  1. Hear, hear. Well done to all concerned. I remember reading a lttle while ago, that somebody shouldn't be judged by how many flawless transactions they make, but rather how they deal with problems when they arise. Honour indeed. But damn, that PAM is a beautiful piece. I must have one, just gotta get it past the missus
  2. Welcome joefer, you've come to the right place. Enjoy the ride.
  3. Welcome mate. Have a look around, & get to know place & the people. It, & they are awesome. Enjoy
  4. Don't sell yourself short dude. Looks good :-)
  5. Welcome one & all. If you can't find what you are looking for here, it probably doesn't exist. The guys on here between them, know pretty much all there is to know - or if they don't, they will know someone who does :-) Read, read & read some more, stick with the trusted dealers, & enjoy.
  6. Nice to see that you've been remembering to comb your arm hair ASCI
  7. +1 What Zeleni said These are not watch straps - they are works of art
  8. My friend you have lobbed onto what is undoubtedly one of, if not the friendliest, & most knowledgable watch forums on the planet. As a noob myself, I'm not qualified to answer any questions. But if you stick with the trusted dealers, & listen to the excellent advice that is freely available here, you can't go wrong. And as sgtguk said welome to the party
  9. Steering wheel attendant 1st class. (Okay, truck driver). Delivering fuel on metropolitan & short-haul country routes. Although, I haven't worked for just over 12 months. Which is how I stumbled upon you guys I had double spinal fusion surgery early last year, & it's been a long road back. All good now, though. I have full clearance to return to work next week Which is just as well, Because I have to fund my newfound hobby somehow Will have to see how the reconditioned back handles life back on the road.
  10. I feel for you my friend. 12 months ago I had double spinal fusion surgery, & haven't worked since. (That's how I discovered this place). I had a routine follow-up x-ray done this week, only to find out that one of the screws at S1 has snapped. The surgeon says that the bone graft is stable enough now, (although it is still not completely hardened) for it not be a significant problem. As long as I don't do anything to damage the graft. That screw must have been one of those junk parts that you mentioned
  11. So sorry to read about your devasting loss. I have lost both of my parents in recent years, but that is the natural progression. What has happened to your family isn't fair, parents aren't supposed to outlive their children. Deepest sympathies from my family to yours, my friend.
  12. Awesome! Love it. Thinking seriously about Noob's 360 with vintage Asso strap.
  13. Nothing left to add. Heed what is excellent advice from knowledgable people my friend, & you will succeed. Not only here, but in life, also. Welcome to one of - if not THE friendliest & most knowledgable watch forums on the planet. Enjoy.
  14. Well done my friend. I will wager that it won't be your last. Does it matter what your girlfriend's opinion is? As a well respected gentleman on here once said "girls may come & go, but a good rep is hard to find". Welcome & enjoy.
  15. Well done, & thank you Offshore. This will undoubtedly bring lots of invaluable educational information to the fore, & hopefully enable novices like myself to attempt things that have been a bit too daunting, previously. BTW, I ordered one of your new bracelet & strap kits recently, & it's excellent. Thank you for a great kit, & excellent speedy service. If this competition is as successful as anticipated, I'll no doubt be adding to my new tools in the not to distant future
  16. Whatever happened to 'Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?'
  17. Thank you Francisco, I don't yet have the experience or confidence to attempt repairs. But posts like these are very informative & educational. Well done.
  18. Sorry to read about your dad's stroke, but glad he's doing we'll. Thank you to him & all the men & women who serve, & have served in the armed forces. It is only because of their selflessness that we are free to do what we take for granted today. Lest We Forget. My dad had a history of mild heart attacks & strokes over the years, before he was taken from us in 2008, aged 79. I miss him terribly. Wishing him a speedy recovery, & best wishes to him, & your family.
