Thanks, we're trying to stay as positive as possible for her, although she's told Emily that she just wants to keep as much to herself as possible, but she lives with her mum and brother, so they'll look after her

After hearing reports that watches were leaking even after the buyer had paid the dealer's premium for waterproofing, no, I do not trust any claims that paying extra will get a watch waterproofed from the dealer. However, I do believe that most watches will be waterproof by virtue of their design, and have had a 99% success rate with that regard on my purchased watches. I've only had one watch which leaked upon arrival, a PAM 105. It was sent back for replacement, and the replacement was perfectly waterproof As soon as they arrive, I run them under a faucet on full flow. If all is well, it goes on the wrist and then endures bathing/swimming etc. If it was to fog up, well, that just gives me a little project of stripping the watch to dry it out

Not for me, but for the mother of my godson. I'd known for a week that she was undergoing tests for cervical cancer, and just received an email saying "results came back severe abnormalities so awaiting hospital appointment for a biopsy." To say that Nicola is my best friend really doesn't begin to describe how I feel about her, when she asked us to be Robin's godparents before he was even born, she became as important to us as any blood relative, and if Emily received the same results, it would feel no different. If you can spare her a moment's prayer, it would be very much appreciated. Christian, Jew, Hindu, Muslim, it makes no difference, I know the messages all go to the same Inbox, and I think she's going to need all the support she can get, not just for her, but for her son. Sounds like the movement needs servicing. If it's an a21j, and if you can swap the movement yourself, it's probably cheaper to just replace the movement than try and repair the existing one...
