  1. I have both a 288 and 214 from angus. They are exactetly the same quality. The only differance is I like the face of the 214 more. Because the 214 has an open back and obvious the mechanism is vissable it is not so much loved. If I would consider selling one it woild be the 288

Thanks for replying, lomberto. I tend to agree - I like the dial of the 214 a little more as well.

But is it true that the split second function on the 214 rep is non-functional? The button at the 7 position is only cosmetic?

  2. I was just reading some great reviews of this watch on this forum. A great watch, and probably one of the best reps I've seen. But something about it always bothered me. I noticed that on the rep versions there are hour markers at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 positions, and that the subdials do not quite reach the edges. Like in the first attachment.

But from the Omega website, I noticed that the genuine version has the subdials at 12 and 6 extending further out and that there are no hour markers at the 12, 3, 6 or 9 positions. Am I missing something here or was there a previous gen version of the Seamaster chrono that the rep is based on?

  3. the 7753 would be an auto movement where this watch requires a manual one

the seagull is a manual wind but does not have a correct funtioning 12hour counter dial and also the sub dials are a little too far out resulting in short 3 and 9 markers

Thanks, Andy. So do I understand correctly that there is currently no completely accurate rep of the moonwatch (the best one still has short 3/6/9 markers)?

  4. I'm struggling with the PO purchase now. Actually, I've purchased a couple of POs previously, which turned out to be bad reps. But then I found this forum, and I now know better. ;-)

But then I also noticed that Omega will soon be releasing a new version of the PO. As a matter of fact, it's already on their website. Ceramic bezel, squarer hour markers at 3/6/9, He moved to 10 position, etc.

Does anyone know any seller is planning on repping the new PO? If so, should I wait for that, or should I pull the trigger on the current PO? :wounded1:

  5. Hey guys, been reading this forum quite a bit, but first time post. Lots of great stuff here!

Does anyone know if an accurate version of the PAM00214 Radiomir is out? Or does anyone have one that could share their thoughts? Where could I find one?

    Thanks in advance.
