I traded mine as well. Initially I liked the watch, because it was such a great replication. Eventually the huge size just started to look silly. It has nothing to do with wrist size, the watch is just too big and unbalanced (imho). But then again it looks much better on a rubber strap (at least in the pictures). Yeah... I'd buy a 42mm super-rep in a heartbeat. Great size, great watch.

Not commenting the prices here... but once again I ask where are all the horror stories of the new Asian 7750? When people think about the bad reputation of A7750, they think about the old, low beat movement. This is not the same movement... it's been over 2 years when the new A7750 was released, and if you haven't noticed we see very few bad reports of it... considering that thousands of members own A7750 powered watches. So I'm not entirely sure if it deserves to be called "potentially scary movement" any longer.

And many of those guys frequent the rep forums so they're well aware of the stuff we have here.

Who is that guy? I hope he's not one of our forum members... and I hope one of our forum members isn't selling his MBW as a gen. Anyone who knows ANYTHING about red 1680 can call out the MBW dial in 2 seconds. What a moron!

Toad's Review of the Franck Muller Crazy Hours Color Dreams
By-Tor replied to Toadtorrent's topic in Other Brands Area
This is a stunning review. I have completely missed it when it was intially released... thanks for the bump guys! Crazy Hours is such a wild watch... it's straight from the Twilight Zone... just look at the fonts on the dial! -
That's a beautiful 16610... congrats man!!! I don't currently own a 16610 at all... but I might get one again (eventually).

New version of the Speedmaster's Day Date Omega
By-Tor replied to Omega Fan's topic in The Omega Area
Thanks for the update. Very nice watch indeed. Those pics make me want one. Dunno about those new "updates" though. Maybe the brand new gen version has them too? -
Pictorial of ROLEX "Noob GMT 16710", correct hand stack
By-Tor replied to By-Tor's topic in By-Tor's Watch Reviews
I'm not entirely sold to the new ceramic GMT, but I might get one too. But only if the rep is exceptionally good, and the price isn't impossible. Either way, it's not the same anymore. Nothing beats the classic Pepsi. -
I added a genuine Omega Planet Ocean to the lineup ...
By-Tor replied to wheaton26's topic in The Omega Area
Congrats man! What a great purchase!!! The third picture (double AR) really shows the difference between gen and rep. PS: It looks much better on a rubber strap. -
Pictorial of ROLEX "Noob GMT 16710", correct hand stack
By-Tor replied to By-Tor's topic in By-Tor's Watch Reviews
A newsflash: This might interest the owners of GMT 16710 rep... I found a new source for good GMT inserts. I already received red/black insert. What's good / special about these particular inserts? They use the Sans Serif font. Actually the font on the Jewelryoutlet insert is just as accurate, but I prefer this font style on 16710 insert. The red/black version also has correct burgundy red color tone. The JO insert doesn't quite capture it. Funny thing on them is that they have a sticker on the back. I haven't tried to attach it to the bezel yet, but I think it's a good idea... and this way you probably don't have to use glue there. Very good seller and the inserts are only $9.99 + very low shipping costs. Highly recommended. Here's his store: http://myworld.ebay.com/luxurydeals8/ Here's the insert I received (sellers pic). I like it a lot. Will install it on my wrong stack GMT as soon as it arrives from Pugwash. I also ordered the Pepsi insert. Can't say anything about the colors yet but they looked good on the preview. -
Very accurate rep, but the undersized crown really kills it.
-
I agree. With double AR, decent bralelet and pearl it would be a bomb.
-
Thanks Laz! Remember to post a lot of pics when you receive your gen.
-
46? That's not bad... when I saw your pic I thought you were much older. Just kidding. Happy b-day my friend!

New week, new wristchecks. Monday 7AM here, and I'm starting the week with this... one of my all time favorite reps. It really feels heavy after wearing the Rolexes.

What a brutal wakeup call.

Guide updated. Thanks again. This was a great community service!

Wow... just wow! I asked a few line summary and get this! A magazine quality review. Quite amazing, and much better that I could ever have done. It's reviews like this that make RWG the best watch forum on the Net. Thanks a lot man... the Guide will be updated shortly. PS: I agree 100%. There's no way to justify the cost, but at least now we know what's the reasoning behind scaling up the price on this.

We have lots of Daytona experts on the forum, Freddy for example. I'm not an expert at all, but I wrote a small Daytona guide, which explains the pros and cons of the seconds at '6 version. I believe it'd be a good read for the noobs. Read it here. The white dial version is my favorite. Yeah, the case is thicker but it's not really noticeable unless you put the gen and rep side by side (imho). The rep is visually quite good as it is.

Thanks Maciek. I thought you had one of these... in black. Why oh why did you sell it man? The correct hand stacks are so difficult to find now... and yours was almost perfect. @TA: Your black looks fantastic as well. Is that from our friend dluddy? Enjoy!

New Generation of Chronomats Coming Out Soon!
By-Tor replied to beanyboy's topic in The Breitling Area
How many horror stories we actually hear about the new 28.8k Asian 7750's? Not many, really. Their bad reputation mostly comes from the old low-beat version. -
ExpII is kinda "underdog" in the watch community. Most people are only interested in Sub and Daytona. ExpII has never gotten much attention. I think it's a brilliant watch, especially the white version. It has similar understated charm and class as the white Daytona. I find it really beautiful and unique watch. Let's hope the rep makers make a decent white dial one of these days. Thanks all, I appreciate the comments!

No, we don't deal with scam sites. Sorry for your loss. Many members have gone through similar ordeals before they found RWG. I can assure you that even if you received anything from that site, it would have been most likely crap. Now that you found us, go and research the forum... and get your favorite quality rep from one of our trusted dealers. Happy hunting and warm welcome to the forum!

...when this feels like the absolutely best watch in my collection.

Thanks for the photos, good job. I've always been a fan of the Noob, because from the front view it looks superb. It's interesting that the rehaut on the Noob is deeper that 16800. I never thought the lower rehaut on the Noob was such a big deal anyway. Reps have individual differences. As you can see from my photo the Asian version I owned had deeper and nicer rehaut than the ETA. It's probably just random though, and it had nothing to do with the movement. It's amazing how much the new crown improves the appearance on your Noob. The original rep crown ruins the watch completely. That's a great upgrade!
