  1. Nice collection. I am thinking Submariner, or one of the below for my next one. I am probably going to be stupid, and break my own rule about keeping it simple. I figure, if I don't like it, I can give it as a real cool birthday present to someone. http://www.1-pc8838....ph-p-11563.html http://www.1-pc8838....800-p-4653.html http://www.1-pc8838....750-p-9717.html I have this exact watch, that I want to sell because I personally don't like it. I wore it on like 5 dives, and that is about when dive computers came out, and it just wasn't necessary. http://www.ebay.com/...em=270897349920 What do you want for the GEN PO? PS: Every time I look at my wife now she obliges me by saying, "What time is it?"
  2. Reasons I didn't get the chrono. 1. I'll never use the features. I have a 1'st gen titanium Sea Pathfinder that can basically do everything in the universe, and I sometimes force myself to use the compass or something on it. 2. The Asian 7750 action, not as robust as the non-chrono, simpler "Swiss" movements. 3. Accuracy of REPlication, or more tells compared to the simple designed ones. 4. I wanted to keep it simple, like this quote.
  3. The thing is SO much better than I thought it would be. I mean, I understand that $350 is a small fortune in China, but damn. It really is amazing. Now I have to decide what to get next! It is between PAM 196K and a Rolex. Vandal - I have my fingers crossed for you.
  4. My REP is not half a grinding revolution. It sounds just like how you desribe the GEN. Back it out c. clockwise several turns (I didn't count them.) It clicks or pops. You pull it out, one or two audible and tactile clicks to change the date & time. Press it in gently, and screw it back in several turns. Take care at the end and realize that you are a human, this is an 1/8" threaded Chinese watch, and you can easily torque this thing to breakage.
  5. When you're looking through them, remember you can quickly identify the Automatics from the Quartz, the mid size from the large cases by the pictures, without going through the descriptions. Automatics have 4 lines of text, quartz has 3 lines of text. Large size case has, next to the date at 3 O'Clock a parital lumed marker, mid-size has just the date window, or in some cases a much smaller scrap of lume. I have seen them for $1,300 USD Buy It Now, yea.
  6. All these are OUR TIME. Remember, I am Central Timezone, so if you go back through the posts I made, it will look like an additional day because our today is their yesterday. I ordered it 8 days ago on the Monday 16'th. Got QC pictures on the 16'th - EMS tracking info on the 16'th, it is tied to a number on the watch band in the pics. Approved QC pictures on the 16'th. Package sent out on the 17'th. Got to the USA on the 21'th. Customs in on the 21'st (Saturday 8 a.m.) Out of customs on the 23'nd (Monday 1:30 p.m.) Arrived today the 24'th. The watch is absolutely beautiful. I have been wearing it all day, without even removing the half link it needs to fit perfectly. I just couldn't wait, and I had a bunch of appointments to go to. The extra money that I paid, I would say is WELL worth it. I have ZERO compaints, concerns etc. and can highly recommend Joshua at Perfect Clones. I would say, for a first REP purchase, it is probably best to have the little additional security and communication. My wife asked what an additional laser etching was on the caseback, and got a kick out of the answer that it was the "anti-counterfeiting" mark. "That worked well.", she commented wryly. That 45mm is the big brother to the one I got. Probably going to be the same awesome quality. I have a large wrist also, and was going back and forth with the 42-45mm options. Can't wait for you to get yours. I have REP fever now!!! What a great find... THANKS FOR YOUR HELP COUGAR!
  7. I GOT IT! I love it. It's fantastic. The quality is great, the "flaws" people talk about, honestly, they are so, so, so minor that they are difficult to see with the naked eye. I realized now that when you are looking at high res pictures on the web, these are about 20x's bigger than in person. If you painstakingly examine the pearl, you can kindof, maybe see it isn't exactly positioned right. This isn't something someone is going to just notice (at least on mine.) I personally can not even see it is off. Attached picture, I didn't even fully clean it off or anything I was so pumped! Realize that when you are looking at this image (I guess depending on your screen size, mine is 24") that this picture is probably minimum 5X's the actual watch size.
