  1. @dluddy, that is beautify.. SSD for me today...
  2. @RG congrats on making it through night one. Im glad you had fun. @Chronus, for some reason, depending on the dish, I dont feel right if I am not sweating from what I am eating. I like pretty hot, but I prefer complex heat if you know what I mean. I hate one note spicey dishes. I dont use much tabasco, the levels of vinagar to spice arent right for me. I like franks redhot or texas petes as a hot sauce to put on anything save dessert. for next level I have some scotch bonnet sauces from the carribean I use. those will make you sweat. I have some synthetic hot sauces that people get me as gag gifts that are like 1 million scoville units. stupid hot stuff that just makes your body want to vomit. my favorite all time spicy additive came from a coworkers grandmother in India. their family makes it once a year. Its a red powder with 14 ingrediants. you are supposed to add it to yogurt or milk to make a marinade for chicken, but i just coat the meat with it and steam or grill it. If I had some extra I would send it. it have like 4 clear spicy notes. its pure genius. I asked to buy the recipe, but they said its for family only. I hope my coworker never leaves... I dont know if I could go without it...
  3. Best of luck good sir. My wife studied ballet for the better part of 20 years, loves dancing and is very very good at it. I have been a bit of a daredevil my entire life enjoying activites as BMX, downhill mountain biking, 'extreme' sking, bungee jumping, extremely spicey food, etc etc etc, I love all of it and have a few trophies and scars to show for it. I love my wife with a passion that I never thought possible. she is the single most amazing woman I have ever known, and I would do nearly anything for her. Having said this, she could never ever ever talk me into taking dance lessions. I barely made it through our dance at our wedding. I have never been a dancer. I am a spectator. Me and the dance floor are oil and water. my wife is beautiful and graceful, and while I am 'dancing' I am a train wreck. As a youth I gave it the old college try, but no amount of help short of riding on the back of another dancer would make we look even remotly like a dancer. I applaud you RG. I wish you the best in this new adventure. Just one last question, what watch are you going to wear to the lesson? maybe we need a weekly wrist check Best regards, M
  4. dluddy, if I ever see you on the mean streets of boston, you better keep that sexy beast away from me... or it will be mine... very nice
  5. @ lani, I am kidding about the watch oil. when i worked at the bicycle shop, at the end of the summer, we would tell gullable people that they needed to change the air in their tires to fall air, or they would get flats... because everyone knows that summer air is thinner than fall air... we would also tell the guys that would buy the lightest most expensive bike that we could put helium in their tires to make their bikes lighter... oh those were the days... making fun of the bike noobs...
  6. @lani-I had paid for special anti freezing watch oil from the factory when i bought her... I am still wearing my summer jacket... its not that cold yet. I did have my noob stop the other week while visiting a childrens muesum. they had this awesomly huge magnet with steel washers that you could play with, and it stopped my watch dead. scared the crap out of me... took it to the supermarket and used their security demagnitizer at the self checkout. worked like a charm
  7. here is one for lani... 28 degrees and hard frost on the cars... (sorry the watch is blurry, it was pitch black out) here is the watch in her glory... SSD v1 on bracelet

  16. I love that watch. I need to buy one. anyone in the market for a slightly abused liver? or kidney?
  17. well what will they think of next. excited to see you franken exp-gmt II. sounds sexy. thanks for the info...
  18. bk are you serious? my crystal on my expII has a weird groove around it that bugs me, maybe I will look for a gen or at least clark crystal...
  19. great idea lani. I like the horilogical fact idea. I used to have a daily 'fact or crap' calender. everyday was a different question and you had to guess fact or crap. Maybe me have a weekly horilogical 'fact or crap'. We could have a weekly thread that ties in with it even. another thought would be to have important dates in watch history. kind of like when they put the holidays on. for example on october 23, 2008 rolex unveiled the gaytona II. obviously that wont happen for at least 2 years but if we could find say the release date for the first rolex gmt, we could put it in the calander. we would only need 20 dates at most. just a thought though.
  20. good luck with blaming marital problems on bytor and his reviews. I tred that one with the boss and she said what the hell is a bytor and why do I care what he is reviewing... now I just read on my phone/pda and she thinks Im doing work. then she just hates my job instead of you guys as for PT. he is great. He will get back to you. patiance... I know its hard but it is the first thing you need to learn.
  21. no problem. and thanks for the beer
  22. lets try to set you straight... The non ceramic noobmariner from anyone with a dg2813 movement should run you $100 to $130 usd. the link you posted is for a watch that does not exist yet (fantasy). it is not the noobmariner people think of when you say noobmariner. I am as I type this wearing the $100 noobmariner. I bought it before eurotimez had his latest offering, the euromariner. IF that watch existed when I bought my noobmariner, I would have spent the $ to buy it with the 2813 movement (around $275 I believe but confirm with chris) It is a superior watch in that it excepts gen parts if you so wish to install them. there are other reasons why it is better, but I will let you search those out for yourself. good luck and I hope this helped.
  23. made me laugh... and after the day ive had, I thank you. now im off the abuse my liver...
  24. great pics... I miss my ingy... come on vac, fix her up fast my friend
