  1. Any movement specialists able to help... I have got my heart set on a gen cal. 3135 movement for my TC 16610 Sub build, there is currently a NOS cal. 3135 movement on the bay that I am considering placing a cheeky bid on but says 'needs a service' as has been sitting and not running. Trouble is its right at the very top end of my budget already so factoring in a service would blow the budget completly. My question is would it really need a full service if it has never been in a watch or would it run ok and 'loosen' and 'free' up given a bit of time ?? Ryan
  2. +1 - the holy grail and missing piece
  3. Issey Miyaki Paco Rabanne 1 Million CK One
  4. An impressive haul in 11 months, a few there that I would love to own, however I'm sure I would have someone at home who would put a stop to it if I ever got anywhere near half that PAM is gorgeous, I'm trying do hard to tell myself I don't need one, lucky for me I have skinny wrists so 42mm is max for me!
  5. I sent an e-mail when Mike asked too earlier in the week without a reply. I'm not waiting on a watch but parts I paid for, I don't even want the parts now, a simple refund would suffice.
  6. Its perfectly normal, In my (short) experience TDs always request that you do not post QC pictures on the forum. I recently purchased a watch from a TD which was sent via DHL, it can take up to 3 or 4 days for the DHL system to be updated wih the tracking info but rest assured it will be, my watch was delivered in 8 days from receiving QC pics (QC pics 01/09, delivered to UK 09/09)
  7. Sorry to hear you are also having issues with MD2020. As I said in my post, my deal pales into insignificance compared to both yours and others but its the principle of it. I paid for the parts on 15th August and still have received nothing other than a message a week ago now saing that he had not actually sent them and would get them in the post (last) Tuesday 03 Sept. Have heard nor received anything since. I think that this possibly needs to be looked at further but not sure if there is anything anyone on the forum can actually do other than possibly ban ??
  8. If you aren't looking for an automatic then I have one of these in the watch box; http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mondaine-Gents-Analogue-strap-watch/dp/B000WF3V5E/ref=sr_1_1?s=watch&ie=UTF8&qid=1378807162&sr=1-1&keywords=mondaine+giant love the simplicity and look, unfortunately since I have been here it hasnt had much wrist time.
  9. No-one close able to help me out ?? I think you would need to be around the Bay area. I have more details now so anyone who can help please PM me Ryan
  10. I'm looking for a favour from a member who is in the Denville, CA area. Unfortunately I'm not sure whether its going to be a wild goose chase but need someone who would be willing to check something out for me, possibly pay (I'll supply the funds) and post to me in the UK. Anyone wiling to help (preferably a trusted forum member) PM me. Regards Ryan
  11. Thanks for the comments / views guys, have already been in contact with the guy from VRM and he wants more than I am ideally looking to pay. Was just considering other alternative ways to maybe get an cheaper gen movement
  12. I'm not intending to sell these parts here, it's just theoretical at this time. I'm considering purchasing a 'tired' example so I can use the movement for a project thus leaving me with the other parts to sell. Just trying to work out whether its feasible and worth the effort
  13. Aplogies if this type of thread is frowned upon but don't think there is anything in the rules about this ?? (mods feel free to delete if needed) I'm looking for realistic estimates on used gen parts, the watch is a two tone 16233; Mid case Caseback Crystal Dial Hands Bezel Bracelet (stretched)
  14. Looks stunning and very reasonably priced. Do they offer small versions too??
  15. He's def got my payment he confirmed it, it was clear a few days after I sent it, I did check. I'm just used to people sending the items within a few days of payment, this has been over 3 weeks now.
  16. Sorry to jump on this thread but I'm currently trying to resolve an issue with Mike too. I'm starting to worry about who I am dealing with now, I purchased some Breitling parts from Mike on 15th August, he messaged me the next day saying he would get them out ASAP. I messaged him again on 2nd September as hadn't heard or received and he replied saying that there had been a delay and he hadn't actually sent them for one reason or another but promised to the them out Tuesday this week. I got a message from him Tuesday morning questioning whether I had actually sent payment as there was an issue with PayPal showing his payments. I said that I had (put my forum ID as the message) and he confirmed and asked for my postage address. I have messaged Mike a couple of times since but have not received a response. I have requested a refund in the parts now as it was required for part of a birthday present but they will not arrive in time now, I feel that I am being reasonable seeing that he has had my payment for over 3 weeks now. Unfortunately I paid by gift (seeing as I got the impression he is a respected forum member) so no chance of claiming through PayPal. I know that some people are a lot further out of pocket and some have watches with Mike and hope that we can all get these resolved. Mike if you're reading this can you please respond to my last messages?? It says you have been online so am assuming you have read them??
  17. Yuki 3135 is currently out of stock with no plans for the foreseeable future to re-stock them If anyone has a spare y3135 then I'd be interested and I'm sure ceocorona may be too
  18. would like to know this too, if they do take gen dial, hands & date wheel without modification then this could be a real option for my Franken build. Are they available as movement only from Angus or do they only come as part of the complete watch ??
  19. Are the SA3135 movements available to purchase as movement only ?? The movement is currently the stumbling block on my build, Ihave both gen dial and hands but am also loathe to clip the dial feet, bearing in mind that Yuki 3135 is currently out of stock for the foreseeable future this could be a viable alternative however not worth it if it is a gamble as to whether gen hands will fit or not. We need another 3135 clone or an accessory that allows at least a gen dial to be used with an ETA movement
  20. Gorgeous! I'm not usually a fan of gold on watches but this is very nice indeed, congratulations. Wear it well
  21. Out of stock when I checked this morning...
  22. I'm just still not convinced with a Yuki movement. I think I'll build it with ETA movement and TC dial & hands for now and see if I can source a 3135 at a bargain price at a later date. Will store the gen dial & hands for now. I would dearly love a gen movement .....
  23. I prefer the sub date TBH, also these seem to go for around £3k. My budget for the 16610 is circa. £2k. I know that I am not going full super franken without the bezel etc but thats good enough for me. Plus I already have a majority of the parts I want for the 16610 build and still approx £1k cheaper. I did consider the Yuki 3135 clone but after reading the sticky review it looks as though its hit and miss with regards to encountering problems. Do these come up for sale recently serviced often ??
  24. TBH I think thats the going rate for a gen cal. 3135 movement unless you are very very lucky !! I am going to drop them an e-mail and see if they can come to a deal
