  1. Name and shame AJ

On another, non watch, forum years ago I was scammed. I had the guys address so I just sent several letters without a stamp on them over the course of a couple of months. The guy would be contacted by the post office to say he had a letter waiting collection with a fee to pay. He'd then waste his time travelling to the post office to find out that it was just a demand from me. The first one he paid for the rest I have no idea, but eventually I had £50 appear in my bank account and a PM on the forum to 'please stop'. It cost me next to nothing and him lots of wasted time.

  2. @hetlijk2 you should really listen to what is being posted here. Your expectations are far too high, you do realise that you are not dealing with large corporations, yes? You have found the rep forum consisting of gentlemen members, if you were elsewhere you'd have been thrown to the wolves and would either have been banned or have left disillusioned and of your own free will.

Now, rep watches are great, they offer the experience of a high end timepiece at a fraction of the cost. However there are several caveats that go along with this. Do not expect an AD experience. Never, NEVER use Paypal dispute. Accept that the watches can and do go wrong and you'll be needing to get things fixed - you won't get a 12/18/24 month warrantee.

You've had, what I consider, great service from Toro and Micky, so just suck up the costs and mark it down to the cost of rep ownership. I guess the initial price of buying a rep is only part of its ownership. Many people factor in a service when buying a new watch.

I was going to say maybe you should by from M2M, but I for one would be apprehensive about dealing with you. Temper your expectations and you'll get some nice watches and will enjoy the experience, if you don't you'll soon get frustrated and leave.

  3. What our TD's provide is a safe method to buy a good quality replica watch at a fair price. These guys are out to sell watches not to hold your hand during the purchase process. If you want an AD experience then go and visit an AD. Toro is a great dealer who stands by his offerings. You are lucky to have found this site to assist you. Now sit back and accept that you are paying maybe 10% of the price of a gen for 95% of the quality. If you're uncomfortable with this you're going to be unhappy and won't stay long in the rep world.

  4. recognised that closed factory piece!

You gotta get the GMT thing going - recall seeing someone sell a genuine GMT bezel insert....perfect for this no?

    You do indeed sir!

I'm thinking of a ceramic insert from a new Seamaster, but will have to see if (a) I can source one and (b) if it will fit a PO bezel.

I have a gen gmt so I'm not too sure about what to do with this one. I sent it to Micky as an alternative to the closed factory case (lose the Seamaster fart valve).

  5. There are a lot of what look like vintage gen Omegas on eBay. They are usually quite cheap in pawnbrokers and watch stores too. I bought a couple of vintage Sesmasters; one full gold and one gold plated for around $1600 for the two.

If you want to buy from eBay just make sure that there are plenty of photos - which you can post up on here for members to critique for you. Make sure they contain a clear movement shot too.

    Here's mine.

  6. With Omega being my favourite manufacturer, I've been saving up some parts over the last couple of years for a project.

I have a gen Seamaster 2254 that I love but I wanted something a little different so these are off to Micky for him to work some magic on.

The closed factory case will be used to house the Seamaster 2230 dial and a PO bezel. I'm not too sure on the bezel insert yet - still thinking about that one.

The two chrono's will be 'fixed' and one fitted with the white gen dial. The other will be a surprise!

Will post again once I have more news.

  7. Why do people do this? AJ, as always you're being more than fair. I hope you don't extend the deadline - sometimes people need to understand that the line must not be crossed.

If he can't afford the watch he shouldn't have bought it. I suggest he returns it to you in the same condition as he received it, unless of course he pays the outstanding balance very quickly.
