  1. Thanks so much guys for your replies. I cannot comment how accurate it is but BKLM did a review of it and apparantly it's really close. I did not want this watch either so I didn't even check the gen. The mvt is the asian 21 J I think. It's not ETA for sure. Well, as I said you know. For that price, why not buy it and give the YM a chance And here we go: ze wristshot It feels big on the wrist by the way.
  2. @Ape: that is well said and summarise it all.
  3. Do you mind sharing you age with us ?
  4. Corgi, it seems that Victoria and you see each other often, right? I mean, you say, she is "your friend"...
  5. Patek Philippe Nautilus MBK Dear All, Here it is. The MBK Nautilus has arrived. About the deal Well it wasn't an easy time for TTK as you might know, nor for the buyers. I say it once again: TTK always delivers and honour his word. And here is the proof. Delivery Once he told me the watch was in stock again, it took not more than 10 days to be at my place. Should I review this watch? No. There are so fantastic reviews out there, why would I say the same. (Links at the bottom of this thread) I have only one thing to say though: I disagree with other owners about their love for it. This watch doesn't talk to me probably. I'm too Sea Dweller obsessed at the moment. Is it a quality watch? Well here I have to agree with every other owner: fantastic finish. This MBK blue dial is simply unbelievable. Everything from the CGs to the crown and bracelet, dial and hands is simply well done. Photo time Do I regret my purchase? Yes and no. Of course it's nice to hold such a nice watch in person. But, …as it arrived at the same moment as my two Noob Rolex…I wore it for a couple of hours only. My conclusion I'm happy that this incredible bad adventure that some of us shared with TTK is finishing well. Watch wise? Well I'm pretty sure I will not keep this one although it's probably the best copy I ever saw. That's all for now folks. Cheers Stephane Links to some great reviews and pictures. Ubi, yes Ubiquitous, original post. Eunomians review. Verbal Kint's thread Emuozz detailed review and research. Check it out, lots of information.
  6. I think that is what most "silent members did". Try to send signs saying "pls stop, this is RWG not your blog". Wait and see, was what happened in the beginning. Yup, in the beginning it was fresh air and everybody was having fun. Now, few months later, it's scrolling, scrolling, scrolling,...and finaly not reading, not replying, not contributing anymore (See Ubi/Ziggy...) Everybody is welcome to express them self of course. But what if I told you I am famous in my little country...that I know all the celebrities and would post daily news about what I do, who I meet, how my Dad teached me this and that...how Mom is fantastic. I think this all Internet thing became an addiction to Victoria. I feel sad for that. I do not remember who posted in this thread that there is a life outside RWG and the Internet, but God, that is obvious, isn't it. Some threads do not need "Oh Darling how sweet this is! It reminds me of my dinner in XXX with the delightful Mr XXX. He was wearing a Pam XXX on a Mario PXXX. Great looking person with great matching watch/strap". When you have scrolled for 3 pages and see a valuable information burried at the bottom...don't you think "I wish we could stick to the point?" When I see your Daytona on the Butcher Shot I'm thinking: "wow this place is worth a visit. I saw that Butcher shot again!". Well Imagine all your threads were hijacked. "It reminds me of Linda McCartney. She was so right about being a vegie". I would never have seen this great picture of the Butcher shot and your glorious Daytona because I would have read the eMail alert with that comment and press shift - delete.
  7. I think you hit the right place. Welcome aboard.
  8. Indeed and Kudos to you too. You seem to have balls
  9. She is not entertaining all of us, and certainly not the silent majority. Believe us, in private this has been discussed many times by many members. Should I leave too now ?
