  1. I saw one on one of the forums a while back - maybe RWG.bz, in the M2M section and thought about it and decided against it. Looking at yours I made a mistake as that is lovely with the aged insert: before it just TOO red. Well done sir.

Wow, what's happening with the forum - my posts are all over the place? Fist the above was posted on another thread and now it looks like Legend said it lol.

Sorry, no idea why the above is here in you thread - I posted this on cavi's Colamariner thread!

And, I can't help with your crystal question either!

  3. Well, there are plenty of b1tches down here in Bangkok, but I tend to think there are more wenches, so that's a good thing!

Problem is, it seems to be quite common in the wenches' nature to eventually turn into b1tches, often when past their used by date:inverted: (here is about 28-30)

Steady, there is only one 'B' word you should call a woman and that is Beautiful........

  4. Jaa...you made my day mate :)

Indeed...I haven't done a proper research. I just googled some pics and saw that on all of them the dots are circles.

With your hint I found some pics of early 2011 abyss chronos with squarrish dots, great.

Now I only have to change the movement to swiss 7750 to make it my superrep :D

    Indeed!

However, I'm not sure the rep hands will fit a ETA 7750. You may also need gen hands too. Unless your Asian 7750 has issues why change it?

  5. Pete you always have the most helpful and detailed advice to dispense when it suits you to be around. :)

    +1

    Well said Legend.

Pete, I hope you stay around. When I was a new here you took the time to guide me with some issues I had. It's a pleasure to read your posts.

  6. This is why I don't spend time on RWI nor financially support them by maintaining VIP status anymore.

Me too. After seeing the way that some people I'd be happy to call friends treated I let my VIP membership lapse. I still use the forum; mostly for browsing the sales sections though.

  7. FYI Micky, several dealers had been using him to triangle ship. I guess he wasn't sending these on to their respective  purchasers so Baldrick visited and 'collected' what he could find - about 9 packages. Baldrick is now being hero worshipped! That's my understanding but I didn't read all the posts.

  8. I've had a watch shipped to me in the same manor, from Singapore too, not that that matters. Fortunately, mine arrived in working condition (until I dropped it doh!). What really annoyed me was that it was a trade. I sent the other party several photos of my watch (a 47mm Pam from AJ) wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap and of it going into a padded envelope (Sorry Mike!). My packing was bombproof and the watch arrived just fine. I was first to send as he was at work so couldn't get to a post office until later in the day, so he saw how much care I'd taken in my packaging. The Rolex Explorer II that I received was just dropped into a non padded envelope without any bubble wrap or any protection. How it survived all the way from Singapore I'll never know but it did (until I dropped it).

Your seller AJ is 100% responsible for his actions. Yes, once it's left him then it's on you, but he has to give the watch a fair chance or reaching you in good working condition. IMHO if he's been sending watches out packed like this then either he's been incredibly lucky in the past that they've arrived ok, or his buyers have just bitten the bullet and taken the hit themselves.

Tottaly agree with with the comment that sellers should be responsible for packing the watch sufficiently well so that it arrives okay.
