Nice work.

Pearl is shite too. But perhaps it has been serviced with "Swiss imported lubricants"?

Outstanding review as usual. These movement breakdowns are amazing resources for the community.

I'm wearing the TAG today. Sorry for the old wristshot.

Thanks. I read that review but I'm still unclear. What does ttk stand for? Is that an abbreviation of the mfg. or seller? Is this just the standard asian movt watch avail. on most any replica site? Forgive my lack of knowledge regarding this. I'm trying
It's the rep model that counts, not the dealer... so my title "TTK Submariner" is a bit misleading. TTK was among the first ones who started selling that model... now almost all dealers have it. It's also available with ETA movement and IMHO it's the most accurate rep Submariner... and the best choice if you're not going to modify or rebuild your watch.
Almost all dealers have access to the same watches so you need to train your eye and see the differences between different models.

Yep, this is very nice watch. But I think it uses the caliber 3303 (same as Broad Arrow)... thus it'll impossible to replicate properly.
Personally, I'm glad we have such a splendid rep of Bond SMP Chronograph without any subdial issues.

Start from here.

Yessir... That's correct. One on the left and one on the right... When the allergies allow it, that is..
Didn't Italian police seize his Daytonas? Maybe they were reps?
These look like Submariners though.

Good old Seamaster for me today.

Thanks Robert. But I thought my watch had sapphire. You probably mean AR?
-
Haven't really photographed these that much... mainly because the men's Link is very tough watch to shoot properly. Enjoy.

Fine pics and collection mate. The white ExpII is a real looker, and I find myself more and more attracted to it every day.

Some watch eyecandy from Casino Royale (for those who haven't seen these yet)

I never hand wind my watches, either. I let them run down... and when I change a watch I just set the time and date... and shake it lightly.
I also have a perfect track record with reps. Absolutely no mechanical problems at all. Ironically my only defective rep ever was the Tudor that used a non-rep movement (ETA 2842). And even that only had badly installed rotor... and Palpatine fixed it with ease.

If I had to choose one rep Sub I'd get the Noobmariner with ETA movement. Some people swear by the "TW best" model but I think the too deep rehaut looks just as "wrong" as the low rehaut on the Nooby. The only thing that's really a lot better on the TW model is the crystal height.
Nooby has very good bracelet, dial and case. I'd just change a genuine crown and pearl and be happy with it.
PS: You're obviously a hockey fan. I also follow NHL from Europe. Predators is very good candidate for the cup this year.
Some pics I've taken of the Noobmariner (it has a replacement pearl, except in the first pic):

That's heck of a valuable Sub. I wouldn't trust a watch like this to anyone else but Ziggy, either.
Congrats!!!

Amazing quality collection. And beautiful pics too (as excepted). Thanks for sharing mate!

By -Tor: seems as though we've struck a nerve my friend "idiot", "braindead"? Who cares if they want to do so? Maybe things are different in EU. If I had Gen i would wear, but my gen Sieko doen't get me any attention if I want to look at watches.
I'l let you all know when I have one confiscated. It should be a humorous story. Unfortunatly, I don;t think it will ever be a story I have to tell.
Maybe I didn't make myself clear enough. If someone wears a rep in AD it's probably ok, especially if it's a different watch brand. i.e wear a IWC on a Rolex store. But if you go there and brag about your counterfeit watch it's just plain idiotic.
What's the gain? This is an underground hobby and should be kept underground. Why would anyone want to create unwanted mainstream attention and increase the awareness of GAF, their lawyers and authorized dealers about these watches? Maybe these morons give direct links to this forum as well? No wonder dealers' PayPal accounts have been dead and buried already.

Great watch & pic!!!

It's totally braindead to take your reps to AD. Anyone who brags about this on RWG is a complete idiot and should be treated as such.
I've said it before: it's the same thing as smoking a joint in the lobby of a police station. Very brave and exciting... if you're 12 years old (mentally and physically).

Good early Friday morning (at least to the European guys). I'll be wearing the good old Pepsi today.
...and probably my other cool GMT watch during the weekend too.
Have a good one! I'm afraid I won't have much time hanging in the forums this weekend though. Lots of things to do...

Great review and pics.

Right direction?
Well... if George and his overpriced, outdated watches are located in the east you'd better be heading west. Go west young man.
