  1. I never got the vintage Rolex bug. Perhaps I'm too young to fully appreciate the 70's watches... but I like the "sapphire era" of Rolex more. Not the brand new offerings, but the 16610, 16600, 16570 and 16710. Another reason is that I haven't got the skill what it takes to modify them. I can do some very small things, but what Ubi and others do... I could never duplicate that. I'm a big, clumsy man and the watch parts are so tiny. I wouldn't mind owning a fully modded white 1680 or 1665 MBW's though... awesome watches. The dials on the red ones just don't cut it, unfortunately. They're very easy to spot (imho).
  2. Did you read my reply at all? I just recommend one. How on earth I could possibly be more detailed than that?
  3. They're both very bad replicas. There's absolutely nothing "perfect" on those watches. The wokky, zero thickness rehaut screams fake. Andrew used to sell the $78 variation of the Noob Yachtie, which was 100X times more accurate than these. bklm1234, Eurotimez and Narikaa still sell it (as far as I know). I thought Andrew did too, but maybe he's out of stock. Here is my review of that model. It's available with ETA as well. Stay the hell away from all those "perfect" models, they're horrible. Happy hunting!
  4. Precious Time can get them without any problems. Yes, they have correct hand stack but the reps are still inferior versions. Here's my (already departed) black ExpII with correct hand stack. Exact same watch as the one at King's site.
  5. Both are ok, but sub-par replicas (there are better ones available), and both of these watches are definitely not new rep models. I have owned and reviewed both. See here: Explorer II and old CN version of the GMT II. ExpII is a decent rep, but has hour markers way too close to the minute ticks, and date mag/cyclops too right. There is a better version available. GMT II was the best one back in 2005, but the "Noob" version that Freddy linked is way superior in every possible aspect. bklm1234 sells the best version with incorrect hand stack. Happy hunting! PS: Moved to the Rolex Area.
  6. @Allergydoc: I just packaged the MBK Sub (the review watch), and it's ready to go for the new owner. It's a beautiful rep! I'll go with my modded GMT 16710 Tuesday.
  7. This has deep rehaut and Noobmariner's excellent rehaut thickness. MBW is not as good in that department. Perhaps the case is the same, but somehow the crystal and rehaut merge better with eachother, and makes it look more like the gen. I'd say the rehaut is perfect on this one. From the sideview and the front. See the red marked area. Maybe it's the installed crystal that makes the difference, but this watch certainly has the unique gen look.
  8. @Ubi: Wow, that's quite a dress watch! @Alextor: That's a classic!!! A beauty! @d4me: Most of my wristies are from weeks (or even years) ago. But I'm with you today... wearing the 'Racer!!
  9. @TeeJay: All the dealers are ultimately "approved by the membership". The positive/negative feedback comes from them. I, for example, never suggest a newbie to buy from a certain dealer, except if I know that he has the best version of some particular replica. Being a admin team member doesn't make any difference, I always had the same principle. In that sense I've never understood the saying "First choose your dealer, then choose your watch". I think it's utterly idiotic advice, because the right way to approach this thing is to first find the correct, most accurate replica model and then start looking for the dealers who sell it. Of course the post-sales service play a big part, but I guess all current longtime dealers must have those things covered quite well. Our dealers aren't "officially approved", because 1. They're constantly watched by the membership and the admin team. Nobody's place in this forum has been carved in stone. 2. They play a small dealer's fee (which is ridiculously low, may I add...). They're only "renting" a sales section here, not owning it. They're not telling the admin team how the forum should be run, either. We make all our decisions based on the interests of the membership. They are our first priority, not the dealers. We can always play with words, but that's how I see it. If you have been around for years (as a dealer) you have already proven yourself over and over again... and if you're planning to be a dealer (long-term) you still have to prove yourself, in your every single transaction. 3. We don't, ultimately, take the responsibility for the dealers and their (occasionally bad) transactions. We only approve/unapprove their sales section, not guarantee anyone's delivery. Hopefully this explains my previous post, and my choice of words better. Whatever terminology I should use, I don't know... does it really matter? I think you get the idea. Thanks man.
  10. This review should be titled "Review of the Best Sub". This really is the best rep Sub I have seen. Congrats, and wear it well my friend!
  11. That's an understatement. This watch will put all other modern Submariner reps out of market in this community (if it's done correctly). Factories never wanted to do this for some reason. Kudos to EuroTimez... this is a fantastic idea! Personally, I don't care whether it comes with the lugholes or not. I just dislike the rehaut engraving (on both gen and rep).
  12. Well it looks like Christmas then! I want one of the new cases with no engraving, and I've found my final Sub. If these watches get smaller date numbers, I can only imagine how much this rep will sell ($250 fer Chrissakes!).
  13. If there are such dealers, they are welcome at RWG (as apprentices first)... as long as they pay the dealer fee. This is an open forum, and a HUGE market for good dealers. There are no "official RWG approved dealers", and will never be. Members and supporters are our main concern, and the members ultimately make this place what it is.
  14. Wow, that dial color is really unique! Enjoy thie excellent rep my friend!
  15. Same here, same here my friend!!! I think we both need to shoot lots of new pics of our watches. Not that I ever get tired of your shots...
  16. No probs guys... there are so many watches that I want. I first want the Ebel BTR, as soon as I figure out which version. I can always get this later.
  17. Nope. It's the same old 4th Gen PO with bad pearl, zero AR and bad bracelet/clasp.
  18. Difficult question. It's like choosing between "Pepsi" or "Wine/black" GMT Master. Both are nice, but I prefer the blue dial on the TT Sub.
  19. First... HERE is a little "blast from the past": Last year's midsummer weekend wristies. Heading to my summer cottage this afternoon, and I'm going to choose my winter watch for the whole weekend (same as my good friend Dluddy)... the Snow White ExpII. This beauty goes nicely in the summer too.
  20. Nothing, of course. But like I said, many people in the gen community already know the rep forums. These are not "secret" forums, they can be found from Google... that's not the point. The gen forum admins don't generally want to see counterfeit watches over there, either. TZ, for example, deletes all such threads. I'm sure they don't want links to counterfeit watch forums, either. Navigater broke our "code", and he's gone from here. That's the only thing I care right now.
  21. Did you read both of my TT Sub reviews? I've handled the gen many times, and I swear the gold is very "believable" on both of them. Those middle links probably are low carat solid gold, "trumpet gold" or whatever... The gold will not wear off, as they're solid material (whatever it is)... not plated. Review 1 and Review 2. I'm sure two-tone reps won't get much better than that.
