Nearly halfway there!
I'll have one - any chance of a space dweller?
No, just the 1016 sorry bud

Hey all,
Ever since the original run sold, I’ve received a bunch of inquires on whether a second batch of 1016 explorer dials would be created. While I didn’t plan on making any more dials, I will be making one last batch of 1016 explorer dials exclusively (sorry, no other models will be made) if the demand is high enough. I would be making 30 total dials, but would need 20 dials accounted for to start printing. The original design has been tweaked so the text/details will be thinner than the original run (which was a bit too thick). The 1016 design that will be printed was hand traced from a genuine dial, and then further edited and refined in a vector program to get optimal printing results once the cliche is made. As before, dials will come unlumed, so you can apply glowing or non-glowing lume.If anyone is interested in a 1016 dial, kindly start a list below and add your username. Once the list/orders are filled, I estimate that the dials will be finished/in transit in 60-90 days. Dials will each be $179. First 5 members to sign up will receive a $10 discount.Previous dial version can be seen below. As mentioned earlier, it will be the same 1016 variant, but with thinner printingTo clarify, this is not a sales post, just want to gauge interest!Special thanks to bangalter for getting this rollingUpdate: And the most prestigious gold star for tomhorn -
I'd sure think so! I'll pm you his email

Also, I'd recommend dbane for case aging over Phong. Dbane's case aging yields a more dynamic/believable result (I've had 2 cases aged myself).

I know that he does some vintage panerai-type cases, but I was referring to his ability to engrave. He has the ability to do both rotary and pantograph engravings. So if you can supply a case back, I'm sure he can help out. I'm currently getting some custom end links fabricated by him, the guy is a legend
-
FYI guys, I gave the custom vector 5514 case back design to Neckyzips, so I believe he can do the same engraving for cheaper
-
Love how that wasn't censored in the quote
-
These were on the gen 1665 SRSD Proto's
-
What'd you use for the aging? Water colors? Shoe polish?
-
Can anyone recommend a person who has experience with fine anodizing work?
I'm aiming to get the triangle on my 6538 insert dyed red, which requires a bit more finesse/fine tuning then most of the anodizing services I've seen offered.

Wow what a beauty! Second pic is my favorite - great framing

Wow, what a total badass this guy is! King frog, don't forgot your sunglasses and this when you leave:

Wow - Excellent job JMB!
I have a 5513 inner caseback design if you need one, just shoot me a pm
-
It has a steel crystal retention ring yep. Not sure how deep in mm the rehaut is though
-
No harm no foul S! As for the case overpaying: you win some you lose some :0
-
No worries S. RWG is definitely the forum to ask all vintage Rolex-related questions

"wow, that's beautiful."...."the movement is platinum gold". Wow, this GUY is gold

This is actually pretty funny
Helenarou goes by MK. I have designed several of his dials (6538, 6200). If you want to re-read my email, I never said that it was an exact copy of the gen 5513 case. I said "he purchased a gen 5513 case when producing his cases". I designed several of his dials for him in preparation for his case production, this is how I know. I purchased this case a while ago and paid almost $400 including shipping.. If he sells them on eBay for less than that, then clearly I got a bad deal.
