  5. Hi guys I know it has been a repetitive question but I have searched all posts with reference to these in search area, I've also searched for days on Internet but no joy at all. I can't find any mention of these except other forums with same sort of questions as mine. Does anyone know where I can purchase the black backing with white font German day and date wheels to fit iwc pilot with a7750 movement . Correct me if I'm wrong but were these a gen part? I'm looking for either gen or rep, either complete wheels or overlay. If they come in these options. Thankyou in advance. Cheers Ry
  6. Hi guys I went down to my local watch repairer today who I might ad has been amazing so far ! They had a look at the watch got on the phone and who would have thought........ They had a new glass at their watch makers workshop!! So I have left it with them and buying and fitting new glass is £50! Which I thought was a result!! I'll post up some pics on the return. Cheers Ry
  7. Cheers guys, regards to the case back...the watch was a leaving gift from his job back in the day and they had it engraved for him, and after wearing it day in day out it has corroded. Going to take it to a watch shop today and see what they can do.ill keep you posted. The problem I've got now is when I was on the internet last night trying to find information on the watch I'm now looking at vintage gen watches to buy!!!!! This is so addictive
  8. Hi guys and girls firstly i cant figure out how to change title of topic as missed m out of cosmic!!!!! After speaking to my dad about my new obsession with watches he dug out his old seamaster and dropped it round tonight. he said in previous conversations that it was his most worn and favoured watch, but doesn't wear it any more as the strap the strap broke years ago and never got round to fixing it. now he no longer can find the strap!!!!! Details on the watch: on the rear as you can see it has the numbers 166022-tool 105. i'm guessing that the tool number to remove the crystal is tool number 105? i'm only guessing and please correct me if i am wrong but i can't see any way of getting to the movement through the case back. and on the front it has your usual omega logo with automatic underneath. and model name seamaster cosmic on lower of dial. I don't know much about the watch to be honest apart from i had a brief look on the internet and found a little info saying it was dated mid sixties i need to do a bit more research tonight. I haven't got the strap unfortunatly and cant find many pictures to identify the correct strap. i would like to try get original strap but if not i will get a black leather strap made up at toshi straps. The lug width is 19mm so a 18mm strap would fit the watch comfortably. my plans are to find a bit of information on it...... if anyone knows please feel free to comment, also i'm going to get the case and crystal polished or replaced if i can sauce one in good nick. as you can see in one of the pics looks like a small crack. it winds up ok and has been running for over an hour already so its looking promising. my idea it to try get it back up together and give it back to my dad as a surprise christmas present. one thing i did notice is it correct that when you put the crown wheel out the first click is the wind the watch, second is the set time and when you get to third click it automatically jumps a day on the date wheel, and the only way i can change day again is to push crown wheel back in and pull out again?so any help would be much appreciated. Here's a few pictures............
  9. According to the dealers websites the latest versions of the day date are 43mm buddy
  10. How comes you had 2 reps? Did you sell one or did you have issues with them? The lettering has the line joins through middle of omega rather than the underline of the prev version.looking at the gen it looks spot on! Regarding the sundial at 6 I didn't even notice until you pointed it out...lol must have clicked over whilst I was taking pics earlier today. I may have to get it serviced at some point hopefully to prolong the life of the movement.
  11. Hi guys i received my first rep last week from joshua at perfect clones which i will put a feedback post up after this. The watch in question is an omega 300m chrono diver with asian 7750 full working chronograph movement which has got good power reserve.the exact details of the watch i don't honestly know as i am very new to watches. This is my first rep purchased and overall i am very impressed with the quality and feel of the watch. i was at a friends house last night and until i told them it was a rep they thought it was gen, even though 2 of them are gen planet ocean owners. the only obvious incorrect items with the rep i can see are, the bezel pearl which seems to be a standard item on all reps overall, and the sub dial hands are a tad too short, but this again is minor as its not that noticeable when the watch is on your wrist until you look closely. Both of these items you could easily sort out by purchasing gen sub dial hands and gen bezel. I'm sure i will mod these when my new tool kit arrives from watchbitz and i can find gen parts at good price. The strap seems a solid construction and the clasp seems to be pretty good even though i have rear topics about them failing quite quickly. the detailing on the clasp looks pretty good and the raised omega sea horse logo on case back looks good too. al in all in my eyes is a good rep for the small cost of $280. Below i've added some pics of the watch for you all to see..... which i may add taking photos of watches sounds easy but is actually very hard.this being the first watch i've ever taken shots of so excuse my pictures as they are not amazing. please feel free to comment or if there is anything i can answer ill do my best.cheers for looking Ryan
