  1. Guys, as you may know one of the Panerai-centric forums (Paneristi) is having a HUGE get-to-gether this Saturday, August 18, 2007, in Carlsbad, California. This is being called the Hammer GTG, in honour of a wonderful member who was left handicapped after a sporting accident.

Well, if you read Risti, you know the excitement over there is at near-fever pitch! This is all they've been talking of for months.

You can read more about it here:

    hxxp://hammergtg.blogspot.com/ (alter the url)

Soooo. Anyone here going? Talk about Big Balls!

May just require small balls and a big gen :)

  2. I hate to admit it, but I think Soccer is growing in the states.

A certain someone I know bought the team in Kansas City Missouri....

Soccer will definitely take off in the US. Too much money behind it. Most popular sport in the world, and the money to be made with US leagues is tremendous. What is truly ironic is that soccer is among the most popular sports for youth in the US who go to summer camp--and grade school. But for whatever reason, it never seemed to go beyond high school interest. No question it will be big. Bringing B to the US was a genius move IMO.

Add to the equation the number of South American immigrants in the US; football is very popular in Mexico & Latin America.

  3. Holy crepe! Maybe -- well, I wouldn't say hottie. I'm "okay".

By the way, I'm a frosty British type when first you meet me. A bit like Grace Kelly -- cool, but just so that you know, there's a raging volcano of love inside.

    *g*

Actually! I've always liked older men because early on, I noticed they can appreciate a woman for her qualities not her body or looks only.

I guess by the time you get to your 60s/70s, you know what's what in life, and you know the bimbettes without brains and little foundation mean squat, unless you're a gajillioner like that chap Marshall who married the late Anna Nicole. ;)

Those bimbettes do tend to squat quite a bit more, no doubt. Agreed.

  4. So it's the chapter ring lume and the end link serials then, allways good to know what to look out for on ebay scam auctions.

Richard, I believe (and may be wrong) that the gen ONLY has the He valve at 10:00 whereas the rep has it at 9:00. Big oversight in my opinion. This is a surefire tell unless I will be corrected.

  5. One of my favourites for sure. Mostly because I love the manual wind in a chrono; figured they would re-release it at some point so I didn't splurge for any of the high priced "collectibles." Surprised they didn't get the second hand lume dot right again. This model was a popular seller; why not do it right like the Josh 212s? I'd still go for it anyway if just the case was ti. Sigh...

  6. I bought the black Kelly briefcase from kenberg. The quality is astonishing, it is by far the nicest briefcase I have ever owned or seen. I cannot say how close it is to the original since I have never seen it. This bag is amazing, and it gets noticed. I got many compliments on it. It is a little tedious to open/close it because of the two straps. But these straps keep it in perfect shape even when it is very full. I had the Sunday Globe in it and a book and it still looked perfect.

Hey Rol, would you mind posting some pics if you can get around to it? Much obliged...
