  1. The person that gave out his PP addy to 3 people....that's messed up...that means if he gets paid 3 x, he intends to refund 2 (assuming his honest). Sort of a stupid way of doing it....
  2. @D: thanks bro...I've sold everything off...I figure I deserve 1 super duper watch...I just got these 2 and my Skyland. I have a feeling the 188 will get all the wrist time...so the 250 may have to go.. @T: I remember yours....it was the deal of a lifetime...fully modded 188...it looks amazing from bruce79's pictorial...
  3. Hi prof, I bought it to try something different...the 7753 196 is essentially the same as my 188 but with a different dial/handset/dw color. I got it for its future potential...and no I wouldn't be building a 196 with it due to the brushed bezel...I would use it to build a 7753 PAM 250. In the meanwhile, I have a different daylight to enjoy until I get to the point of building it into a 7753.
  4. Thx Laz...I've been wearing the 188 today...and its a joy to look down at the un-recessed date...
  5. Thanks Cap! Now I got to save up for the 196...
  6. So I began my research on the 7753 PAMs here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=79247 My 7753 188 has finally arrived. My QC issue is this. At the date pusher, the pusher is not flush with the case, its leaning towards one side. And if you look really closely in person, the actual pusher itself has a slight 'ding' in it and actually bent a little. It works perfect though. Kinda cool these quickset dates. Besides that the watch runs beautifully...the only out of box rep chrono where when running the chrono, the minute subdial hand actually changes when the long seconds chrono hand hits '12' I've included a pic alongside my A7750, 2006 PAM 250 to show that the location of the pushers are the same....If you read my other thread, I suspect that these cases are from the same 'factory' and my 250 can accept the ETA 7753 mvmt. Out of box its great...has the correct color hands (some old dealer pics show silver hands not black), thick crown, and single sided purplish AR, which I tried to capture in a pic. QC ISSUE?? SINGLE SIDED AR LOOK MA...NO RECESSED DW NEXT TO THE A7750 PAM 250 with similar case
  7. Ok, So my PAM love is the 7753 188 & 196. TT, Mickey, & Stephane have gorgeous ones...and unfortunately I didn't have the funds to pick up Mickey's...well worth it...but a man's got to eat... In the meanwhile, I picked up an ETA 7753 PAM 188 from a contact outside of the forums...Our dealers have told me they're out of stock...One dealer in particular said he had them, but my incessant questions I think drove him mad, and the next email he told me he was out of stock. So my plan was to buy the 7753 188 & 196....but after the 188 order I was tapped out. I was a little bummed, because I lean towards the 196 over the 188...but I forum friend that has one, and he'll let it go to me if he ever sells it...since I didn't know anyone willing to let their 188 go in the future, I went with that. Plus, I knew I'd spend less...probably won't get relume (I would of on the 196) and it comes with single sided AR which is good enough for me on a white dial. So here's a pic of the actual watch I'll be getting tomorrow. Anyways...I've read the threads about old case vs. new case & really the biggest distinction is in the higher bezel... But more importantly, I really want to know which cases can fit an ETA 7753, and to me I always thought it was the date pusher placement. So randomly I came across an A7750 PAM 250... Anyways it arrived today and it looks good. Has a thick crown reminiscent of Ruby's 036 & Angus 111E. It has single sided AR which makes the dial easy to read & the datefont is quite BOLD...different from some A7750 daylights that have thin/light datefont. MINE: But the interesting thing is the date pusher button is in the correct place for an ETA 7753. Now I've only seen A7750 Daylights with the pusher button in the wrong place. My feeling is there must be different 'factories' building the daylight. The thick crown/correct date pusher, I think comes from the same place that makes the 7753 version, thus it makes it hopeful that I can use this case for a future 7753 project. Below are some pics from a dealer's site. I know in all these pics the bezel is polished and should be brushed, but I don't think there is relevance in that for this discussion. I think where the 7753 is coming from is the same source that is building the 2006 version...its only a hunch of course. But they use the same dial with thick crown/correct datepusher location First pic is of a stock 7753 PAM 250 Second & third pic is what the dealer calls, 2006 version. 4th & 5th pic is what the dealer calls New Asia PAM 250: So what's the point of this? These are some superficial observations I've made, and I like some daylight experts that have been collecting for a while to maybe chime in with some wisdom. Bottom line is I wonder if my 250 can be fitted with 7753 mvmt in the future...I suppose I need to look inside and check out the pushers/mvmt holders/etc...
  8. G, You've always been one of the good guys bro! Your dedication to to RWI was unparalleled and you've always been there for the members... Take a step back....let this crap blow over...and get back on the saddle when your ready... We'll be here...
  9. Does anyone know if this particular mvmt is sold out or out of production? Its the 'engraved' versus 'pressed' E-series, dagger regulator swan neck mvmt... What would be a fair price to ask for it? -superlume hands/dial -NO recess pin -sapphire xtal -AR
  10. hey UB..thank you for the gen comparison...i also pm'd ya..
  11. Left GZ on the July 27th & at my doorsteps today, July 30th. I want to thank my dealer of choice Angus for delivering a great product, super fast! He's ALWAYS come through for me & I appreciate his customer service. Ok, so I chose the grey dial because they repped this watch from a gen grey dial Sky...plus I've owned too many black/blue dials. CASEBACK & CLASP: SIDE: DIAL: OVERVIEW:
  12. yep...dial/hands have been superlumed...i've always loved it...i've owned it a couple times over the years but can't seem to hold onto it...i'll wear it for the next week everyday and see how i feel.
  13. ok...let me try it on with baggy trousers and see how i feel
  14. I've bought a lot of fiddys over the years...and i always get rid of them cuz i can't pull of the 47 mm...but then it draws me back in cuz its a beauty...<sigh> i'll prolly let this one go too...damn lugs hang over my wrist...but its so pretty...ahhhhhhhh
  15. i really can't wait until mine arrives!!
  16. that first wrist shot is nice...u can use it for upcoming wristchecks!
  17. this is the grey dial correct? thats the one i ordered on SS + extra brown leather.... the AR does look nice...
  18. LOL... quick... 1. build a light tent 2. use the macro setting (flower) on your camera 3. use picasa to crop & fine tune it 4. upload to photobucket
  19. You write a title like that...make me click on it... I DEMAND more eye candy!!!!!
  20. actually i realize why the spacing is off with the subdials...the numbers are placed too close to the lume dots compared to a gen dial thus throwing it off a bit... at least thats what I think?
