  1. Please do not assume or presume... We will all have our Nautilus. Do you mind posting pictures of your MBK ? Cheers Stephane
  2. Yes, it's definitely not a trustable Speedy (or seller) Nanuq. I'll pass on that one (well, I had no intention to put that kind of money anyway!) @ALL Thank you so much for your time and advices. Cheers Stephane
  3. POTR, I thought of that aswell.... It's hard to make a decision on other people's honesty indeed...
  4. Thanks a lot for your advices here guys. I'd love to have this type of Speedy. Now, I kept the info about the price hidden but it's 3.000 euros (not $) that he is looking for This sounds very expensive to me, even it was a completely original watch with numbers matching and in perfect state. What do you think ? Cheers Stephane
  5. While looking for a Speedy here is what I received Dear All, I might be interested in a gen Speedy and of course look for a Lemania. There are two "vintage" calibres the 321 (rare) and the 821 (common). So, I have this guy proposing to get one of the 321 and the Speedy that goes with it from 1967. Here is the mail I got I don
  6. Trying this one today and hoping it will not break down
  7. Thanks Merlin. That is what I thought indeed...a gap would be looking horrible.
  8. Black !!! Isn't black beautifull ? Cheers Stephane
  9. One quick question guys: did you choose to fit 22MM bracelets on your 3717 ? The rep croc is 21MM.
  10. Fantastic review TheMuck. Thank you very much. Cheers Stephane
  11. Exposure time indeed! The only way to check for the lume is real life !!! I never really got it why members are so exited about lume shots since I could make one myself at my first attempt. And, Photoshop can help even more
  12. Thanks Ziggy. Obviously a super loupe is needed in fact too see the scratches. The hands does not look ticker to me.
  13. I really like that strap...and can't wait to see K2222's AR
  14. wow, can't wait to see my rep to compare
  15. Hi Ziggy, Can you pease tell us if applying lume is making the hands "looking different" in daytime, say under a loupe ? I really fancy lume but I wouldn't want to have "ticker or weird hands". Cheers Stephane
  16. ooops, Guys, pls remember my mother language is french, not english I have never seen a Ziggy lumed watch and I am pretty sure Ziggy does great work. It's not my point at all I am not talking about experience here, only about an advice I received. That's it... Aparently hands with lume are noticeable...ticker I guess. The main point is, as Andrew said, the rep lume is maybe not that good but not that bad either.
  17. Very interresting topic once again Andrew. Recently I received a gen dial with rep hands. The lume of the hands is really poor compared to the hour indices. I said to myself "I should have all my rep hands lumed." I asked my favourite modder about it and he stated that luming hands is not a good idea. MM: "Do you look at you watch during the night?" Me:"no of course" MM: "Do you prefer great looking hands in daytime or strange looking hands in the daytime?" Me: "great looking hands in daytime" MM: "Don't lume the hands!" I'm not sure if this make sense but honestly I do not care that much about lume, more about close acurancy overall. If luming hands means "put a lot of luming material on the hands so that they finally look weird in daytime" it's not a great option. Cheers Stephane
  18. Lani, I would be delighted to offer some more $$$ to RWG of course. But, and I hate to say this, Gattor straps are not my cup of tea Sorry for this Cheers Stephane
  19. Bonsoir Monsieur Scoobs Wow, it seems we are having lots of options here. Thanks guys for sharing your thoughts. Untill now I tried to avoid the brown straps because I love the brown straps for watches (brown belts and brown shoes too). An Italian friend once told me something like this "come on Stephane, if you wear black shoes, nobody notice you" I never tried black straps untill a week ago. Fed up with these speedy bracelets issues that destroyed 4 different pin removal tools. I ordered a black leather strap for that speedy and discovered it was looking much better than on SS bracelet in fact. So, let's keep this rolling... The 3717 deserve some attention for sure
  20. @ Predfan. I have the same watch and love it. It's a truly amazing design. Very different from any other watch. But, after wearing it when it arrived, I noticed the crown was very "loose". So I don't wear it now because I'm not sure how I could fix that crown issue. Is there a way to put a better crown/tube in this watch ? Cheers Stephane
  21. Hi Raymond, Thanks for posting. Well this is exactly what I mean: your 3717 looks much better to me (less anoying) than mine on SS permantly. I'd rather get a "not cheap" strap instead of this very cheap rep leather one that came with it (croco patern). Do you mind to share how to contact Kurt ? I looked at some straps tonigth, and here are some I might consider. I mean such a beauty needs some other dresses, right? The one here under I would get a black, not a brown. Cheers Stephane
  22. What bracelet or strap did you try on your IWC 3717? Dear All, I'm a little bored with the steel bracelet and do not like the rep black leather strap one either. As mine is soon going to feature a K2222 AR coating and already got Eta wheels, I would love to see what you wear yours on. That's it. Cheers Stephane
  23. Wow, indeed. One need balls to perform this on a 3717. Congrats MkyMk Cheers Stephane
