It seems there is certainly knowledge and expertise with Op. To make this work, I think you need to nail down the business/commercial side of your activity. Members like/want to see photos of their work, updates and set of terms and conditions of business. Clear requirements to be established IMO. Things going wrong can be real costly for sure. Many new TD offering watch smith , modding have failed due this aspect. Good luck.

There's a guy on RWI who has been developing a full range of AP casesets and parts. There are at least 2 moddors who will lose business to your entry for sure. I think some of their work including milling process photos are on their too. Defo do some more research on RWI mate.

Members who undertake AP franken projects for sure will be keen on your services. RWI forum has a very active Rep AP section. I think there would also be serious interest for parts such as high quality screws. Presently, rep screws are being sold by TDs for $15. And these are for low quality butter soft screws. Definitely, a nice hobby income to be had if you can fulfil this gap.

The gen deployment won't make it any more comfortable. I'd suggest you opt for a tang buckle. Order the tang from a TD and get Jacob to make your strap for tang buckle. My 2 cents.

Tips from YouTube I saw: Defo shop around identify the watch you want and tell the AD your shopping for a great deal. Be open to the fact your comparing with other ADs. Don't waste their time by leading them on. Mark-ups are different from country to country, and by brands. Gold watches have bigger margins and more room to play. Also, like a lot sales products, head to the AD toward month end. It might help... Masmannan

^ agree that some situations do arise where a v3 can be better than v4. However, if you can't decide when it comes to purchase time, ask the TD. They are TDs for a reason and I'm Sure they'll happily guide you.

I would never ship anything back to China TDs. I would use a local smithy, and if it dies, I'd sell it for parts on M2M. Tracking from what I read; once parcel In China it is not the same as tracking in US, Europe etc. once it's in China good frigin luck. Masmannan.

If you don't mind a few bruises : boxing is a good way to get fit and learn a skill. There is little comparison when your heart rate reaches 180+ and trying to avoid punches.
