Looks okay, but how long before its out of date and almost worthless. That's the big problem with technology, it's obsolete within a few months. At least my Seamaster will become classic (well maybe), but these sure won't. What are the apps that you actually need in a watch anyway. Still, having said all that I do quite fancy one myself!

I've just bought a Borealis Sea Diver new on eBay for less than £100. So as suggested pop over there and see what tickles your fancy.
To get you started (Yes some are buy it now and some are auctions but that's part of the game)
The list goes on.....

Indeed, but banned from repgeek! Even RWI didn't ban him. Must be a first.

Thanks for sharing. It's true of many veterans that they don't speak of what happend. My own grandfather, long departed, never spoke of his time on the convoys. We owe them a massive amount, much off which is not comprehended by the younger generation.

Well folks, I've been here for almost two and a half years and my tastes have changed over that time. When I was the young noob I was into almost everything; discovering new names that I just had to try out. Then you get into a grove, you know what you like and you like what you know.
Oddly, I didn't come here for Rolex, it was and still is Omega that gets my juices flowing. However, with such great reps of Patek, AP, Panerai, JLC, VC etc you just have to try them out. I went mad and must of purchased around 40 or so reps in my first year here, some from TD's but most M2M here and across the fora. I stalked our AJ in the sales section and came away with several nice pieces.
I now seem to be in another phase of my collecting, looking at micro brands and lesser know, but affordable gens that I can carry off. After all, jeans, a tee shirt and a nice Nautilus may go unnoticed in Hollywood, but not in my neck of the woods.
That brings me to the question, should one care about who notices your watch, rep or gen? Personally, no, but I'd feel foolish meeting some of the people I deal with for them to point and ask "is that real?" So I try and (mostly) collect what I'd be able to afford. Sure this includes a Rolex or two, naturally several Omegas, even some Breitlings and Tags, but I still have a couple of APs for posterity.
How about you? What's your journey through repdom been like?

Yes, I know. I can up the quantity and the price drops, but do I want to be left with 490 spare inserts! The number I was looking at I would expect to be able to sell.

Welcome. If you're looking at Trusty make sure you use the links for our trusted dealers - otherwise you'll open yourself up to the possibility of using a scam site / copy of trustytime (oh the irony!). The TD's can be found on the home page.

Looks good mate, wear in good health. Maybe you could think about becoming a VIP and give back to the community.

As I said before contact SSteel, aka Micky. He's based in Finland but will most likely be able to fix your movement and if not he'll be able to fit a replacement movement.

Ha! I'd like to know exactly this too. I've a gen Seamaster GMT with the day & night bezel that I'd like an all back one for as I much prefer the look of the Seamaster 2254. I've looked and looked yet can't find one. I know there are people on gen forums who also feel this way so if I could find someone to produce a reasonably small (20-50?) quantity at a sensible price then I'd go for it and try and sell the rest on. Whoopy, I'd appreciate a PM too :)
From this
To look more like this, albeit with 24 hour markers.

Send one of the TD's an email and they should advise if they can get it. If they can't then it's either never been made or no longer available.

According to next door their site is as DH suggested. Maybe they've moved recently, but that was correct as of 30 seconds ago!

Good people make mistakes, it's how they are handled and the apologies that are offered. I may be wrong, but personally, after reading the RWI thread whereby you, Wirosableng, still maintain it's your brother - I feel you'd have been better off not trying to wriggle out of the fact that you, or your account, was profiteering. Just hold your hands up accept the ban and move on. If you said "hey guys I'm here at RWG after learning from my mistake" you'd not have this thread. Good luck here.

Now, that's a cute one mate.

Whilst drinking and having a joke, I've offered R$10,000 - about €2500 to take her back to the UK, but he said no very firmly. She is lovely.

Am I the only person that say meh, not too fussed about it, maybe it'll grow on me. As it stands there are too many styles trying to happen: trying for the vintage look, but with the gold on the dial the stainless bezel clashes in my eyes. Strange as I love my BB red and also my Pelagos.
