  1. I was wondering the same myself. I doubt anyone can tell you (or me) if it's worth the extra but they could highlight the differences.
  2. PC is there for me. PT has been down for over a week. There's a thread on RG about it: crashed hard disk, old back up etc etc - looks like he's struggling to get his site back.
  3. The difficulty with a partial refund, though, is agreeing the amount between the two parties. How much is a scratch or two worth? It is completely subjective. For some people a scratch anywhere would ruin a watch, other wouldn't worry too much if it can't be seen. It's not clear from the OP whether the seller offered to cover return shipping costs but that would at least be a clean solution - buyer has his money back, seller has his watch back.
  4. Either live with the watch as-is or take the refund.
  5. Now this is confusing me - I've seen that strap above referred to as 'burgundy' before but it doesn't look burgundy to me. I have another strap (not for the Fiddy) that was sold to me as 'burgundy' and it's a darker brown with a reddish tint (as I would expect). I would call that one something like 'camel' or 'tan'. Having said that the naming of colours is lost on me - I once had a car in 'midnight silver' but it was blue to me.
  6. A lot of the gen pictures I see have this strap. Any idea what the Panerai description of this strap is? And does anyone do a good rep of it?
  7. Is the 'standard yellow/tan rep strap' a copy (prob not a very good one) of the gen strap? And I have no issue at all with pics that have been previously seen. In fact it was pics of yours (from didymo?) that promted me to post although the thought has been smouldering for a while. Personally I love the ostrich but I'm just not sure about the black - would be interested in something similar but maybe in a tobacco brown. Having said that I've got a nice Heroic18 black strap doing nothing so maybe I could give that a run out.
  8. I've had a Fiddy rep for some time and have kept it on the strap I bought it with. It's a nice enough strap and I don't want to get rid of it but it would be nice to have options. So what straps suit the watch? Also, I was wondering what strap the original came on. Or was there a choice? So, any info on the OEM PAM strap for the 127 or show me yours. To kick things off here's mine.....
  9. WI have one. Subdial hands look a bit clumsy but I wouldn't go as far as "pretty bad" (but I'm open to more expert critique)
  10. I think they have. Maybe I was dreaming it? (I have eaten an awful lot of cheese over Xmas/NY)
  11. I have a blue V2 non-chrono. I'm beginning to feel the need for a 'Panda' watch in my collection and wonder if the white one of these might be the one. I know we all strive for something as "close to gen" as possible but with this being a limited edition back in the real world, I guess it matters less than for other watches as very few people will know the gen anyway. Not that I know there are flaws with this one, just that if there are, it's not a tragedy.
  12. If this has been covered before, please just point me to the best or most recent thread about them. As I understand it these have been repped, but I don't hear much about them. What do the Breitling experts on here think about them? good quality rep? any known issues? different makers/versions? I know the rep mesh isn't great and would get this on OR rubber if I plump for one. Has anyone got one and got any pics of it that might push me over the edge?
  13. The Quincy Jones one is unpleasant. The Maserati one is down-right nasty.
  14. PM inbound (although I'm not sure it's that 'sensitive')
  15. ^this. There's a part of me that hopes someone buys it for <$500, thinks they've got the deal of the century and never has their bubble burst. (but then.... back in the real world.... )
  16. As wel as quality, think about the size and what suits you. I have had the 42mm one and it was a lovely watch but every time I wore it I thought "I wish it was just that bit bigger". Other people would wear the 45mm and wish it was just that bit smaller. If you're not comfortable with the watch on your wrist, things like the exact placing of the He valve are not going to matter.
  17. And if you get a 45mm PO, we'll all think it's a rep anyway.....
  18. a TD on here? Even if you hack the extra steelwork out, it will still be the wrong colour.
  19. . Then buy the 300. It's all a matter of personal taste. If the 300 is the one that fogs your mask, get the 300. Or buy the PO and think "shoulda bought the 300" every time you wear it?
