  1. Well damn. I dont wanna scuba in it, just swim or snorkel. I think it should be already...
  2. Hmm.. so now we get the "Guaranteed to 1000ft".... Is this really true? Would/has anyone actually taken these things in the water? If so, I'd be all over one. Got a cruise this summer, and many-a-days by/in the pool
  3. Same here. Had 9 at one time, but just couldn't be happy having them sit in the box, and most likely die one day, so I'm down to 3 (but waiting for the Cousteau, Navi, etc ) Davidsen 177h Noobmariner (Can't get rid of this baby, it was my first, my last, my everything) 42mm PO
  4. Just a little forewarning.... If you look at the waterproofing service on Josh's site it says the watch will "withstand pressue testing of 5 atm.. 50 meters..." If you then go onto Wikopedia and read there, it says "A watch rated 50 Meters is expected to survive immersion without pressure such as being worn while washing up dishes." SO with that being said, I would be EXTREMELY careful about wearing your watch swimming if its a watch you care about...

    Lacoste

I'd be VERY careful on eBay. A majority are fake, I bought one before and the alligator fell off after 2 washes... The funny thing about that is, I just got the eBay catalog the other day, and they advertise Lacoste Polo Shirts - $30-50 or something like that, which a majority of the ones they sell on the bay are fake!
  6. ... I think that is a very bad idea! IMO, you shouldn't even keep this thing near the sink, much less 20m below the surface.
  7. Saw that.. but I want a HUGE reaction..
  8. So I was just strolling the 'risti boards, as I usually do, and they had a very close up shot of the watch Mr. Bonati was sporting at the conference. Well I hadn't seen it up close, but apparently it was what appears to be a black/PVD Fiddy. Is it possible that they could put out a new Fiddy in PVD? If so that would by my MUST HAVE rep. I can't even sport the 47mm, but I would do it anyway in PVD.... Now, lets just hope they make it
  9. Bracelet issue, serial number, if you look VERY close i think it has a recessed cannon pin I mean the whole fact that all of the pictures are poorly lit and not very close is kinda sketchy...
  10. Damn.. I wrote up a long group of questions and pointed out all the things that made it a rep, and then went to submit and report and the firewall at my work wouldn't let me Oh well, you guys look like you have the situation under control!!!
  11. Wow you couldn't be any more incorrect, but this is not a political debate, let's keep it that way.. ignorance...
  12. See, I am not sure which way I would actually go on this though. I have seen a lot of people get into watches, through replicas, and eventually go on to buy a gen, where as, *In my experience*, those who can afford the gen's enjoy the feeling of having a gen on their wrist and do not turn to reps, IMO. That being said, I have also had a number of people come up to me and be like "I like that watch, what is that? Pan-er-what?".. I am sure people learn of a brand through replica watches as well. So, IMO, if I had to do the math on it, I would probably say that there are a decent amount of both. Of course this doesn't make any of this "right" per se....
  13. Just a simple question.. no need for the sarcasm..
  14. This is my thoughts on the matter (from another post over at RWI): "I don't know about anyone else but replica watches has the SAME affect on me that downloading music did in the old days. I used to download new bands CD's just to listen to them and see if I liked them. Then, if I did, I would end up buying their new albums when they came out, going to their concerts, etc. Basically making them money. Well... since I have joined the rep community I, like mayn others, have become quite fond of Panerai watches. I have since then considered, on multiple occasions, buying an authentic Panerai watch. I have yet to do it, but I know it will be only a matter of time before I own a gen. Basically, I would have NEVER heard of Panerai if it weren't for this forum, and I would have never owned one if it weren't for replica's. So in conclusion, I think replicas can actually help the company as well. Many people on this board on Gen Pams that would have never even heard of them before reps...... I know that wasn't that clearly said, but you get my point..."
  15. I have no idea.. but i would guess "In-gen-new-er" ?????
  16. Gotcha.. my bad.. didn't read teh text between pics...
  17. I know, I love them... just doubt it would be a "coveted" watch to rep... This is all IMO.
  18. Are these 2 shots of the same watch????? If so that distortion/color is crazy...
  19. Yea, any update? I've been holding out for this bad boy...
  20. Good luck getting them to rep a Sinn..... (which is, in a way, already a rep )
  21. These bad boys still rule in my mind... comes in a quattro as well... EDIT: Had to show the quattro
  22. I wish our rep's had date font as accurate as that Folex...
  23. Narikaa's watches crack me up....
