  1. Love the military. Where you'd get the strap?
  2. the Eurotimez thing has me a bit hesitant at this point. Hopefully everything will get sorted soon and I can order what I need.
  3. Yeah, I knew about buying a gen, I just hoped that someone had a rep crown they didn't need. $75 for a gen crown and tube
  4. Messed up the crown on my SMP chrono some time ago and need to get it going again. Anyone have a spare crown and stem they don't need?
  5. Don't want anything done to them...looking for virgin noobfactory stuff.
  6. Well, that didn't work very well...Nanuq doesn't deal with these at all.
  7. I'd like to experiment a bit with a noob sub and TT sub, just not sure who's the best source for them. I'd like the real ETA versions, too...that's a stretch, right? The only sub I have <GASP!> is an old TW best and I never saw the need to replace it. Thanks for any help!
  8. CHS running fine, as well. I've also got a GMTII pepsi CHS that's still keeping great time after 4 years
  9. No hairspring...Pendulum series movement. How will this one be repped?
  10. Just for shits-and-giggles here's an exact cut and paste quote of what he told me about my p.o.s. rep: and I quote "$XXX for this POS ??? You gotta be JOKING, so its got a Hesalite Crystal ? So what ? Do none of you guys read the Sticky's and buyers guides in the Omega section ? This means you, ByTor You are making out that this is some kind of super rep, when the fact is it is just not....I just called it a old school superrep...oops Bezel markings.... FAIL Dots at twelve.......FAIL Rehaut...............FAIL Bracelet ingraving... FAIL If I wanted the ultimate moonie, I would buy the version sold by Ruby, and fit it with an aftermarket Hesalite Crystal, doable for a lot less than you are asking. And since when have reps been so rare and collectable that they actually go UP in price when they are second hand ? To sell a rep for a lot more than YOU PAID for it is just wrong, and against the spirit of Repgeek. This is exactly what I paid including shipping and WU fees I am sorry to threadcrap in your sales thread, but I would hate even more to see a fellow repgeek get ripped off, by paying way over the odds for something that is really nothing special at all." He should just pick up a cheaper one since they're obviously everywhere, right? His level or rep awareness is blinding! This was in my sales thread, yet nobody bothered to intervene on my behalf. When I tried to do the same to him it cost me a 3 day ban. And so life goes
  11. I actually tried to sell this last year on RG. Had a guy from England tell me it was a piece of sheeit based on one of your reviews. I told him he was out of his mind...that I bought it BECAUSE of the review you did a few yeas back. I tried to explain to him and the others that jumped in with him but it didn't do much good. I finally just removed it from the FS section and told him to suck it. He is still doing the same thing over there and actually got me banned for sticking up for someone he jumped on in the sales section. These watches were masterpieces given what the makers had to work with yet only a handful of people realize it anymore. Such a shame.
  12. Lume shot added finally
  13. It doesn't have a ceramic insert, it's the regular metal one, but nothing looks "right" on it, you know? The case is the new style, the bracelet is all brushed, the crown looks too long and I can't see it close enough to check out the handstack. It's a beautiful watch, though nevertheless. Is it possible his wife could have had the jeweler install a different insert and bracelet on the new style GMT?
  14. a friend of mine just got a brand spanking new GMT II with pepsi bezel. It has the same case as GMT IIC with big round cg's. I haven't seen this model anywhere and he won't let me get near it to check out the handstack...the crown looks like it's way too long for some reason. It sticks out a good amount past the crownguards. Anyone seen one of these at an AD or rep dealer? I've never seen a version like it.
  15. This thing is AWESOME! How have I missed seeing it anywhere??? It looks HUGE And AMAZING pics, too.
  16. Nice watch, but that strap kicksASS...
  17. the last two pics look like water dropping onto pictures. The watch looks two-dimensional...howdidjadodat?
  18. The lighting looks really good on these. Some of the pics are magazine worthy. Great job. Mind sharing the setup for them?
  19. I never wore this one...too small for my tastes. I miss seeing it in the watchbox, but someone else is wearing it...that's what it was built for
  20. Great pictures! How big is this watch? Looks HUGE
  21. I've got my hands on a couple of 2893-2 movements and would like to use one in a GMTIIC project. Which version would make the best donor and also, what date wheel would I need? Will an ETA 2893 stock date wheel work? How about hands? I've got a set of hands with GMT that are made for this movement, but will the ETA ICHS version of the watch have hands that will work? Thanks
  22. The item was added to the website in 2008. Look at the bottom of the page...
