  1. Thanks MD2020, how do you secure the gen dial to the ETA movement once you've removed the dial feet ?!
  2. Also, how easy is it to get a gen dial to fit an ETA movement ?! I believe that the dial feet need to be removed (is this correct) ?? Have there been any how to's on this ? Completed a quick search but to no avail Cheers
  3. Thanks for the confirmation devilseam, saves me searching for gen parts and also saves a whole heap of ££££'s
  4. Does a gen Rolex date wheel fit an ETA 2824-2 movement ?? Or do I need to use a good rep (TC) DWO ?? Also do gen hands fit an ETA 2824-2 or do I again need to use a good rep set made specifically for the ETA ?? Cheers
  5. Cheers stgtuk.....now to concentrate on my project
  6. Thanks for all the help guys A little WD40 and a light tap on the screwdriver did the trick...... Quick wrist shot
  7. How much do used gen 16610 dials go for ?? £250 ??
  8. Ok thanks for the input guys. Will steer clear. How do you tell if a dial is genuine or not other than buying the seller??
  9. Yes, they have noted that some of the markers require work (not quite sure what the issue is with them, I need to ask) however I dont think I would be too fussed about that for the correct price. So this looks genuine ??
  10. Thought on this please guys ?? Were there gen dials with just "swiss" ?? I thought they were either "swiss made" or "swiss T<25". Cheers
  11. I'll see what I can find. Why dont Omega have an adjustable clasp either its either slightly too big or too small as you only have the full or half links to remove!
  12. I know tempted to try a little independant jewellers first, could be £5 well spent Can you purchase replacement screws if I stuff the heads up ??
  13. Yes the newer bracelet with screws (independant) on either side and a little pin between
  14. Thanks guys, will give them both a go and see if that frees the little bleeders
  15. Does this look genuine ?? I've heard horror stories regarding parts from Italy http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROLEX-SAPHIR-CYCLOP-GLASS-ref-25-295-CY1-FIT-Datejust-Oysterquartz-Day-Date-/230823984178?pt=Orologi_da_Polso&hash=item35be2e7c32
  16. Hi, Recently purchased an Omega PO (42mm) from one of the TD on the forum. It arrived yesterday and everything is spot on apart from the bracelet adjusting screws, due to my ultra skinny wrists I need to remove 3 links however the screws on one side of the bracelet will not budge. I have managed to remove the 3 links from one side but now I have the problem where the clasp is not central on my wrist !! Before I go back to the TD with the problem are there any tips I can try to shift the stubborn screws ?? I'm worried that they may have been cross threaded in the factory or something !! Would WD40 be any use ?? Cheers R
  17. Thanks - Is that the genuine crystal number ?? 25-295 or 25-295 C2 ??
  18. Hi, Just looking into gen crystals for my 16610 sub build, intention is to use either TC or Sean case. There seems to be many variants for crystals (25-135, 25-116 etc..) Can someone please enlighten me to the differences / options that are available for my intended build ?? Cheers Ryan
  19. Can anyone give me an opinion on this bezel insert ??? Is it Genuine or not ?? Cheers
  20. Ok thanks guys, guess I'll have to let this go. How much is a top quality rep? This is around £70
  21. If aftermarket crystals are the same quality how comes a lot of Franken builds go the gen crystal route and say that the difference is noticeable?? What do we think about this one??
  22. For a 16610 / 16613 Yeah I am worried but is an excellent price (if genuine) Ryan
  23. Could anyone help ?? How do you tell if a crystal is genuine or not?? Is it possible without knowing the dealer?? Found this but only 1 pic!! Cheers
