Dear All, As non US residents might not know, New York won the Superbowl (the American Footbal game). As far as I understand winning the SuperBowl equals to win the Footbal Worl Cup or say at least the Champions League. There was a huge parade today in Manhattan. One of the best time to visit the Big Apple and see the inhabitants happy and worried in the same time. Today is Super Tuesday, New York citizens and the entire world will probably know who is going to be eligible as next President of the United States. So, my wife and I thought we should have a little tribute to this great country and to this wondefull and exiting city. It's my second stay here, but for sure not the last A watch at Rockfeller center. Cheers Stephane

Selling watches on RWG has been difficult lately. The main reason is probably that money earned by a member shouldn't be taken by another individual without giving the exact expected counterpart. If I want to sell a watch with a broken movement, fine, but then I MUST say that the movement is broken (and not blame the mail by the way!). We all must try to resolve our issues off RWG first but if an issue can't be solved in a friendly manner, then I would hope that the seller is called out here. Without this, no one will be able to sell watches anymore and that is very bad for the hobby because it's really part of it to part watches and get other ones in. Cheers Stephane

We did not really trade or deal toghether a lot but I had the opportunity to know you a bit better with the Brussels event organisation. Hey all, I'm a lucky man and spend the week in New York City. Of course, I immediately went to Ground Zero (my god they are missing) and on the way back thru Canal Street got proposals for Rolex! So, as I do not want to end in jail, I brought my two gen Rolex with me? What better for the first day but a "home time" one... Cheers Stephane

I think what Freddy says is 100% correct. Great White should be FLAT T39. I would add that there are NO fixed rules though. Rolex and watchmakers are probably using stock parts. What they have handy, they will put. So, a Great White with a super dome might happen too, if a watchmaker had to replace a crystal and only had a super dome.. Same possible stories with date wheels too, case backs, ...

Regarding 1665 only... What I said is what I heard from a member here @ RWG. Flat is correct for a Great White. The member who is advicing me has 100 times more knowledge than me about vintage Rolies (and watches in general probably). Please look at my signature and follow the Trilogy thread for more details. My Single red is having a genuine T39 Super Dome (costs a little fortune) The Double red is carrying a Clark Super Dome (good enough in my opinion and much cheaper than a genuine) The Great White, received a genuine T39 Flat (affordable and beautifull). The GW is my favourite as it is the only one that I could afford in real life after saving hard. The Red ones are just a dream... Cheers Stephane
