  1. Thanks The Zigmeister! Now I'm more Gentle with my Chronos now! The Rollies seems to take it with no problems......I think they have a clutch on them or something....I've been winding my Yathy 50 times at one time koz I was regulating it and let it set for a day and it seems to take it...

This is probably true with non-7750 automatics.....please someone correct me on this if I'm wrong!

  2. TTK,

Could you let me know where my group buy Rolex LV watch might be at this point? It's 3 weeks after Feb 8th when you said all the watches shipped. I need an update.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the update!

Mine was supposedly shipped according to TTK's post date Jan. 30, 2008:

"ALREADY SHIPPED.....MORE TO FOLLOW IN THE DAYS TO COME.......SORRY I'VE NOT BEEN MORE ACTIVE IN POSTING,.....BEEN DOWN WITH THIS BLUDDY FLU THAT'S GOIN' ABOUT.......!

I believe 4 or 5 people from this list got there's already! Unfortunately, I'm not one of them......still waiting!

  3. I am also awaiting my 16610 from the group buy. I was not expecting it to ship fast but the wait it quite long at this point. I just hope it arrives at all as I keep hearing stories of items that still havent been delivered from last year! This is my first purchase through TTK.

I have chatted with TTK several times before through Skype and the responses were very timely. This is very surprising to hear that so many are being ignored. I have not attempted to contact him yet since I am still hoping that mine will arrive any day now.

Please let us know when you recieve your's, thanks!

  4. Ive been looking for a nice dress watch for myself. I liked the swiss Dewitt but not been able to source a box for that. I love the rose gold panerai's that are offered...just wanted to have everyone's opinion as to which is the best rose gold panerai (swiss movement only), in terms of accuracy which are available. Also how good is the gold plating....

These are the one's I've got from TTK (although I can't recommend him due to bad experience):

This is suppose to be a Pam 197, but it doesn't have the correct dial, with the BOB Shark strap:

    with my own made strap:

    Rad197.jpg

    This is the Gen:

and here's the other model I got from him, this is a Fantasy Black Seal, the Gen is SS:

    and both of them:

This is suppose to have the new plating process ala PVD according to TTK.

You could check my Test here of the 197: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...hl=torture+test

I still wear it until now and still ticking! The movement are both Asian copy, but I'm impressed with it. It's been

accurate to -+ 10-20secs/day. The power reserve is about 48 hours!

Hope that helps! BTW: Josh does not carry the 197 anymore, maybe the other dealer does! You have to get

it with the Tuxedo dial koz as far as I'm concerned, it's what give this particular model its character!

  5. Absolutely awesome :o However. Battery life and other considerations might mean I might not actually use such a device.

For example. I can listen to MP3s on my phone, but, it drains the battery (quicker than just having it on standby in my pocket) So I use a seperate MP3 player.

But when I'm listening to my MP3 player, it drowns out the phone's ring tone, and I can (and did today) miss a call...

So, what option... Phone, or MP3 player?

This is the kind of 'inflexibility' which could plague such a device. While performing another function, it is incapable of performing the other. Example, you're using it in phone mode, and someone asks you for the time. You look at your wrist, but, there's no watch there, as it's being used as a phone  Or you're doing some word-processing, and need to make a call. You can't just pick up a phone, you'd (most likely) have to save what you're doing, and re-configure the device... Flexible, but inflexible for the very reasons that make it 'flexible'

    [Edit to add]

To answer the question about phone or MP3 player, my best option would be to use my phone as the MP3 player, and just keep an eye on the charge, and have a seperate MP3 player for use when the phone's battery needs conserving :)

What phone do you have, Tee? I have the RIM Curve and use the mp3 player for an hour everyday and it still last 3 to 4 days!
