  1. the bracelet is completely inaccurate too. all the links are the same size, where as on the gen the link graduately become smaller. Thats the whole beauty of the bracelet.

regarding the gold screws on the mbw, some of the older jumbo versions, actually had gold screws. Especially the ones from the early 80s, so its not that inaccurate.

The 15300 has white gold screws, and the screws do look different from the stainless steel. Again, thats a problem on this new version. But the crownguards do take the prize. Where did they come from?!!!

  2. Where do i get one, love the colours, No seriously where?

A company called fatty has made a limited run of these. I dont know exactly when they will be available. Apparently fatty is a high end street wear brand, so the watches should be available in "fatty" :p :p shops.

  3. I think you actually did the right thing. You played the "take away". Women want what they can't have.

Don't be an idiot and tell her you are in love with her and all your feelings yatta yatta. Tell her you enjoy her company, have fun and slip her the old sausage. Don't call her for two days after that and she'll be hooked.

I 2econd that. You have the age advantage (for a 23 year old girl to score a guy like you is a big deal). You allready provoced her with english women joke. English women love being taken the [censored] out off, especially if they are the strong types. When she was in your bed, and you didnt make the move, it was the absolutely perfect thing to do, because you have left her wondering.

She wants to know what the deal is now. She wants to know why this 30odd year old guy, didnt jump on her like she is used to. She is curious for sure.

Give her a call, and ask her if she by any chance took the keys to your bike when she left, because you cant seem to find them. Then ask if she by any chance would be interested in helping you look for them.

  4. Please do not do a eleanor retro mod on it. There are nearly no 68 fastbacks left, because everyone is eleanoring them. Keep it clean, and drop a nice crate bigblock in there. Id kill for that car.

Im currently driving a 65 resto coupe as my summer car. Actually nothing special, but i love it anyway.

And please dont leave in the garage like that. it hurts me to see it in that state.

Is there any rust on it? and what engine is in it?

  5. A classic Ford fan. Nice to meet you. Mine is just a standard 289V8 nuts and bolts resto (OK OK I'll stop with the "Car Forum" pics, I know it's a Watch forum :p )

    1828a.gif

What a beauty. Classic convertible, and it doesnt get better. ;) Looks like you have a very clean car.

  6. Very nice notch, you deserve every last compliment you get for that! I can't tell if it's a windsor under there or not...whatcha got in there? B)

I actually dont know wether its a windsor, or cleveland. Only the block is original, and all the rest is new stuff.

The guy i bought it from claimed 360 bhp, but it seems kinda unlikely from a smallblock. Id say around 270 maybe. Still does outperfrom anything else on the road, but it really light, so thats a main factor. Gonna build in a manual box this year, since the c4 steals quite a bit of power. Cant wait to drive that engine with a manual :D. Restomod all the way.

Im actually considering a 850i. Its the closest to the m1, and my old 735i is kinda beginning to bore me a bit, even though its the best driving car ive ever owned.

And that 635. So beautiful. Bmws are just so good cars.

  7. Don't target the person in your reply who is trying to bring peace to the thread. I don't appreciate that.

I think it was ment as a comment to the thread in general, not you specific. Especially since you were trying to calm things down ;)

These subjects allways seem to get people on edge (myself included).

Let me try out a quick diversion manouvre. It might work.

SO THESE BIG BANGS SURE ARE EXPENSIVE HUH?!!!

    LOL

  8. I am so glad that I have TeeJay on "ignore", his pointless whining posts are a waste of time. I only responded because another member told me what you said, and I see you have several follow up retorts which are no doubt really intelligent and illuminating to others who are craving to be annoyed, but I have long ago stopped reading your tripe.

wow. I was prepared to give you the benefit of the doubt, since you lost close friends, but you really are unintelligent.

Now i really feel sorry for you.

  9. You know what I find offensive Teejay? I find it offensive that not one, not two, but three of my closest friends were murdered in the World Trade Center towers by Musilm fanatic bastards on September 11, 2001. Murdering bastards is what they were and always will be. I am also offended that people of the Muslim faith do not speak up more and do more, and they could if they wished to,do a hell of a lot more to stop the cruelty and murder carried on in the name of thier "Allah" It is beyond despicable the atrocities these murderers carry out daily and the rest of the Muslim world sits by and does nothing. So if someone is offended that I might joke and say that "Allah blows goats" is something to avoid saying in the mideast, let me add that they should also include that they should not say "Allah blows cows, dogs, pigs, rabbits and werewolves". If that is offensive, then TFB. The murder of my friends is more offensive, and this is how I deal with it.

You said it yourself. Your friends were murdered by extremists, and not by islam in general. Why should 1,2 billion people act on the stupidity of a few fanatics. The tragedy of 9/11 has widely been condemned by the muslim world, though this rarley gets any media attention.

Dont get me wrong. My deepest condolances to you, and your friends families. 9/11 is probably the worst tragedy ill ever witness (i hope), but there is no reason to slay a religion on the acts of few.

We must never forget how many people were murdered in the name of christ.

Att: Corgi: The actions of usa and israel, have been discussed high and low over here in europe. Somehow, i doubt that "freedom" is the main agenda.

  10. take a gen, or a fool proof rep. stick with ss, or two tone, since they are all gonna be wearing gold.

iwc, pam, maybe a big bang would work.

Rich, corporate arabs never waste time on checking out reps. They simply dont care. After all they do have enough money. ive dealt with them a lot, and being in a prestiguous enviroment, you never suspect people wearing reps. its not even on their radar.

that being said. if you sport a cheap quartz bling rep, theyll spot that straight away. I guess, that goes without saying:-)

    good luck with it

  11. im with you guys. had a gold daytona, and it was just soo f.... boring. Easy to wear, and people gave such good service everywhere. But just plain boring.

Sold it and bought some more nice reps. Now im actually considering getting a gen ap 15300, because i love the mbk so much. Then again, im not sure there is a point, since i love my mbk so much:-). Too bad a gen nautilus is out of my price range:-)

  12. I'm thinking of starting a new poll... People who care too much about whether other people are wearing a watch or not.... Should they be unconcerned? - Or are they just plain doolally?

I actually enjoy this brief moment off arrogance on this forum. Its comparable to the gen rep discussions going on @ timezone. It reminds me that we are all just human.

I couldnt care less if people wear watches or not.

But i really hate people wearing socks in sandals. Or people who eat while talking to me on the phone. Or parents who think society owes them something, now they have a kid.

    but thats just me :p

  13. Ive only had really good experience with david san. Hes been super cool to me, and ive bought 3 watches and a bunch of parts. He was even working on a ceramic coating at one point, and he was sending me ideas and drawings. A very nice, and enthusiastic person.

I bought one watch from him where the movement holders where missing. Mind you, this was a couple of years ago, just when he started of doing whole watches instead of only case sets. I was about to email him, and the postman knocked. The same afternoon came a little letter with a set of movement holders. He must have remembered that he forgot:-)

He has always been keen on checking up on weird things for me, such as a pvd coated caseback, with the saphire glass. Never a problem, even though i never ended up ordering.

I can only recommend him. A super guy.
