WTF is Octagon talking about. If its a TD things don't go missing. The 10% WU isn't an incentive, it's an off-set discount for the fee. I assume Octagon would raise a complaint with Credit card company if something failed with TD?? It's [censored] like this that would raise a Paypal dispute IMO.
So the best super reps are for international buyers.... Like us forum members. Are any Reps sold say Japan, where the mark-up maybe higher but also the quality expectation by that market far greater?? Masmannan
To be honest. This TD has given up responsibility of the shipping to his agent. So, TD had zero clue and just assumed (wrongly) item was shipped. Now, there are cheaper TDs I can go to. But previous fast efficient transaction kept me happy. The TD also stopped accepting PP last month and I still kept faith with TD and used WU. This situation now gets me to evaluate and try out other TDs. Masmannan
No. TD is using DHL. What he explained briefly: that in order to get FedEx/DHL service for $35 he uses an agent. If he didn't use an agent, we would pay $60. This TD has always been consistently fast. Order on Thursday and get it Monday morning HK to London. On this occasion I paid Friday, QC Saturday and expected DHL to ship Monday and receive latest Thursday. When queried for tracking info on Monday: TD advises me my rep was shipped already but unable to provide tracking. But it was shipped. On Thursday TD gives tracking and I check. And DHL tracking tells me they only received my package on that day. That seriously sucks. Masmannan
Hi All, My TD who I regularly use has changed his shipping method which has basically added an extra week to my DHL/FedEx service. I'm annoyed as like everyone , I want my Rep quickly and I pay a premium shipping service. The TD was unsympathetic and didn't appreciate that all elements of the purchasing experience reflects upon the TD. Anyone else experience shipping processing recently? Masmannan
Can't helping with further shipping advice already given in the other shipping thread. How was the rep buying experience and quality of the reps? Masmannan
Op - if like most of us get into this hobby, you're unlikely to stop in buying just 1 rep. So, on that basis I will suggest you save your bucks and not bother entering this hobby till you have a job. Or save up and buy the best you can afford. Enjoy the journey Masmannan
Hi All, Thanks to everyone who gives AP advice. It's really appreciated and it's helping with my addiction to APs. I have in my small but growing collection: AP Diver 3.5 Safari Silver Themes (Panda) incoming. I have a sweet spot for Rubberclads: black dial, white dial and 57. The Royal Oaks look kind of small. The MH looks a little dandy. I like it but I don't think it's me. What says you guys? Masmannan
Angus is legit. Pay him via WU. And don't worry if he wants you send payment to someone else or a different country. He will sort you out with the item you want. Masmannan
The US guy who visited London last week told me he simply placed his rep collection in his carry-on and he wasn't checked. Do check with customs, but I suspect they have more important stuff to pay attention to. Masmannan
Aaa fairly new AP guy, I would say it is expensive. But not as bad as you'd think. Start off with the 3.5 diver. It's lovely. As for the ROOs, strap needs instant replacing. Modding can wait, when you're bored. And don't overly stress about the chrono. Just my 2 cents. Masmannan
An acquaintance of mine used to sell used panties online. He would buy a load from the cheap shops and leave them in his dog basket for weeks on end. He had many happy customers willing to believe they were genuinely belonging to sexy office secretaries. Just saying Masmannan
