  1. Thanks for the answer freddy333, i'll try to fix it later today. Have a nice one!
  2. Hi there all WIS I have a Rolex GMT II which I lately have experienced some problems with. First, the indice at 12 o'clock fell off. I had to open the caseback and glue the indice on again. Problem solved, I thought. When I put the caseback on again I noticed that the second hand was loose and basically "flew" around inside the watch. Then I opened it up again and tried to fix it, but it seems like I made more damage than I solved because now both the second hand AND the hour hand is loose. I have not made any approaches to local watchmakers because I feel like this is probably something I can fix on my own (especially if some of the great guys here point me in the right direction). What do I have to do? Do I have to take all the hands off the "stem" (is that the correct term?) and reconnect it? If so, how do I in the right way? Any help appreciated.
  3. I love the fact that the AP Shaq was produced in the Miami Heat colours, especially now that he has been traded to the Suns..
  4. I find the AP Safari and the Navy as two of the most beautiful APROO's out there now. Pure passion <3
  5. Not the best pic. Taken by my cell phone today.
  6. magagne, where can I find that type of clasp? Sure looks magnificent!
  7. Well, since I finally found some spare time in my schedule Monday night I thought I'd take the chance and pop open my rep GMT to fix the problem(s). THis was my very first time opening a watch so you can say that I was somewhat stressed about what might happen. But, I thought what the hell, I have nothing to lose. I tried to take some photos, and they ended up looking like [censored], but I can add some anyways. THe conclusion is that I fixed the problem, so i'm quite satisfied right now
  8. I really liked that picture, freddy!
  9. longshot, that's the same video I was thinking about when I read the beginning of this thread. It's a video-clip of Kanye West & John Mayer recording a song called "Bittersweet". Here's the link:
  10. No, it's supposed to be an ETA swiss movement. purchased the watch from a well-known collector about 6 months ago. I have no experience what-so-ever with fixing watches, but if I were to do this job myself, what would it take? 1. Remove the back 2. Screw the crown out 3. Remove the movement and dial 4. Remove the hands 5. Glue on the 12-marker 6. Put the 2nd hand on the pinion. Was that reasonable?
  11. Help! Spent the last weekend in London partying with my friends. Apparently, London-clubbing wasn't very rep-friendly. After waking up saturday morning the dial marker at 12 had fell off, and the second hand seems loose. It doesn't sweep anymore, just stands still. Here's some pictures: Does anyone have any tips regarding what i should do to fix this problem?
  12. I love the bracelet on the SMP too. In fact, like you previously said, it was indeed one of the main reasons of why I bought it. However, i like the look with the nato very much. The watch changes it's appearence in a sweet way.
  13. Just received this NATO - strap from a seller on eBay. Here's the pic. What do you guys think?
  14. Haha. I know, it would only take a true WIS to do something like that. The problem now is wheter to buy the black dial SOSF or the white one. I love how the AR on the black one makes the dial disappear (the black gen is fantastic), but the white dial complements my current collection more. It fills a _missing_ hole.
  15. Only thing i know about the fish symbol, is that in my IWC 2007 book which i received from the net, the fish symbol stands for waterproof. May not be any help for you or any other on this forum, but it's atleast my .02 cents.
  16. I've bought a black Breitling rubber strap for this watch. But, problem is, i haven't ordered the watch yet though...
  17. I voted the PO too. On steel bracelet, that is. Good luck with the new job!
  18. Are you interested in selling that steel bracelet of yours?
