  1. Thanks Stephane, that's exactly what I needed!
  2. I love the looks of my 4th gen PO. Good size for my 7.124764 inch wrist, and it's a COSC level timekeeper after a single regulation! The crown is something I would like to "upgrade" if possible. I have read several threads about homemade fixes with drilling and expoxy, and other things I am allergic to. Has anyone done a "definitive fix" to the 4th gen PO? If a Genuine stem/crown combo could be done for less than $100, I like the watch enough, I would be willing to go that way too! Thanks for your time guys
  3. Can someone hook me up with a link for Bob's straps, I never saved the link. I need a new band for my beater Pulsar Thanks.
  4. Just another reason to wear a "water resistant" timepiece methinks
  5. I wear my 42.5 orange PO to work (operating room) all the time, get nothing but compliments. That being said, everyone there is dressed in pajamas, so you would have to call the dress code..........casual
  6. The Ganjaman.com link isn't working for me, are you sure you spelled it right? He must have moved his website again, damn!
  7. As I have posted before, THIS is the best Sub going out there! Slap on a pair of legs, and you are good to go!
  8. When you guys jumped ship from RW1 to RWG, did you do it on the QT, or did you post the new sites information openly on the board?
  9. I like the looks of the Burlwood version, very nice! I have to find a way to get mine back to the first floor, as the wife banished it to our 2nd floor bedroom .........can't understand why she didn't like it plopped right in the middle of the kitchen? Honestly, this beast didn't fit the desk area I thought it might........tape measure would have helped probably Nice collection as well..........man, you got the bug pretty bad Now let's see how long these things last before they either break down, or make an unacceptable amount of noise! At the price point, I'm just hoping for a few years
  10. I "fixed" the diver's extension by widening the area between the split bars, a fix I read about on RWG. I then gently adjusted the retaining bars on the clasp to catch the protruding bar do-hickeey. That makes perfect sense, right? Anywho, the bracelet works, much better than when I bought it 2nd hand from a very nice member. I just find that compared to my rep sub, seiko's, Wenger GST, it's not that comfortable, but I love the watch itself. My question is really more about the Watchadoo, maybe I should have asked about peoples experience with the Watchadoo. Maybe that's What-i-should-do
  11. After doing considerable research myself, I ended up deciding Renata Ronay was the best PAM replica. Sure, the makeup is a little heavy, and the lips are not quite perfect, but her other features make up for it in spades Welcome!
  12. Sean, Great first post! I have purchased several reps in the first two months, and lust after many others. Didn't think a PAM was for me, but I ordered a FER0002 rep last week, so I "sort of" broke down, and got a PAM, though it looks like few others. I like the sage adice, "flip it on the sales forum if it don't work for ya". What a low risk option. Go where the spirit moves you. If a Buick pops out of my PAM Ferrari, I'll PM you, the Buick will be yours to keep
  13. I'm enjoying my 4th gen PO, but find the clasp fickle to buckle, and it isn't the most comfortable bracelet I own. I've read great reviews about the Watchadoo replacement bracelet, mostly for use with Seiko divers. Has anybody fit a wachadoo to a SS omega rep like the PO? Any pictures? Without drilled lug holes, is this going to be an exercise in frustration? Anybody know the size of the spring bars in a 4th gen PO? Watchadoo needs 1.75mm or smaller. New spring bars indicated? For the record, I'm not much of a leather strap guy (too damn sweaty!) Thanks for your time. Blackrain
  14. I got a similar response from a coworker about my "perfect LV Sub" from Paul. He was wearing a black bezel gen Sub, brand new. He was busting my balls that I had spent the extra money for the green bezel, maybe our company was paying me too much (we are partners in a very large group). I never took it off my wrist, but held it right next to his for a good minute, pointing out the maxi-dial and fat minute hand. Just the fact that he was not familiar with these features told me I was going to be OK on that encounter. In the past 2 months of collecting reps, he is the only person that said anything besides "nice watch", or "isn't that a funny color" (about the PO and Orange Monster).
  15. Place looks great. Could you give us a "trip report" when you get back, if you feel comfortable sharing your secret destination? Always looking for another place to take the Mrs., so she will keep biting her lip each time a small EMS box arrives from the far east
  16. Can you share with us where you got this watch?
  17. Make sure to add some pics of the Burlwood to this thread, that would make it more complete for those considering this winder
  18. I just picked up a new Black Monster off the bay ($128). After having found the Seiko/Citizen forum, and seen some of the Mods there, I'm going to send it off to Bob Thayer, and get it customized. His prices seem very reasonable. His communication is excellent, and his reputation is solid. He is US based. Attached a few pics from his site to get your blood going His site very much worth checking out if you want to make that monster or 007 "your own". Seiko Mods by Bob Thayer
  19. I love the +/- 15 seconds a MONTH in the description I think more than a few things are lost in translation. This watch is admired for its value on the Seiko/Citizen board. This watch LOOKS like it's a moded 007 in some ways. I would echo what longshot said, if the color combo does it for you, it would be hard to argue with a purchase...........pull the trigger
  20. Don't worry about the disinterest in porn............it will "bounce back" eventually Great start at choosing you dealers! It's too bad the Pam bug hit you early, you might have had a chance to escape, but now............oh well, you could have chosen a more destuctive addiction! Enjoy, and Welcome!
  21. That Oris blue faced Diver really is JUST what I was looking for! I'll start the hunt now for a good price, as it seem $750+ is all I can find it for, and that is more than I had hoped to pay for a nice blue faced watch. Let the hunting begin!
  22. Bob Thayer has also done some interesting Mods on Seiko watches. I think I'm going to customize a plain Black Monster with him soon. Bob Thayer's Seiko Mod Page
  23. Holy smokes! That's a beauty! I like the "fast" and "slow" adjustment on the movement! Not for those who fear scratching the back of their $15,000 watch by cracking the back with a $20 watch opener Do you think the rep could ever mimic all the "waves" and different shades of gold/copper in the movement? Amazing!
  24. That's why I'm here my friend I would feel sorry for you, but having read great reviews of the Ferrari FER0002, Davidson's Fiddy, and seeing Pug's pics of the Black Monster with Nato strap, I'm soon going to be out another $750...................my wife is gonna friggin kill me soon