  10. The Rolex YachtMaster "Noob" unmodified Dear All, Here is the second watch I ordered from Narika. The Rolex YachtMaster from the Noob Factory. Again, this is not a review, but a pure pictorial of a watch I had never considered before. About the deal I am not a regular customer of Narika. This is the second watch I asked him to bring back for me. Yup, your guess is right : 60£/83€/124$ for this Noob right out of the box. Actually it's less than some genuine Rolex box set Delivery Same as the ExplorerII Since the watches were in EU, it took two business day to land on my desk. For Sub maniacs, this is a weird watch, isn't it? Yes. I am truly surprised that I like to wear it in fact. For that kind of price I would recommend to everyone to give it a chance. Photo time Side note: the dial color is closer to grey than yellowish…I have no idea if you see it yellowish but it is certainly not close to yellow. Do I regret my purchase? I never hold a genuine YM myself, but why not give you my feelings?! The bezel is fantastic in my opinion (smooth and splendidly finished), the cyclop is not too far right, the crown guards might be modified of course (again) … Ok the date is a bit bold, but come on, we know from valued members here that genuine Rolex have differences too. The watch is very heavy: solid links and end links on the bracelet which is very well finished too. My conclusion I will not say I will buy a genuine one (too many other models are sexier to me), but I like this watch. That is all for now folks. Cheers Stephane
  11. Posting is one thing. Turning RWG into a personal Blog is something else.
  12. Hi all, Just got the Lani Plier in and it works !!! I removed a blody pin from my Speedy Bracelet and that pin destroyed 3 other pin remover tools. Thanks Lani, Very usefull... Cheers Stephane
  13. @Elprimero & OffShore: thanks guys for the nice comments.
  14. I'm wearing my new Narika Noob YachtMaster this friday morning. I am very surprised that I like it I have nice comments from friends around since it came in, which surprise me too. I always thought "too blinky for me". Cheers Stephane
  15. Well, I recently answered a PM saying that at the end of the day it's more "are you happy with your purchase" than "how accurate it is". What I mean is that on this one, I would maybe shave the CG but the rest doesn't botter me. I think it's the same quality as the Noob Submariner...with some mods it could be very accurate. But I really bought it to get a nice ExplorerII "right out of the box" not to make it a super modded Rolex. @all, thanks for your feedback. Cheers Stephane
  16. Wow, I like this watch very much. Very funny look. Cheers Stephane
  17. I'm feeling so sorry that England is nowhere close to what they were in the sixties, when I was a kid. Football needs them back !
  18. Congrats Freddy. It's been 35 years I dream of holding one for a couple of minutes I am a true Beatles fan but...sold all my vinyls back in the mid 80ies (stupid me). Cheers Stephane
  19. You really have the butcher shot LP ???
  20. The Rolex Explorer II Black Dial "Noob" Dear All, We are all hunting for the best possible copy of these legendary watches. When it comes to Rolex it is really a full time job. We have our trusted dealers, our specialised dealers, our favourite modders… We are insane sometime. So, please bear in mind I'm into vintage watches in general and vintage Rolex particularly. I am in no way saying this is the best out of the box, the ultimate or whatever. I was simply willing to expand my "modern Rolex" collection. About the deal I am not a regular customer of Narika. I now that he travels a lot and I understand that when he is back in EU watches are available. So I asked for the Explorer II and the YachtMaster. When Narika came back down here I had to pay 60£ to get this watch. Yup, 60£/83€/124$. So please bear in mind we are looking at a NOOB factory watch which is cheap, very cheap! Delivery Once the watches were in his possession in EU, I got a PM saying it left. That was Monday. On Wednesday I got them at my place. Packing the watches I received an incredibly safe pack in which the watches were wrapped in a Jiffy and each watch was in a pouch, sealed in plastic from the factory, with bezel protection. No scratches whatsoever. Shipping costs and pmt fees Shipping costed me 6£ Pmts fees: they were included. So, how does it look Like this Am I happy or am I scammed? Come on, this is a beauty. The bezel is cool, the cyclop is not too far right, the crown guards can be modified … It looks fine now, but it could look much better with a little help from my friends! For this kind of money, it's a pleasure. My conclusion I didn't see an Explorer II for 18 months. I love it. Sincerely, I ordered this to complete my modern collection but I do like it so much that I could hunt a genuine one day. That is all for now folks. Cheers Stephane
  21. Wow, that is funny...I ordered this one but for another watch (in 20MM)... I love the pics Brep. Thank you very much for your time.
