Thank you j3T. Appreciate it. I misread what was typed.

On the rep 369 the sec is @9 o'clock position. On the gen its on the 3 o'clock position. I am not a PAM expert but visually its an easy tell for me.

Might want to go to puretimes storefront here, Angus posted a really comprehensive letter today, that explains a lot about the workings of the Chinese watch factory /dealer system. Doesn't say anything about hte current problems with crackdowns or dealer lawsuits, but it's a worthwhile read.
I went to the puretime.co site, and did not see the letter. Do you mind posting it here to share with the rest of us please? Thank you.

I have the same watch in my collection. Love it!

As you have 2 PAM's why not go for the AP Diver or DSSD. I personally went with the AP Diver as I tried on the DSSD at an AD and thought it was too bulky on my wrist.
It seems to me the AP diver is a bigger watch than the DSSD, with the caseset considered. How is it that the DSSD appears more bulky on your wrist than the Diver?

Yes, so better take note of this if you are placing orders for reps.. I doubt anyone can get stuff from Noob's currently.
My TD's website has been taken down totally.
check out www.kingshowbox.com

Just order a set from your TD.. usually I get my replacement parts FOC.
Just ask nicely.
-
Thanks all.. I gotta brush up my AP knowledge by a lot.

Just remember that wearing one while standing on an official podium is a bannable offence.
What happens if the podium is replica too.

If you google it, you can find several sources.

I have never bought from Puretime so I shall reserve my comments on Angus et al.But I DO know Connie of Kingwatch is a good TD. She can also give delayed responses sometimes but she has always been responsible and delivers in the end.www.kingshowbox.com. Try it, but wait a few days, cos as i mentioned in my other thread, the site is down, purportedly due to factory raids and such...
-
Actually, good site to buy watches to strip for spares like straps, spring bars, connecting pins, etc..
-
My TD (Kingwatch) just informed me that several rep factories are under raid currently and she could not supply for any watches for the next 10 days or so.
She has named the Noob factory as one which is currently closed.
Is anyone else tried to place an order recently or gotten any news on this? It seems to me China is becoming strict for the rep business.

I really respect people who can differentiate the Panerais. Its much easier for the Hublots and of course the APs.
But identifying PAMs needs much more knowledge on the watch.

I have the RG version and it looks great. I think the date window is a little more to the right in the rep. I am not too sure on date cyclops.
AR looks great on the crystal!
The pusher/crown alignment could also not be accurate but I am not sure about this.
My view is that it is at minimum a fairly accurate looking watch and its a very pretty piece.

Dear all,
I tried to introduce my new Montauk with pictures but unfortunately I´m not allowed to post pictures because I haven´t only 4 posts.
So keep patience it will come after my 5th post
Did you get it from Toro brand new or is it a modded one?

WM9 V6 Lorex
LOL. nice watch, my only complaint is the apparent lack of waterproofing.
-
Same as yesterday's!
A franken AP ROO bought from one of the reputed members of this forum.
-
lol do you have something against this guy?
-

Im looking at the blue themes, either:

Or,
http://www.1-pc8838....c12-p-5455.html
Good choices, both! Actually its hard to find an ugly ROO in my opinion. Post some pics when you get the watch with the new strap.

If it was an aged timepiece, with gen movement and such, its entirely possible that even a watchsmith cannot tell if you're wearing a rep without hours of scrutiny of individual parts.
Can really, why would a watchsmith want to do that unnecessarily? They are professionals and would just look to complete the given task well. Rep or gen, a watch is a watch, and its your own business what you choose to wear.
