande will post update as soon as I am able to.

Just for information - if a dealer describes it as synthetic sapphire that means mineral!!! If described as just sapphire that means sapphire!!

Absolutely - I have had these for a while now. And the hour and minute hands are correct too.

I spoke to the company today - they can only do gold and in one shade. They are sending me a sample so will update again soon.

Small update here - the wheels will take about 4 weeks to come as a special order. I am considering what quantity to buy but it looks like 75 might be a good starting point!!! Keep them orders coming!! One small thing - the dollar is bouncing around all over the place at the moment (good time to buy reps UK people!!) so I'm going to have to ask for payment in UK sterling please - £40 inc post.

You don't have to but it stops the strap from being strained at the corners so better to use it.
