  1. From what I've read the ETA movements (and the SW200) will not drop in place of a 2813. Maybe worth going for the Asian 2836 version for a more robust movement?
  2. I think this is a great example of making one small change (the pearl) and no one could ever tell when it's on your wrist. No way anybody will see that the crystal is too tall.
  3. Wow. Wasn't planning on adding a Seadweller to my collection, but now I just might.
  4. While the 2824 may work, the stem height is different than the 2836/2846 and is not your best bet for the Josh 5512 case. For a 28,800 bph movement, go for the 2836. For 21.6k, go for the 2846. Dial feet positions are the same for the movements and the 2824 and they will have the correct stem height for the Josh case. The rest look fine. Yuki's dial are a nice, and I have a blue Yuki 9401 (no-date) dial I'm about to sell since I picked up a gen 9401 service dial. However, if you want a decent dial this seller has some snowflake dials for sale. Jmb used one in a build and seemed pleased with the results.
  5. I would be interested in this solution as well. The Asian 3135 is too expensive as you can't buy it without buying a whole watch, plus it does not seem to be terribly well built. The biggest problem though is likely that the stems are not like any other and impossible to source from anywhere else.
  6. Just to share some more experiences in this thread: my Josh 5512 is less than two months old and I recently tried to fit an Ofrei T19 to it. I cracked the crystal trying to get the retaining ring on it. I just received my Clark T19 today and the retaining ring fits like a glove. Going to try to finish my Tudor 9401 build this one. Anyone know if the Yuki 9401 caseback will fit the josh case, and if so, is it any good?
  7. I intend to take mine to my local watch shop soon (probably after I finish my PO build or my Tudor sub build). I'm taking in a replacement seconds hands (the red tip is now faded orange) and expect to pay less than $150 for a full service and seconds hand replacement. Bracelet polish - I'll have to ask about.
  8. From what I understand Omega's service may leave something to be desired in speed, quality, and pricing. Take this with a grain of salt as I have no personal experience with their service directly, but when I get my Bond serviced soon it'll be going to a local watchmaker. Search locally for someone you can visit in person. Support your local watchmaker!
  9. Does anyone know where to buy hands for the A7750? It is my understanding that the subdial and second hands are different sizes from the ETA/Valjoux 7750. I have been unable to locate anyone who sells different hands for the A7750 movements, which has kept me from buying a loose A7750 for a project.
  10. Do you mind sharing which dealer this came from?
  11. Wow, thanks cougar1. I actually got my dial from him on Ebay. I am going to message him about that stainless bezel. I would actually prefer that to the blue or black. Will Mary's SMP fit a gen bezel?
  12. Pardon the ignorance, but which dealer is Mary? Do you have any pictures to share of your timepiece? Thanks!
  13. Hey guys, looking for a good full-size Seamaster Pro non-chrono rep with a black bezel that will fit a genuine dial and genuine ETA 2892-A2. Does such a thing exist?
  14. Very, very nice. Any suggestions on case? I don't know much about the A7750 but will a Valjoux 7750 fit without mods? How about the crown? Thanks for the help.
  15. Hey guys, just joined recently and am going to get started on my first watch pretty soon. I've got a couple of old ETA movements on the way that I plan to put to work in Tudor subs - probably a 9401 to start, followed by a 9411. Anyway, I would really like to have a Tudor Prince Date Chrono (pre-Tiger) and have tried to dig around and find some info on the best place to start. I've seen a few original dials on Ebay but they seem a bit pricey (around $300 USD) and I'd want to use a genuine ETA/Valjoux 7750 movement. So I guess I am asking what would be a good starting point for a case? I've seen a couple of Daytona reps but none have the proper Tudor Chrono bezel (at least that I've seen). Is there a case that will allow a drop-in 7750 + genuine dial? What about the proper crystal, as the Daytona doesn't have a date mag? Thanks for the help. I am a Tudor fanatic and would appreciate the info!
