  1. Yup. But I'm really confused about that. I didn't know it would fit asymmetric pushers. Or maybe they can be modified? Again, not an expert of course.
  2. Because this veryyyyyyy looong term member isn't really aware of what he owns anymore. For years he didn't really had the possibility to follow up on each and every piece they store in their safe. And, oh yes, I asked him ... He doesn't remember Maybe that is why I share it with the community
  3. My god, now I'm totally confused. This thing doesn't carry an A7750 at all. As it stopped I decide to check it No rotor... What do you think guys? Which movement is in there? And why is the case back stamped with 6265 ?
  4. So, it has been around 2 years I didn't see this dial in the flesh. I'm very happy with it and will keep it and use it. Is it gen, redialed, fake, ...I have no idea. All I can say is that I can see feet that were cut of it. That of course doesn't really mean anything. So, lads, every input is welcome Here it is.
  5. Haha, just read an article. Quite interesting : I can say that I bought it from Eric Clapton "Clapton bought this watch in the late 1990s. It was auctioned at Sotheby’s New York sale of June 5, 2003, where it broke the previous world record for a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona by selling for $505,000 (five times its pre-auction estimate). Its pre-auction estimate for May is 500,000 to 1,000,000 Swiss francs. I am personally quite confident it will break the one million Swiss franc mark." That said, with only 4 examples and the sky rocket prices, I doubt anyone would believe me ;-) And my hands are black!
  6. Charlie, that looks absolutely stunning. Can't wait to wear mine again. I'll play around with the parts later and take some more photos ;-)
  7. Indeed Ubi. We're quite an amazing community if you ask me :-)
  8. Wow,well, I knew my friend was quite a beautiful person but that is more than a great gesture for sure. I will have to think hard about his next Xmas gift ;-)
  9. Send me the watches Mike. I'll shoot some photos ... Or send them to By-Tor
  10. Dear All, I received this in the mail today. It's a gift from a long term member of our community. I will not disclose his name here but I'm very impressed by the gesture. And I must say for a non Cosmograph owner it's very nice to wear it. Now the thing is I wonder what this example is. It looks like one of my previous ones (6263 Panda) that came from DW. Can you guys help me to identify my new beauty? Cheers Stephane
  11. Alright. Let me have a shot first! (not a photo shot though)
  12. My god mate, that is really a very bad situation. Good to read from you by the way :-)
  13. Dear All, My Great White has been an ongoing project and here starts a new phase. After sourcing some very unusual rare parts, it's back in my watch box. Previously on RWG You can find the previous review Click here Here is a summary: - Original case was highly reworked by MM and smooth like a genuine would be 30 years after and the crown guards were shaved by the previous owner. But it turned out that the lugholes where to large. So this is a “new” MBW case (old school!) with nicely drilled lugholes for genuine spring bars. - A new case back generously offered by a great member of our community, Yellowmen, replaced the out of the box one which was beautifully aged by MM but correct for a Double Red, not a late 1665. So, the new correct case back pictured here has of course been aged by MM back then. - Movement has been changed for a low beat 2846, serviced completely with a new date wheel as Ubi’s date wheel overlay has been destroyed by the watchmaker in the process of changing the movement unfortunately. The current date wheel is very nice, but could be improved probably. - The dial has been changed too. I found a rail dial, sold as gen, but not expensive. There are some scratches on the dial, but that really make it like an old one, doesn’t it? Is it gen or from Vietnam? No idea but under the loupe it looks stunning. Here are some pictures taken today for you as a teasing! Will get back once it's finished. Thanks for looking, Cheers, Stephane
  14. WOW! What else can I say. That is a seriously wonderful looking time piece! Congrats.
  15. Hello all, I noticed that many of my pictorials were missing the photos. I fixed them all hopefully Please do not hesitate if you find errors ;-) They are here Cheers Stephane
  16. Thanks a lot. Interesting.
  17. Would be great to have a photo. Or, if anybody can tell me what to show I can open the Tissot again and take close ups :-)
