  1. Welcome from Australia. You have found the most knowledgeable & entertaining forum in the universe (watches or otherwise) If you can't find what you're looking for on here - it can't be found.
  2. This thread reads like the Aussies are taking over oi oi oi
  3. Hey Boys & Girls, hope all is well. This is my latest acquisition This is what 35 bucks bought at Silix last month. I wasn't expecting too much, but was pleasantly surprised. Ordered it on a Friday, got the QC pics a couple of days later. Gave the OK, & had it in Sydney Aus. just over a week later. And we had a public holiday here. Pretty impressed with the whole process.
  4. Sorry guys, still learning the ropes. Wristshot soon!
  5. You guys are a dead set riot.....another reason I like it here so much!
  6. Ha, good advice that I'll be sure to follow. Thanks.
  7. Well I've finally done it. After weeks of trawling this site, & as many TD sites as I could, & gathering as much info as I could. I managed to prise the credit card from the bride's iron grip (much to her chagrin about giving out cc details to a Chinese counterfeit dealer), and purchased a Tag Link Jap Quartz with working chrono, from Andrew - "just to test the water" - so to speak. And I have to say it was a smooth transaction. I explained to Andrew that this was my first rep, & he walked me through the process via e-mail. I placed my order mid-morning on a Wednesday my time. And I received my order before lunchtime the following Tuesday, in Sydney Australia. Needless to say I was reasonably impressed, as it can take longer for packages to travel from one state to another over here. Love the watch, it looks & feels the biz & three weeks down the track, all is well. It's keeping great time & I've only had positive comments about it. Ready to get serious now. Bride is at ease (sort of), in fact, I've even got her interested. Might give Andrew another go, or may try someone else. One thing for sure this is just the beginning. I'd just like to thank everyone at RWG for their help - albeit anonymously, through various reviews & forums. I found you guys by accident, & I'm sure glad I did, thanks.
  8. I am so sorry to hear about your little girl. My wife was diagnosed with JRA when she was 3 (she's 43 now & has Ankylosing Spondylitis). It is a cruel dibilitating disease, made all the more worse by the fact that there are no outwardly visible symptoms, so peope who are clueless think it's a put-on. As a father of 2 little girls myself, I know how helpless I feel when one of them skins a knee, or bumps their head. I can only imagine how you feel. My & my family's thoughts are with you & your family. Take care.
  9. Sensational work Rolexman! You are a true craftsman & should be justifiably pleased with yourself. Well done.
  10. Hi folks. I'm brand new to this whole scene, so I've been checking out the whole of RWG. This place is sensational. I have so much to learn! I've been following this thread in particular. The whole process of chasing down the suppliers, but leaving the factories alone, smacks of the authorities just needing to be seen to be doing something to appease somebody. Just my humble opinion.
  11. Hi all, just joined up & am blown away by all the info on RWG. I'm not as hardcore as most of you seem to be, I just love watches, & would love to own the gen article, but simply cannot afford to. I promise not to ask stupid questions without searching first.
  12. Welcome to the forums simon05 :)
