Guys, while Admin is out looking for a shovel (or is it a bulldozer?) please use the the PM function for your personal exchanges. Gotta keep it short.... By the way, how's the weather where you are?
-
Thanks for opening our eyes to this issue, The Zigmeister. I would never had a clue....
-
I know exactly what you mean.... has happened to me more than once. Maybe I'll be able to get temporary leave for good behavior....
-
We should definitjely bury this thread before it gets any longer....
-
I'll probably have gone mad by then, but you and the wife are always welcome to drop in for a visit at the local asylum...
-
Time for a tall glass of Kool-Aid and a nice tree-hug. 'Nite, fellas.... Play nice, (and always look both ways before crossing the road!)

It was more than an 'argument', Gran.... As I remember, Neil roasted you like a marshmallow in a blast furnace for weeks....but you survived, and when things cooled down you were friends again - sort of.... As for my avatar, just repeat after me:

Despite what TTK thinks, Cray is good people. Despite Cray's opinion, TTK is good people. Think of this as an oft-repeated mating ritual: they'll be absolutely loving one another sooner or later. Seen it happen before, can very well happen again.

I quite seriously doubt it. Not his style at all.

Too many people waiting for delivery of hundreds if not thousands of rep watches...all long overdue...frustration is mounting....the source of the conflict has been located in a bar/seafood joint in Pattaya.... A great flame-war seems to be immanent.... Standby for latest developments

Neil, I know you love a good fight - particularly when you feel that you've been unjustly attacked, but maybe it's getting time to hang that Samurai sword on the wall and leave the arena. Not out of fatigue or fear, but using the ultimate weapon of the wise: indifference. You've got nothing left to prove to anyone anymore. Other than the fact that a man who stands up a bit taller than others is bound to attract lightning. I'm not taking sides in this dispute, I'm just suggesting that you take stock of the situation: there will always be someone here who (and once again, in deference to, and respect for Cray - I repeat - I'm not taking sides) will insist that you sleep with snakes, eat babies for breakfast and send out bad watches on some arbitrary schedule known only to you. Save your energy for the friends who respect you for what you are and the numerous clients who respect you for what you offer. Maybe it's time to let go of the rest: tales told by the unsatisfied, full of sound, fury, indignation - and often signifying absolutely nothing. And to Craytonic: I hope you'll understand that you're not the reason I'm writing this - you've been around here long enough to have earned credibility and respect in my eyes. What's going on between you and Neil is strictly your business. I know nothing about it other than the two 'sides' presented here, and I'm not about to pass judgement. All I can say is that I'm sorry that the deal was unsatisfactory, that [censored] happens, and that as concerns you both, I'm in no position to know how or why. I just had something to say to Neil - and it seemed like the right place and time to do it. I hope I've lightened someone's day - as for me, I've said what I needed to say.

We could start a Buddhist Crusade, forcing everyone to convert - Christians, Muslims, Jews, everybody! Even Buddhists will have to convert to Buddhism. The Pope asks the World: "Who you Daddy?" The World responds: "Lord Buddha!" The dolphins and whales relax, The world becomes a better place.

No way, Ken. Unless he wires the money via WU - and fat chance that he will. It looks like every Internet scam I've ever seen - the greatest caution is advised.
-
Everything eventually connects. And when it does - we'll have eliminated ourseleves (and our species) pretty much from the picture. The scattered pockets of those who remain are going to find themselves knocked all the way back into the stone-age. Not a value judgement, just a lucid, empirical observation - and I sincercely hope I'm wrong.
-
Admin, do you really have to ask?
-
Good one, Admin.
-
It's not their fault. I mean the Irish: they're born that way. And welcome to RWG, Blancheunel!
-
It was going to be a thread about rats, but I suddenly became dyslexic and gave up.
-
Wow, this really makes me feel sad for Admin....trying to offer RWG a short thread and then seeing everyone pile on making it longer and longer. I really think something should be done to help him out....for the moment I don't really have any ideas, but I'll post as soon as I do. We've absolutely got to find a way to make this the shortest RWG thread....

Everythingape, I agree with you when you say that the man-made circles 'look like complete and utter [censored] compared to these elaborate works of art.' Another fact is that no one has ever seen anyone creating any one of the minimum of 10,000 circles that have been documented worldwide since the 70s. Here are links to two sites which examine the phenomenon from what is claimed to be a scientific (including peer-review) point of view: http://www.bltresearch.com/plantab.html http://www.greatdreams.com/crop/hoax/hoax.htm Personally, I have no interest in convincing either myself or others that these phenomena are either man-made or not. Like you say, "I like the dynamic shape of them, and the sheer beauty of it all..." (they are) "elaborate works of art."

Many of you have long suspected that there was something not quite right me...and as matter of fact, you're right. I'm finally coming out....and admitting that Crop Circles interest me. This one comes from Alton Priors in Wilshire England. There are 8, 12 and 16 twists in the three squares. 8 + 12 + 16 = 36. 1 + 2 + 3 + ... + 36 = 666. Even if it is man-made (ie, by Pugwash during one of his 'multi-tasking' sessions at work rather than by Nekkid Monsters from Outer Space), you have to admit that it's pretty neat. The second is from Hackpen Hill..... Associated commentary (not mine): "The crop circle depicts the three generations of pairs of quarks, one with positive charge, the other with negative charge (Yang/Yin symbol). The 32 circles denote the 32 components of the Dirac bispinor wave function of 10-dimensional superstrings. Only a professional particle physicist could have the knowledge to hoax this. But how many of them are crop circle makers?" And for your viewing pleasure, another one from Ogbourne St George, England:

I mean what do you guys think about that?

To keep this thread short, I think personal queries such as the above should be sent as PMs... Just my 2 cents.....!

This is a very informative short thread.
