I did it with one of my older straps. Though I wouldnt do it again, because the strap smells like bleach (chlor) and shrunk about 3mm in lugsize. (even though I did NOT blow-dry it) also, I couldnt wash all the color out of the strap so I now fear, that if I ever sweat with that watch on my wrist or walk through the rain or whatsoever, my sleve will end up having a brownish color!
