  1. Hey RWG, I was curious whether you guys liked this watch as much as I do?! I saw it, saw the $20 off coupon, and had to have it. I saw Watcheden was a TD on a friendship forum that deals with reps as well. I was wondering what you guys thought of this watch from the pictures they post? I'm sure they'll send QC pictures soon I'm hoping, unless they aren't that type of company since they seem to be more about price and so forth, so maybe its not at as much of a personal level? Just curious if you could post the short comings of this exact model? I saw it was 21J, and was fairly priced, and I was reading that every rep owner NEEDS to have an Omega in their collection. Also, I did purchase this Milgauss as well, wondering if anyone could include some details on whether this watch is good? I was worried about the size (39MM) and I'm hoping its not too small on my wrists. As for that one, it's a 21J as well, so I'm only assuming both watches run at 21.6k BPH, when I was really hoping it would run at 28k. thanks a ton! Hopefully my first purchases were good! Mike
  2. Thank you for the suggestion "whoever" but that is a little too silvery for me rrari1, that is an amazing piece. I love how it offers the antique look, and I've always liked the second that sweeped nicely at the bottom. I think that's on my buy list. I am awaiting to hear from the person that's selling this: http://www.watcheden.net/a-lange-sohne-langematic-perpetual-manual-winding-with-gray-dial-leather-strap-i-79597-p-1.html I asked if all the functions were working. Including the moon phase. If thats the situation, I am defnitely buying this one. Considering it's only $98 with free shipping after you use an advertised $20 off coupon! Which also means for the cost of one of these normally from other TD, I can now get a cheap Rolex or something from them.
  3. Thanks for that suggestion ByTor, I don't have that kind of $$ at the moment, so I'm stuck around the 100-150 range. 180 tops. Any suggestions other than that Breguet? I really like that, but I just can't afford the almost $400 I'm highly considering an Omega Seamaster/Speedmaster. I've even considered getting a watch from watcheden and getting the clearance ones that are like 90, and getting like two 90 dollar ones to fiddle with.
  4. Thank you all for the wonderful feedback. I think I have been reading up that Lange and Sohne is like one of the companies that show true craftsmenship because reps are so far between the gens. I think I might take an alternative route. Is there any suggestions you guys can make to me instead of A Lange and Sohne? I've been looking at Breguet, and AP because I want something that looks sleek and will catch the eye with parts of the movements showing, but nothing too faux. I just don't want an Omega just yet because they don't show the intricacies from the front. For my first purchase I wouldn't mind getting a rep that looks damn near close to the gen, so Breitling/Omega might be the right track. Thanks for all the help you guys, one of the best communities
  5. Looking for A. Lange & Sohne rep

  6. That sucks, I've never had that happen to me. I've always been pretty good about making sure my card/info is on lock.
  7. Hey RWG, Before you guys go balls to the wall crazy for posting in general about asking for help with rep watches, hear me out. I've searched, and looked through all the threads, 2 pages worth. I am having trouble finding a rep A. Lange & Sohne watch review. Nor can I find out what TD has the best quality rep for A. Lange & Sohne. I've been looking for two days and I have found nothing. Can anyone lead me in the right direction? I've been looking at Josh and I'm having trouble navigating his site, because I think some of the models are mismatched or something. I have been fascinated with this watch brand and it's one of my favorite brands if not my favorite. I really want to wear a rep Lange & Sohne in good health, but I can't if I can't find any contacts that have great reps. I talked with Josh and he said the movement was by Sea-Gull, which I know is reliable, but I just worry it's not any good because I can't find any reviews. And I really don't want to buy an Omega just yet. I'm highly considering a VC/AP though. Please help, and don't flame me, I'm just an honest patron trying to find my way around the forums. A lot of stuff is out of date information, and a lot of links just return me to error pages. Thank you so much RWG, if this thread needs to be moved, please do so. I am forever grateful for whatever help is offered. I want A. Lange and Sohne to be my first rep purchase EVER! I was looking for this model in particular: http://www.1-pc8838.com/al01010-datograph-perpetual-calenderbig-date-ssle-white-asia-p-9531.html B3ard

