  1. Make sure you get the latest one as these guys have two versions. It's easy to tell. You want the one with the 7750 movement.

They are great looking watches and close to gen at a glance but suffer from build quality issues. The steel is very soft as well. The factory wont give out parts (not even whole parts like bracelet clasps or rotors) when they start to fall apart. As they frequently do.

Having said that... The 328 is my current favourite rep, after a quick holiday back in China, and top of my gen want list.

328 is basically the same as 312, but with bracelet, right? Yeah, what a looker - I'm thinking about the 320 on bracelet. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

take a look at v2 pam 359, it is also automatic

    hope this helps

What did they improve in the v2?

    Thanks.

  2. As I am waiting for a hktan strap I have made my strap look a lot better by making it slightly darker and by making it all one colour. I used some permanent pens that are for getting rid of scratches in wood.

Sounds very sh*t but trust me it looks better!! The rep strap is too many different shades of brown. It looks ten times better all one colour.

Oh also, it has lost that shinny plastic look and is a lot duller now. This is because when the pen is still wet you can dull it by dabbing a cloth on it.

    See pic below.

Obviusly I am changing the strap so this will only be on for a few weeks. But I think it looks a lot better.

I would defiantly recommend the Safari, it’s a beautiful watch.

You're right, looks not bad at all. The pens must have given it a more "broken in" look. Do you have any more information on the pens?

  3. They are very different watches. I personally would get both. But if you only want to get one, I would say the Diver. The diver is more versatile and can be worn daily if you wish. The safari is a more.. occasion-based kind of watch. Your call, but both are excellent choices! Thing about the safari though is that you might want to invest a little more in getting a HKtan/AP bands (or even an OEM) hornback strap and it will complete the package. The diver is fine with the rubber

Seriously, are the straps that come with the Safari rep really that bad?

  4. Like you mentioned, they're both different styles. But i would get the safari first. There are other nicer dive watches, imo. So if i change my mind halfway through...

I don't think I know of another diver that has the bezel rotating on the inside. And plus, I think this rep is actually WR rated, right?

  5. I'm wearing my diver for the last several days. It's not bad. I think for better reliability, get the diver with SW200 movt. I would get the Safari later.

Yeah, I've heard that the sec@12 puts a lot of strain on the 7750 movement and that it is the most likely cause of failure down the road. Not sure how much truth there is to this, but is it something to worry about?

Safari all the way. Chronograph looks nice IMO. Just ordered mine. Will share some pics when I get it.

Sweet, congratulations. I'm looking forward to your pics.

If you have the cash to buy a nice hornback strap, then get the safari

Everyone keeps saying this. What's wrong with the hornback straps that come with the Safari?

  6. heres some quick shots ,gotta get a proper photoshoot going here soon .as for the G , doesn't have arrow heads on face badge but has them on clasp badge.sorry for BIG crappy pics

Awesome, congrats on the new watch. This is the fully functional automatic version, I assume?

You can buy both models from me if you like. I have already 2 models grand Carrera in THE watches section for sale. And i'm planning right now to put these models for sale as well.

I have THE 17RS and THE 36RS in black and metal verslons. Reason for sale: i don't wear them because i have à lot other watches as well. That is why' i am selling now à lot of my watches. PM me if you like to see pictures of them and if you have real interest in them i can give you THE ref. Nrs of trusty time.

They are running real fine and i had never any problems with them. Of course no sratches or other damages whatsoever.

    PMed.
