Hello everyone. I need some help if possible.....re rep repairs.....
PM SSteel on here, he should be able to help.
-
Quite like it myself for €50. Looks nice
Yes, of course you can love any watch, including Casio. I've a Seiko Quartz chrono from when I was 21 years old. I still love it even though it's more or less retired these days. I actually wore it as my wedding watch as it had sentimental value.

I live in the UK, sometimes in London sometimes not. Currently in Brazil and have worked in Spain. Small world!

Welcome.
Whereabouts in South America are you? It's rather a large place!

Steady on old chap! Put your big girl panties back on.
Yes, I've bought from Puretime, maybe 2 or 3 reps and always had a good service.
As for returning a dead on arrival rep, it's standard practice I'm afraid. Did you photoshop the picture lol
As Steel has suggested it's an easy fix for a Watchsmith. I was suggesting that Puretime are not a scam. You said you've been ripped off - but the $100 is for shipping by your account. You just need to take stock of what has happened and what you are saying and accusing people of.
Maybe if you ask, people can suggest someone to repair yours in CONUS - I can't as I'm EU and I use SSteel.
Finally, if I came across as harsh I apologise.

It's possible Micky, but it seems strange to post such stuff.

Yep, too easy for you guys! An Omega Seamaster GMT Great White.
Birthday suits are great when worn by ladies
Anyone else want to join in with a lume shot?

You've been here 6 years and only have 12 posts. Then come here to slate Puretime who is a trusted dealer across many of the rep fora. Maybe you should ask for help first, you'd get a much better response from people. There are even people on the board who could assist you. This is how the rep world works.

I heard Joshua has them but there's a problem with the reactor core. Keeps your wrist nice and warm, but you grow testicles on your forehead.
Wait for v2.0, it's guaranteed to be 1:1.
...... along with a giant phallus. Especially popular amongst some members next door.

Many times it seems (to me) like a cold wind blowing down an empty alley. Maybe I am just numbed out from reading the same 8 questions 500 times.
Builders keep a specialized forum like this going, not tire kickers. Newbies need to read and learn, then stick around and contribute...not just hit and run.
Btw, who has the best sub?
In answer to your question; arguably the Russians have the best sub in the Typhoon.

Nope
I have a pre 2008 franken with gen dial and ETA 7750, gen post 2008, gen titanium, post 2008 rep and 2 which are being worked on by Micky - one will be a white franken and the last will be a mishmash of a bit of fun may change the insert and may relume the hands to something wacky. I'll post them up in a few weeks once they're back with me.

Nice. Shame we won't see a rep anytime soon.

Here it's quality over quantity. Anyone can buy a rep. But turning that rep into a work of art takes time patience and dedication. That's why this community exists.
It's why I'm here as I have neither the knowledge or ability to mod my watches so I rely on the good people of RWG to do it for me!

You can strip some of your old bracelet; removable links, clasp etc to recover some of the cost of a new bracelet. You also got one hell of a deal on a gen Seamaster Chrono too. Post up some photos sometime - it's my all time favourite watch - I have 2 gens and 4 reps of it!
-
Maybe Omega can recondition it? I think that as long as you keep the SEL's, then any bond bracelet will fit.
Yes, both reps and gens have double spring bar holes. Makes the watch look more balanced using the top holes with a strap. Can even be used to give a micro adjustment if 'between' holes on a strap.
May I ask @Seafoam how much your paid? PM if you prefer. Oh and SSteel is replacing crown and tube on some of mine if you need advice.

Well said folks. I like our quiet part of the internet.

True, it seems that some of the longstanding members are less active which is a shame as it's a pleasant site. Reps are still popular and as dvn said the other sites seem busier, but a lot of that is trivial chit chat and lots of back stabbing.

Rep or gen? If rep I'd just replace. I've never seen a Seamaster bond bracelet with stretch like that.
Screws

I've had (a little) success in the past going to a friendly optician who lets me rummage through his 'odd screw box'. In fact I need to go again as I've a few screws missing from various watches.