    PLOPROF v2

I'm seeing these pop up more often, maybe they're trending? I don't think I have the balls to pull off a watch with that gnarly crown guard
  9. This project is awesome! It looks beautiful! You are making me want to get into modding. I want to start purchasing tools, etc, and get my first rep to make look more gen! Awesome thread!! B3ard
  10. I just want to make note that this is thread is the reason I joined this forum, and I have never had ANY interest in perfectwatzhezco, I'd say it's a scam site. Half the time they are!
  11. [censored] man, that really sucks. I'm terribly sorry to hear about your wife, may she get well in her healing stages. My father had to go through chemo and radiation as well. He had something like lymphoma in the neck or something like that. It killed the bone in his jaw or something like that, and had to have surgery to have bone taken from his femur or something to fix his jaw. I'll won't keep going on with my fathers story because I'm sure that you guys have all heard it before, but I'm just saying I'm sorry to hear about your situation, and I've been in your position. The best you can do is to keep her close and be with her every step of the way. I'm sorry you have to let go of the collection, but it's just one of those situations. We'll always be here, go help dwindle away at the billing cycles! That's a great collection too! I wouldn't mind picking a few of them up at the right price, I'll keep an eye for you in the selling section. B3ard
  12. Ugh.. Michael Kors. That's all I can think when I see those watches come through my store
  13. Grats on the 1003rd post now I can't wait to get to your status at some point!
  14. That thing looks awesome. Is that the new Gen you bought from your local AD? I can't wait to get into modding my watches once I make my first purchases. B3ard
  15. I literally joined like 2 days ago haha, and I am already loving this place and already feel at home. Everyone is really nice and welcoming, I'm sure you'll warm up real fast around all the locals here! Welcome to the forum, and can't wait to see a post about your new watches you purchase from the awesome TD's around these parts! Enjoy your stay! B3ard
  16. That's a good idea jcrob, slow and steady wins the race. I just really want to jump in head first, I wanna make my mark on the community so people know me and befriend me! I can't wait
  17. For some reason, I never really liked the protruding metal on the sides, aside from the crown of course lol. But that's just my opinion. The watches look great tho!

    my PAMs

Looks great when you have them all wrapped around the wall clock! Great post, That is a nice collection, rep. right? That'd be a gnarly investment if all were gen. !
  19. That was amazing, you get a like for that post. Such an old piece brought back to life in such a beautiful manner. Great timepiece!
  20. Idk, it must be the heavy cuts they are taking, but I usually have a great experience with USPS. The carriers in our town are genuinely happy, and will drop the packages off to my door and before I even wake up. I for the most part enjoy using USPS. If it fits it ships, etc. I agree though, corporatism is starting to invade USPS. The private sector is so iffy half the time, it's always for the good of the company before it is the good of the customers. Hence the government privatizing jails, etc. When you sacrifice customer service for efficiency, that's when you're going to notice some drastic changes. So far I haven't seen those changes though. I went a little off topic, but tl;dr USPS isn't any different for me it seems
  21. Thanks Xel! I've had the watch bug for the past 2 years, I always had a fascination for watches, but it didn't hit me until just recently when I was able to somewhat afford lower-end inhouse movement watches. My most expensive watch is a citizen Thanksf or the greetings again, you guys are all awesome! PS: I Am trading/selling the Citizen (Citizen: Eco-Drive; BL1230) to anyone who is trusty, and is interested. I want to become a member to post in the trading forum, but I guess PP is blocking payments to RWG. So I can't become a supporting member I have pics tho btw! If this is incorrect of me, I'll take out the PS
  22. Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone! I'm a male hah. But I do have a red headed gf! I don't know if it matters but I'm Irish/German! You guys are all awesome, I read up some TD's and I'm already interested in working with Josh
  23. Posting, I completed it. Hopefully i helped a little
  24. Hello RWGers I'm the new B3ard, cause I'm a red head with a beard, with a fascination for horology! AND the timepieces of course! I just thought I'd let myself be known, because I think I'll be becoming an active member at a fast pace here Thanks for reading, and hopefully I can find some great reps/gens, and great dealers to make that connection with. I'm addicted to watches! B3ard
