  1. Its definetly my favorite rep. I actually got the chance to buy the gen brown rubber strap for it. The colors are really amazing. the gen is 45.000 eu now, its a tuff one to pull off :-)
  2. link to josh New Nautilus rep. Obviously a rep of the newer jumbo, but it looks really nice. NIce datewindow placement. The movement isnt going to fool anyone for long thou. Too bad they cant redo the plates behind the rotor or something. But it sure looks nice :thumbsupsmileyanim:
  3. Very nice article on the history of the royal oaks :-) http://www.timezone.com/library/extras/201012035459
  4. Thats so funny. Why would it need to be serviced? its completely new watch, i guess the only thing would be a new cg. What a ripoff.
  5. What is so odd, is that they pulled it off with the nautilus case from the first mbk version. The case constructions is very similar with themovement being dropped in from the front and all. I dont get how they can miss such an important detail. AGAIN!

The crown guard on the 028 is the standart one, on the 004, an aftermarket one was installed, but i cant remember wich one. The 009 just has the gen one :-) I havent compared to the avitt dlc color, but i did compare the 028 to the reissue of the 026 the other day. The new 026 (that has the dlc coating) is a tad darker in the tone. There is definetly a difference there.

Must say, these watches are absolutely fantastic. they just feel right. Does anyone know what the differences in pvd coating color is in the different series (pre-v, a,? Ive been trying to read up on it, but its so hard to find any info on this topic. My gen 009 is lighter, and more grey in the tone, but ive seen them a lot darker too.

Just recently got my watches back from Rollis pvd service, and damn they turned out beautiful. Both my pam 28a and my 04b have been transformed into the watches i always wanted them to be. Here is a comparison shot with my gen 009 in the middle The pvd came out a bit darker than the 009, but it just needs a bit of wearing and it will be perfect. Here is the 028. Rollis watchsmith installed a gen crown i had, and did a fantastisc job on fitting all the parts. It feels perfect. Here is the 004 The crown i had on the 004, didnt survive the removal of the old pvd, so off course as the champ he is, Rolli sourced a new pvd crown for me. And here is the 009. Just thought id add it to equasion :-) Its been a long journey for these watches, and i must say Rolli has been a true gentlemen. He has been extremely helpfull in his guidance. For anyone considering using hes pvd service, i give him my highest recomendations. Thank you so much for your help with these watches :-) Rkdk
  9. Would it be possible to emulate the carbon case with plastic maybe? It would probably be an easier material to work with.
  10. Actually considering getting it for my gen 009. Are there any serial nrs inside a case like this?

  12. So i decided to get the gen 009bL i was offered, and its absolutely stunning. The pvd coating is so light compared to my reps, and i decided to take some pics. Check it out. PS: Rumour has it, that only 3% of the 009s were produced with the L dial, so i might just have been really lucky. Could be an urban myth though. In the pics an older 009 from davidsen, and a custom 004 job. Supposedly the 004 was pvd coated in the same factory as the original pvds, but comparing to gen, it doesnt seem likely check it out :-) davidsen 009 on the left and custom 004 on the right 0909 crowns
  13. Funny enough. A matching watch just came up on paneristi. Its in sweden, and the guy wants 9900 euro for it. The pvd is in better condition though, but one of the straps is missing. This deal seems better and better.
  14. Well, ive always wanted this watch. Its a holy grail for me. The 009 is what panerais are all about. Stealth, industrial and that beautiful simple dial makes it such a stunning watch. I have the 004, 009, 026, 028 and the 195 in reps, and ive never been quite satisfied. The pvd is always a bit of and so on. Since i have the money, and my birthday is coming up, ive decided to go for it. Im going to see the watch on wednesday and decide from there. Im going to try and get the price down a bit, but all in all i think im getting it. These are so rarely for sale, and last time i saw one, it was snatched up in no time. You might wanna watch the for sale section soon. There might be a bunch of pvd panerais coming up for sale, Ha Ha. Anyways i really apreciate you guys venting your opinions about the watch. There is just so much knowledge here, and im thrilled to be part of this forum.
  15. yeah, me too. It looks absolutely great with the tan strap too.
  16. Pics are here. Sorry for the attachment, i dont know how to upload the otherwise.
  17. Well, i do have a 009 rep, and off course its never "worth" the 10.000$ if you look at it from a rep vs gen perspective. I just happen to have the money, and i always liked the watch. Figured it might be a good investment, and a joy to own.
  18. Hi guys. Ive been offered a gen 009 b at around 10.000$ Its seems in pretty good shape, but obviously not completely new. It has the L swiss L, but i dont know if that makes a difference. What do you guys think?
  19. yo guys. sorry, but i dont have anything but a phonecamera at the moment. my camera got stolen. Eiither way, it really is fantastic, and the one sander is linking to, is the right version.
  20. Just to let you guys know. I was just at selfridges in london, and i had a chance to "sneak" compare the new dial roo rose gold to the gen, and it is spot on. The grey dial is a close as we are going to get, so if you were wondering, go buy it:-)
  21. check out this one. Looks very good, especially with the crooked seconds hand. Which models is this in gen?
