  1. Lani, my SMP Chrono came with correct ETA datewheel, straight out of the box. Weird, eh? It was from the first batch when this rep came out. I believe chrgod got one with ETA wheel as well. Here is some additional photos of the dial and dw.
  2. Thanks MP. No, I never installed that because I have a "classic patch" for PES5. Including best-ever players like Diego Maradona, Pel
  3. Yeah, lots of members have received these over the years. I think the best way to handle this was to completely ignore it. It's not your fault if someone sends you watches from China. You haven't ordered anything.
  4. Now, after the Euro 2008 this might be a proper timing. I've been playing this game since PES3, and I never seem to get tired of it. I just recently got PES 2008, which was a big disappointment though. PES5 and PES6 (PC) are the best football games ever created, imho. Both have their strong points, and I play them both. For PES5 I have classic national teams installed, and for PES6 I have the modern. Any other fans? If someone wants RapidShare links for this game, let me know and I'll post 'em. If you're not familiar with the game, check these out. ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">
  5. Yes, I've seen a picture of it. I know how popular it is, but I always thought that the green one (LV) is rather silly looking too.
  6. Yeah... they simply can't get the damn cg's right no matter what.
  7. How do you like the McQueen Stephane? This is a gen picture. Unfortunately it's not mine. The pic or the watch. Another gen forum steal... I thought you might like it. Enjoy!
  8. Yeah I agree. It looks very cheap, and very "replica like". That pearl just screams Canal Street. I can almost see a tip of glue squeezing out underneath.
  9. <shamelessly stolen from a gen forum> I think it looks cheap. The pearl especially. The blue color is rather ugly too... and I'm usually a big fan of blue dial watches. So I wouldn't be surprised if the 16610 prices skyrocketed after releasing the SS version of this.
  10. I'm not sure what kind of mods TomH performs, but he's located in the UK. Perhaps you could send him a pm and ask. Here is his section. Good luck!
  11. I must be the only DMB fan in Europe. I know how huge they are in the US, but this fine band is virtually unknown here. They have made some remarkable albums. I like their live stuff much more (Central Park DVD is amazing), but this ain't a bad studio effort.
  12. Yes, I agree. But some of them actually are in contact with the factories. Doesn't change the fact though... dealers (or their middlemen) modding the watches isn't a good idea. There's the cost factor, and there's the skill factor. Things that people like Ziggy do aren't easy.
  13. I know how to do lots of mods, in theory. But I'm a big clumsy man, and the watch parts are so tiny. I can do some very basic stuff, like cg mods though. But I'm very lucky to have many good, and extremely skilled forum friends who can mod and fix my watches. Like Lani said, it's a scary route to become "official modder". If you only knew the history around this subject... there have been some very ugly modder vs. customer feuds.
  14. Dealers get their watches directly from the factories. Wouldn't it be easier for the factories just to make better reps that don't need any modding? And most dealers aren't as well educated about the watches as our "hardcore" membership. I doubt they could perform mods that'd satisfy our needs. Eurotimez is the first one who starts offer "custom made" replicas. He combines MBW and Noobfactory parts for his 16610. I think it's a great idea, and I hope it'll be successful. bklm1234 is another guy who sells modded Rolexes. Very good ones... so there already are some dealers who do this.
  15. I just browsed the "My collection" area and found my own thread. And I just realized that it's been 8 months since I bought a new watch. Must be some kind of record among the addicts, eh? Well, I cheated a little... I bought a chs 16710 to replace my old ichs (which I traded)... but that doesn't really count. It wasn't a "new" watch. Long time ago I promised myself to keep my watch count at 8. It's difficult, but I'm sure it would go totally out of hand otherwise. I'm down to 7 watches now... so I have one space to fill. This is pretty much what I still have (minus the YM, gave it to a good forum friend). If you forget the YM, my newest watch purchase is from 14 months ago. Why? I don't know. I'm simply so satisfied with the ones I have. And I'm like Ubi... I don't want any watches that just collect the dust in the drawer. But I think it's time to buy that missing one now... I just don't know which one. I still enjoy this hobby as much as I did back in early 2005. Getting new stuff all the time isn't necessary... you can just enjoy the nice ones you've collected. What's your longest time without buying a new one?
  16. Congrats Scoobs & importr, beautiful gens!
  17. Lately I have developed an "itch" for TAG Link again. The Link band is hands down my favorite watch bracelet... I regret a little bit of selling my blue Link chrono. But then again the dial was very reflective. I might grab the brushed version eventually... or perhaps a Link GMT. This white understated model is very nice. 40mm is the perfect size as well.
  18. There's only safe way to ship there... and that is to ship from another EU country. So the EU-based dealers are your best option: Narikaa, Precious Time and Eurotimez. Maybe you pay $20 or $30 extra and have to wait a little longer when they source the watches... but isn't that a small price for a peace of mind? Personally, I only buy from the EU-based dealers and members, to avoid customs trouble (been there, done that). Good luck!
  19. So what's your current collection like Ubi? 2 Daytonas, these two and the vintage Seamaster?
  20. That Longines is nice. I thought it was a TAG Carrera before I zoomed into it.
  21. Maybe you got lucky. My chs ExpII is almost 3 years old, and functioning 100% perfectly. Good luck!
  22. What a beauty Ubi! I'm still wearing my Aquaracer.
  23. The full size Moon Speedy isn't cheap... the midsize automatic version is. That might be a good option. If you want a rep, I'd say the white Daytona wears the smallest from all rep chronographs I've had.
  24. The blue on the day-date model isn't 100% exact. The gen is a bit "more blue". Check this: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=48707 Nevermind the TAG site, they're always very slow to update anything there. It took almost a year to get the day-date 'Racer photos there.
