  1. Just bought this one from Josh. Can't wait till it gets here. Then you guys can tell me how to set the dials. Thanks to all . Best regards and happy Easter.

This is a nice homage to Patek Philippe, but it does have some inconsistencies with the genuine model which I won't mention since I do not want to spoil your watch for you. I personally have been looking for an accurate complicated PP rep since I joined here but I have been consistently disappointed by the selection offered.

  2. Well an important thing to consider is the believability factor.

Most high-end timepieces (Patek Philippe like you want for example) are made with solid gold, meaning they are heavy - heavier in fact than any imitation regardless of the materials used (unless the rep has solid gold but then it will be very expensive). So even if your watch is 1:1 and you hand to somebody who knows even remotely about jewelry or watches, they will know something is wrong because true solid gold watches feel very very heavy... and the gold even tends to radiate in some lighting, which plate, will never ever do.

However I have had good experience with the 5mil plate. But if you are getting a Rolex with a TT band for instance, be sure to get the 14K 15mil plate. It's a little more expensive but makes the difference.

good luck and of course welcome to rwg

  3. oh god 10 cm ewwwwwwwww

I once had a 2cm harmless spider crawl near me in the washroom and sprinted out of there as though a bomb was about to blow. I am terrified (and disgusted) by insects of all kinds - especially bees and spiders. Thus, I will never go to Thailand. Thanks for the heads up.

  4. WOW... this is not the kind of inflation i can see on my pay-check :p

I tried on this Chopard a while ago, but it didn't convince me. I will be looking forward to your reviews guys!

Pretty much exactly what I was going to say. I'm not going to drop down $400 hard-earned cash for a watch just because it looks really close to the gen. I would rather spend half of that and get something unique. It's not really an ugly watch, but come on, an asian movement.... no thanks.. not for this price gentlemen. And on top of that it has a rubber strap, meaning it will never in a million years sit right on my oddly configured wrist.

Unless a leather strap version comes out and somebody fishes up some really positive arguments about this watch it looks like this latest super rep will be another disappointing pass for me. Now, if they decided to update the Daytona with a reliable movement that is readily available, then maybe we're talking.

  5. Hi everyone,

If you recall THIS THREAD, Jon Fort held a little contest that I happened to win I think "by being at the right place in the right time." Anyway, I wanted to take this opportunity to publicly thank him for his tremendous generosity and kindness in offering this beautiful timepiece, and of course share a couple of pictures. The funny thing is I was actually looking for a nice dressy RG piece and this is just perfect! So comfortable!

This guy is really something. Not only did he get me a new watch for free but he also paid for the shipping and it came in 4 days. 4 DAYS.

Jon, you are an asset to this community sir... this is what RWG is all about!

  6. remember your "first time".. wait what forum am I on.. oh ... shoot ..... replica.. ok .. anyway you will alway's remember the first one..

clockguy.. now the time will crawl .. because you'll be checking the tracking every hour... :p

How can I forget... I was trembling in fear thinking to myself "what in the hell am I doing sending all of this money to Mr. Anonymous in china... I will be lucky if I get anything even remotely resembling a Rolex. The feeling you get when you open your very first package and see a Rolex watch inside is indescribable. You don't really experience anything like that ever again.

  7. I recently spend $600 for a pair of Mont Blanc sunglasses and the craftsmanship and quality of them is unlike anything I have every touched in this line of product. They are so solidly constructed and everything is right where it should be, nothing flopping about and no squeaking or cracking its just precision precision precision. That is key. China can't do precision - not by a long shot.

  8. I saw this Breitling colt in real life! It is a very spiffy thing - nice and sporty, shiny, and yes - absolutely wonderful lume.

It sure is a robust sports watch and definitely worth the price of entry. I bet it's nice not having to worry if there is dust under the glass, or if you can walk with it in the rain!