  8. Of course Ade won't link to them, because he's too powerfull, but trust him... they're there!
  9. I got mine from Josh at Perfect Clones. www.1-pc8838.com You have to watch out because not only do these guys rip off watches, but they rip off each other, ripping off watches. What I mean by that is there are EXACT copy website of several of these better dealers like Pure Time and Perfect Clones. THe sites look the exact same and even have the domain name of .com, .net, . whatever. Use the link above for PC. I was going to get it from Trevor, as he was $60 or so cheaper, but Josh was faster on the response time, had it in stock and did the waterproof pressure test on the watch. I would give Trevor a shout too and see if he has it in stock trevor123.bobo at gmail dot com This is what he told me: This is the watch I got: http://www.1-pc8838....824-p-9522.html I now understand that the $148 version Josh has is the same watch externally, only the action is an Asian clone of a lessor desired movement. I didn't quite get that at first. http://www.1-pc8838....800-p-9574.html I have no qualms recommending Joshua. Very good experience. Also, FYI, supposedly the 42mm is more accurate than the 45mm. IF I understand the facts correctly. I'm sure someone will jump in on this topic shortly.
  10. Yea, I agree. Not worth it. I was even debating REP vs. GEN for the price of used ones in this model. Franken, no brainer, you'll sink more into it than is rational. That is, unless it is for fun, for a hobby, then Hell, go for it. I was able to consistantly find good, not beat, 300 M's on Ebay for $1,300. Most of them from reputable brick and mortar places with waranty.
  11. Everything bothers me, if you didn't notice. No, but seriously, you're right. I get it today and I can pour over it & sniff it up and down and see what I can and can not live with.
  12. You're crazy, you should get one. Ade, is there anyone cooler than Clooney & Bond? No. Get one, it's $300... who cares. Sidebar, I emailed Trevor last night, and I got an almost instentanous response. Looks like CNY was causing the delays afterall. I am looking for my next watch already... and I just spilled my coffee.
  13. 2012-01-24 05:48:00 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA Arrival at Delivery Office
  14. You want me to try to see if I can get him to order a couple 42 mm GEN bezels for us? I'm going to get one for myself anyway if he can get <$299 USD.
  15. Vandall, I am driving my wife crazy checking EMS every few hours. I just heard, "It's FIVE O'Clock... NOTHING ELSE IS GOING TO HAPPEN!" I just checked it, and she was right.
  16. And now for something we'll hope you'll really like! 2012-01-23 13:27:00 - UNITED STATES OF AMERICA USORDA - Released from Customs Hopefully get it tomorrow. {Insert pump-up music here!}
  17. That's unfortunate. When I get mine, I'll have to see how bad it really is and determine if I can live with it, or figure out some way to fix it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-100-original-brand-new-Planet-Ocean-XL-45mm-Bezel-set-/270886079348?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item3f12118b74 265 USD is a lot better than 265 GBP for anyone with a 45mm orange.
  18. Gran, the whole thing's a joke man. "Don't take life so seriously. No one gets out alive."
  19. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BEZEL-INSERT-OMEGA-SEAMASTER-PLANET-OCEAN-42-BLACK-/160638903982?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2566d326ae There is some aftermarket bezel that anyone can comment on whether good or not.
  20. How does Obama resist pushing the button when you read something like that? http://www.theonion....sting-ur,20364/
  21. Yay! Now I am happy (feet) again! Are there usually mysterious posts that exactly define specific vendors like this that are clearly FAKE being posted and left up? If so... bully to the enterprising kids doing it!
  22. America, the biggest reason you're not saying it like this, "Unser Wasser ist sauberer!"
  23. GDP per capita? That's easy when your country's entire population is half of that of N.Y. city. http://www.google.co...rld&hl=en&dl=en It's awesome all the stuff they were doing a few hundred years ago. I wonder why with THAT much of a head start they allowed us to invent the first suspension bridge, refrigerator, flatboat, lock stitch sewing machine, combine harvester, steam shovel, electrical relay, circuit breaker, Howe truss, milling machine, profile lathe, multiple coil magnet, anesthesia, rotary printing press, adhesive tape, printing telegraph, baseball, pin tumbler lock, jackhammer, safety pin, dishwasher.... etc. etc. etc. all before 1850. When we were getting scalped by Red Skins, Norway didn't come here and save our butts. When they were being scalped by NAZI's, well... you're welcome. Anyone ever wonder, while they are waiting for the "demise of America", if China will extend Europe and the rest of the world the same courtesies they have enjoyed, come to expect, taken for granted; and forgotten? Ask Tibet once, they might know.
