The 1680 was the only gen Ive ever owned. So I was greatly excited to see joshes white 1680. Funny thing is it was so long ago that I owned the gen I cant remember much about it. I didn't hang out on the forums back then and didn't really study the watch. Just wore it and thought it was cool. One thing thats not right on this rep is the crown. Its too big. The pictures make the crown look much larger than it actually is. Especially in close up shots. The bracelet feels a lot lighter than I remember my gen. But that was 10 years ago. lol Anyways here are the pics. All in all for $200 a pretty decent rep. The crystal is super nice on these reps the date mag is nice to.

Not trying to rant here. Just wondering how long before my vendor comes to the rationalization that the package is LOST.

No updates for 40 days... I know he is not wanting to send a another watch and have two watches show up but damn.

My TOG is 36mm. What makes a TOG a Thunderbird?

This is my gen thunderbird which hardly gets used. I prefer using my reps.

Beautiful watch. Has to be a future classic. Why cant they make a reasonable rep of this watch

If you want accuracy, you may have to build your own. I have not come across any rep 'Birds with the correct 36mm case like the gens. This is a gen 1625 (made between 1959 - 1977 & powered by either 1565 or 1575)

I like the thunder bird but Im not finding any that have the correct 36mm case. Most are 38mm. Where to buy the most accurate I dare ask..

The day Nov 27 i ordered two watches and a Cartier box from Perfect clones, and 2 bracelets from yuki , and even today I have only received the box and bracelet, but didn´t the watches , can be a problem ? communicate with the provider? is normal ?

It has the gen bezel construction.

I bought the 1680 from Pt then sold it as it was definitely nite good for modding.

UGG!! We bought ours at roughly the same time. You've had yours for a few days now and mines still setting in customs at O'hare. Nice watch though!

Reading this with interest as I'm thinking of ordering a few inexpensive watches from watcheden and I live in Chicago. Not good.

I just received an EMS package yesterday from Hong Kong, and it is quite large and heavy. It took 4 or 5 days in total and arrived through a NY State airport/Customs station.

The holiday season .nor the increased screening / enforcement of "heavy boxes" rumors mentioned here frequently did not seem to slow it down at all.

It must the difference between having a parcel go through NY state airport or say LAX as far as customs at this point. I now have three parcels that left china according to ems on the 8th one on the 9th. No more ems updates. Those parcels most likely made to Chicago by the 10th. Customs just must being sitting on them. Although it doesn't show that customs has accepted them on the tracking system. Again Ive never had a parcel drop off the tracking system let alone 3!

I just wish for some kind of update. I have to say these are probably my last reps (if they do arrive). Why not use a company like FedEx claim its jewelry, claim a value of $300, pay the tax and avoid all this mess?

This is disastrous for me as I have 3 watches $800 in limbo right now that have to pass through o'hare. I dont know why the vendor didnt warn me to use euro shipping. This makes 8 days my parcel has set unclaimed by customs. It just dropped off the planet. Ive never had a parcel drop off ems for even close to that amount to time. Its always either in transit or being held or released by customs.

10 days with no updates from ems. Last known was on the the 8th of this month.

I was searching the net last night and discovered that O'hare over the last 3 weeks has been seizing all manner of parcels. Basically their taking advantage of the new anti terrorism laws. Anything coming from china gets alot of attention. In the past weeks they've confiscated 1.2m in counterfeit electronics, 65000 dvds, 100,000 Cuban cigars and countless counterfeit bags ect. This marks a change from primary drug related enforcement of the past. Point is O'hare is becoming if not already is a bad area for reps to pass through.

There is one instance I believe awhile back maybe 4 years ago. Anyways goes something like this, gentlemen is having breakfast in a belgium cafe wearing his very poor rolex rep. So poor in fact that a rolex official eating in the same cafe makes a note of it and reports it to the local officials. He is then called at his residence and told to report immediately to the local police station. He shows up with his rep not thinking that the rep was the reason for the phone call. He is confronted about the rep but denies the fact its a rep. He begins to cry and is held over night in jail where he is badly beaten though the night. Well thats the story

Wow none of this is good. Especially considering after a year of buying no reps I bought 4 over the past week.. Against better my judgment. Ive always in the past bought one and waited for it to arrive safely.

Ive never had a ems package post for foreign acceptance then not post again for 6 days. Also whats all these problems with EU customs?

youd have to fit a 702 tube and crown to achieve that, is it really worth the headache?

LOL no. I'm just going to add the watch to my collection. I think its still a neat watch. Not accurate. But looks to be a nicely made watch.
