right proportions and colors (and ofc superior finishing) makes the gen really lovable, and rep looks "ok" in comparison. i really want a gen one myself but too bad my girls wrists cant pull APROO's (even the ROC sits awkward due to angle of lugs) superb watch wear it in good health!

its not about the details, real langes are just supreme quality with solid heavy feeling (all langes are in either gold or platinum). and higher quality in finishing than most pateks. you can tell by the general look of the watch if its fake or not without even wearing it. also platinum shines different. you just cant replicate lange..

why do you even talk if you have no clue about wtf you talking about =) rolex sport models gain value over time, my used sub is no longer in production and now worth more than retail. you buy watches to wear them, but its nice to know that your watches wont lose much value. it shows its brand power. its easy to talk about gens are overpriced etc.. then why dont you go and found your own brand from scratch, then sell it for rep prices, so easy =) if people are willing to pay big cash on a watch, the watch will be sold for big cash, it determines its value. market value is adjusted by people who PAY and they are mostly not idiots believe me =). in short, money talks my friend. and if there werent any gens, reps wouldnt exist. but gens can exist without reps =) dont get me wrong im not a rep hater, i usually dont give a [censored] what other guy wears a fake or not as long as its a nice watch, but one shouldnt fool himself and glorify the reps, giving them undeserved value.

when wearing "gens" i feel like wearing a nice watch i like, gen or rep doesnt come to my mind, simple, its a nice watch when i wore reps, i felt like wearing a watch with a nice apperance i got from a huge discount, but something big isnt quite right with the watch, looks like its pretending to be something else. its not complete and accomplished, its not real. then it gets too complicated for a watch and complications better left inside of the watch in movement..

lol...i think maybe you will never get the point, and you are still not honest to yourself. Normally, if you like the look of Rolex, you should be paying rolex price to own one. if you dont want to pay, you should be wearing something else. I hate to say this but basically reps steal the design and reconstruct with cheaper materials and poorer finishing(yes, even the steel and yes, even the so-called 1:1 reps). Reps arent built from scratch, repmakers didnt invent their own movement, they didnt design it themselves, also from scratch, they didnt found a company which made his way up to the position they have now, with prestige. They didnt have to survive the quartz watch crisis. i really dont need to list all of that.. Submariner design maybe still didnt change much in 50years, simply because its damn good design, its timeless. Prob the most copied, imitated, inspired and replicated design in the world. And the price is more than justified. But with gens nobody usually need to justify their purchase, unlike with reps from what i've seen so far =) Wearign a rep is like cheating, everybody has urge to cheat sometimes, but should not overdo it.. *only [censored] drive Audis? what kind of stupid generalisation is that, then should only insecure losers drive fieros with ferrari look (at least the latter has a point) ^^
