This would be another suggestion...

Give me a break TeeJay! The DSSD is only reserved for special ocassions like work and grocery shopping. Sitting on the couch glued to the forum calls for a less-than-daily-beater type of watch. Besides that.. the DSSD is getting a new bracelet since mine is missing the LOGO.. It's coming from greece and i should have it tomorrow. Once it's refinished and polished i'll put it on the watch and I won't be so shy about putting it on my skimpy wrist
Only joshing, amigo It looks fantastic, and the strap really complements the watch Congrats on the new bracelet If you ever wanted to build a sterile homage watch, you could always put your existing bracelet to good use with that

Luminor Regatta Flyback again:
That's not a DSSD!
Only joking, absolutely fantastic watch and strap combination
-
Wow, that is one interesting watch

I don't know but I actually wouldn't mind a good Monaco rep with frozen stopwatch. Damn it's a great watch.
It's a tasty piece for sure, and a design classic The thing which made me wonder about the possibility of a movement transplant, is that on the reps, the crown is at the 3 position, and seeing the date window at 6, it got me wondering about if the movement mght fit to the Monte Carlo dial
-
This is the thing which I think is nice about reps. The one I listed above may be wildly inaccurate to any genuine model made by Rolex, but, it looks like a nice watch in it's own right
-
I just do what I can
-
Daytona of course. But how could you forget Monaco?
:thumbsupsmileyanim:
I just had an idea... Would the movement from a rep Monaco, be a compatible transplant into a Tudor Monte Carlo?
-
hey bro
ZX 1 yeah thats definintly a drivers watch, hardcore only needs another strap
I thought you might appreciate that one As you say, a decent leather strap, and it'd definitely look the business
-
Not exactly a rep, but this is pretty cool

Having fun with my new camera...

Lots of "little" mistakes that add up quick.
However, to the cliches:
You have to break a few eggs to make an omelet.
Practice makes perfect.

Teejay - Very clean lines on the Cellini. Nice choice
Thanks, this was the one in particular I was thinking of

Here here. I've learned the hard way that just about any time i open a watch with any intent more than to remove dust, is going to be a BIG mistake.
I have an eye for repair/modding... But not the hands.
The worst mistake I made, would be trying to remove the hands from Sinn U1 four hours after I got it. Didn't even habe time to enjoy it before ruining it (broke the seconds hand off in the canon pin - or broke the canon pin - not sure)
Why? well, because i'd just bought a Bergeon hand tool, thats why. No other reason. Got to say thanks to Josh for his kindness here.
The second hand has always been the weak point in any work I've done... If something's going to go wrong, it's when I get to the second hand /

Sure! The girls have got one. Stinks all to hell though. I wouldn't recommend one.

Anyway.... I came across the DayDate II (slightly bigger case?) and wonder what you guys thought of it
Personally, I don't like it... I think the fluted bezels look better on a jubilee rather than presidential bracelet, and the dial looks like it should be a 'classic' stick marker dial, rather than modern markers... I think there are much nicer DDs and DJs out there, but, as with everything in this game, it is all a matter of personal taste
What do you thing is the best dress watch (please no bling )????
It I could have an ultimate Rolex dress watch, it would probably be a black-dialed vintage Cellini... Another option I would go for, would be the black-dialed 'mystery' DJ, but I'd add a decent leather strap rather than the bracelet... As above though, it's all a matter of personal taste, and that's just my .2c

but my biggest mistake was parking there this friday..someone had crashd my car and leaved without to call the police
They'll get their comeuppance in time, bro
-
Hmmm....
I'd like to think that I've learned something from every mistake I've made Killing movements has taught me how to be more careful in my manipulations of them, and to treat any kind of watch repair as a 'do or do not' situation, as there is little, if any, margin for error. I think my only real 'regret' is that I destroyed my Yacht-Master through experimentation, as that was a very nice watch to wear, but is at least replaceable

breakfast this morning with a new watch
deltatahoe
Looking good
I'm not really one for cereals, but that would be the ideal snack right now
-
I think the solution would be to BUY ONE!!!
All in good time, my friend
-
Awesome Can't been a nice sterile homage
-
YM time!.. haven't worn this since my wedding... i put it on for a while.. then decided to take it off a couple hours ago.
now i'm wearing the blacksteel..
Very nice I think the YM is the one watch I actually wouldn't mind getting another of (mine succumbed to my experiments modding practice )

Heck, I want to be his watch-smith

I would also recommend the GMTIIc simply because the bezel can also be used as a timing guide, so that's an extra feature which the Explorer II cannot perform
