a lot of fun

If he asks, why dont you just come clean? Say you have a few low end watches, and because you cant afford the the gens, you have some reps.
I bet, if you approach it from the honest side, hell be cool.
There is no reason to "compete" on his terms. especially since he has so many watches.
Also most people cant spot reps anyway. even though he is a gen collector, mostly only the real brand nerds can spot flaws in the models they are experts in.

Do my, APROO sec @12, rubber strap deploayant boucle , fit the Oracle carbon strap?
thank you.
Yes it does:-) Im using the oracle kevlar strap with rep buckle, and its fits perfectly.

Hi Guys. If you use the search button, there are a bunch of really good reviews of the ap royal oak jumbo from mbk. Loads of pics and so on.
-
I called my local ad, to ask for one of the new pam 026ks, but of course they didnt have any, and couldnt get hold of one.
Anybody know the story behind this watch?
At 1000 produced, it isnt as silly limited as it could be.

The gold wearing of is a clishee by now. Ive worn my gold plated big bang everywhere, and it shows no sign of wear, what so ever.
Go for it, if bling is your thing.

I dont really understand why you guys would engage in a conversation about wether the watch is gen or rep with strangers. My family and close friends know i collect reps, but people i randomly meet at parties and so on dont.
I remember wearing my gen gold daytona (on strap, so not the gangster/cheesy millionaire version), and a guy asked me if it was fake.
if i was wearing a rep, i wouldnt have been offended, but since my watch was gen, i actually felt kind of insulted. I cant remember what i answered, but thats not the point.
Im just thinking that a gen owner wouldnt even bother answering that question, and i guess thats the best way to pull of wearing a rep. Just ignore stupid questions.

the finish of the new seconds at 12, are far superior the old mbw cases. i dont know about the dials, but the new ones arent bad either.

I was walking down the street and this little old lady told me she liked my watch, so I said, "What f**k you! It's not fake!" So I went into karate mode and SCISSOR KICKED HER IN THE FACE! *WHAM BAM* Then I pulled her up by her hair but her wig came off, turns out she was bald! *GROSS* f**k**g old people. Then I picked her up by the ears and kneed her in the face muai tai style! *BLADOW* And I was like "That's what you get for walking so slow b**ch! AND THERE'S NO WAY YOU COULD KNOW MY WATCH IS FAKE, CAUSE IT'S NOT, IT'S A MODDED MBW SUPER DUPER ULTIMATE SUB, AND IT'S REAL! REAL I SAY! IT USES THE SAME MOVEMENT MOST REAL WATCHES DO ANYWAY, IT'S SWISS ETA, IT'S A DIVISION OF SWATCH, PLUS I BOUGHT IT FOR A GOOD VALUE, NOT CAUSE I CAN'T AFFORD A REAL ONE CAUSE I SPENT ALL MY MONEY ON KARATE CLASSES, SO f**k YOU! OH, AND I DRIVE A PORSCHE WORTH MORE THAN YOUR GRANDCHILDREN!" *KAZAAM* Yeah, I showed her what's what. That's the last time she'll be calling me out on my watch.
No more gta for you my friend

I just say "thanks", and then talk about something else. It leaves the question open, but doesnt reveal much.
if anyone asks how i can afford it (not counting close friends and family of course), i always answer "i have my ways".
Being a dj and producer, no one knows how much i earn
Always keep them guessing

I once had a boss who used to say, "Only two kinds of people drive Jags. Rich ones drive new Jags, and poor ones drive old ones". He was a fat bunt who drove Mercedes and owned nursing homes on the side..
LOL. Well, i never said i was rich.

I have reps (several) AND gens (several - rolex only). That is no antagonism, that is the reason why I can't afford a USD 125k car, only a USD 70k car
Some people don't buy reps because they can't afford the gen. Some people buy them because of the fun modding them to a nearly gen look, feel and quality.
People buying reps because they can't afford the gens are trying to impress others with something they actually don't have and are the kind of people I am looking down on.
Have you ever considered that some people buy a 70.000$ car, so they can pull of wearing a patek replica?
Wrap your head around that

Ya know, that's a very tempting idea. An cheap old Jag (or even a Merc) as a 'daily beater' and something fancier for the weekends. Just like watches.
You've got me thinking now, rkdk...
With all these older luxury cars around for no money, there is nooooo reason to drive a citroen berlingo or such.
Especially if you dont live in denmark, where prices are insane on cars.
Get one with good service history, and they will outlast you.
classy all week, and fun for the weekend. ;)

rkdk:
Are you on DK or UK? The Beemer is a RHD with UK plates, but all the rest are LHD! What year is the XJ8? I looked into these a couple of years ago, and the newer V8's are (among other things) more reliable than its V6 predecessor, but with the same MPG rating.
Sorry, but i didnt have a picture of my e32, so i "stole" this one. Im in dk, so the steering wheel is on the wrong side in the picture.
Actually i was trying a 95 xj6. It was a superb car. very nice ride and handling. All services where ok, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. Im still thinking about it, because i want it as a daily driver. Just want to be sure that its reliable.
-
Everyday driving, im on this one.
on weekends i drive this
Im actually going to check out this one as a daily driver tonight.
I always thought jags where really beautiful, and the x300 is probably the most reliable one
1979 Ford Pinto Wagon. She's a looker isnt she?I love these boxy american cars. They are top:-)

bracelet does look nice though.

Its all in the detail of this watch. As i see it the "automatic" letters are too big. Also the biggest flaw on these, has always been the open caseback.
It is supposed to have a similar construction to the nautilus, where the movement is only removable from the front.
I have yet to see a version better than the mbw version, and thats only because of the breathtaking finish.

I test drove a bmw 320d. It was really amazing. With chiptuning, it has 211 hp, goes 19 kilometers on one liter of diesel. Simply a fantastisc car.
Both sporty, and ecenomical. Im considering one atm.

Sorry guys. Just venting some frustration here :D :D
In the mean time. Enjoy some complementary photos of this beautiful timepiece
here pictured with good friends and relatives
-
holy crap. no one is gonna spot this one. The finish is super close.
-
well, the question here is if he told you it was rep before, or after you told him the price.
The finish isnt all that different to gen. Id say the seconds at 9 mbw, was much worse that these new seconds at 12 editions.
-
How did you get the good crown and cg plated in the same color as the case. I cant figure out how thats possible, unless you replated the case aswell?
is deadly beautiful for sure, and if you start offering this watch to other members, ill take one:-)
-
Its absolutely fantastic. the bronze bezel takes it to a whole new level.
It would be a beautiful rep.
-
They are going STEP by STEP.....now this piece is titanium at least....all other flaws are still there and the biggest flaw... it is way too small!!!
Theo
Well, it looks the right size now 48 mm it says. I wonder if the gen is measured with the crown protector thingeys or not.
Im also wondering if this verision has hos or hrs on the dial.

such a beautiful and classic watch. Could do with an update though, since its not very big.
Does anyone know how big, or small it wears? The nautilus jumbo wears a lot bigger than it looks.
